I entered DP x DC from the DP side, but i see all this stuff in fics I'd love to know more about so I'm looking for recommendations of canon content to consume (preferably specific comic issues/books versus a run, a movie, or individual episode because i know the universe is vast but my time is limited) about any of the following:
Jason's resurrection and re intro to Gotham
Jason beating up Tim
Dick's & Bruce's reaction to Jason's death
Something about Bruce kicking Dick out because he was a ward but not adopted?
Dick becoming Nightwing
Tim becoming Robin
Tim's relationship with his parents
Tim's beef with Ra's
Tim getting Bruce back from the time stream?
How the LoA operates. How does it use the pits? What's the culture? What's this about Ra's switching bodies?
Talia & Bruce's relationship
Steph as Robin
Jason's bro Danny
Cass, like anything. Is she Orphan? Black bat? How did she join the bats?
Babs becoming Oracle
What's up on the no metas in gotham thing?
Alfred's death
JLD - what type of missions do they do? Who are all the members?
John Constantine - what has he done to his soul?
Damian's clones
How Harley and Pamela got together
Hal. I have only watched one JL media the green lantern was John Stewart. Who is this other guy?
JL's relationship with world governments
I can always absorb things via fic and wikis, but it's nice to experience the actual story to pick up on small things and form my own opinion.

Mountain Troll- DCxDP prompt
It was summer and this meant the most obnoxious thrill seekers were climbing Mt.Everest again. Except during the winter something had set itself up there.
No one was able to find a usable pass up the mountain and anyone who tried would find themselves turned around and back at the base.
The mysterious force ended up being a cause to investigate and no one could make it up there on two legs. Instead, it was Superman who took the short flight up there.
The air was thin on top of the mountain. An inhospitable place for all life. People came here to say that they were on top of the world. A notion that was lost on Clark, but he probably had no right to say that with abilities like his.
At the peak of the Everest he saw a creatureâa boyâsomething at least.
He had pale blue-green skin and frost white hair. He was focused on his task of breathing puffs of frost around him, covering the landscape with snow.
When Clark landed in the fresh piles of snow the creature's bright green eyes snapped in his direction.
"Hey, stop that! I just cleaned that area!" He snapped "And get off my mountain!"
"Uh, sorry?" Clark said reflexively as he floated instead of touching the snow. "This is your mountain?"
The creature huffed and went back to to freezing everything in sight.
"Well, no one was living here and it's not like humans can live here."
"That's true but people like to use it?"
The creature shrugged.
"For what? To die on? This place is filthy. Covered in trash, corpses, and human waste. Just look at the empty oxygen tanks. And look at what they've done to the peak. The messy footprints are an eyesore."
Those were all fair points. It would cut done on casualties if people couldn't climb the mountain.
"But there are those who come here for research. They need access to the mountain." Clark reported.
The creature's sharp ears wiggled or maybe flicked in annoyance at the comment.
"They have the base of the mountain for that. But there is nothing up here they need." He said.
Clark surmised that this was the best he was going to get out of the being. He had already formed his assumption on the situation. This was a nature spirit or a yeti. I mean stranger things exist and if there was anything with a vested interest in keep people off their territory that would be it.
"Why are you up here?" He asked.
"I dunno, it felt comfortable up here. It was also a mess so I started cleaning it up. Look if you are up here help out and move these bodies. You can't bury them up here so you need to take them to the base. I need to rebuild the peak." The yeti ordered.
Clark obeyed the bossy kid without much thought. He was sure he was some sort of force of nature. Other than himself few people could survive in the harsh conditions as maybe the kid was an alien.
****
Danny needed a new haunt. One that really fit him.
Naturally, he wanted somewhere where he could see the stars. The one place that felt right was the highest point on earth, where he was closest to space. It was nice and coldâperfect for his frost core. The only problem with his new haunt was the people. He hated tourists. They only come to the peak to take a goddam selfie and leave their litter everywhere. Not to mention the dead bodies piled up. No, Danny didn't need that. The ghosts on the mountain were another thing.
Regardless Danny kept them away while he repaired the damage on the mountain and destroying the travel routes.
He really didn't care about Spandex other there as long as he didn't bother him.

King and Mayor
DP x DC Prompt
Danny has been Mayor of Gotham for a while already. Having become Mayor when Damian had become Robin at 12. He may have another role of power, but that won't stop him from helping others.
He had become the mayor when he was too tired and thinking about other things, like his Ghost King duties, and accidentally signed up for the candidacy. And since almost all of Gotham didn't want their current mayor in power, it was almost a unanimous vote for Danny to be the next mayor.
The Batfam has no clue that Danny is the new mayor, as they all had a lot to deal with during the voting. They all believe that the same mayor is still in power and is being bought off by the Rogues to ignore most of them. Danny is refusing the money the Rogues offer him, as he's already got too much money because of his Ghost King inheritance.
Danny is working on making the city a better place, as Lady Gotham was kind enough to welcome him into her haunt after he lost his to the GIW and his parents. He's also gotten a good chance of getting Batman to investigate the GIW. First, he made sure that none of his workers could be bought out by the Rogues, ensuring that they were well paid and had protection for both them and their families (Danny asks Ghosts with obsessions related to protecting to guard his workers and their families).
Once he had ensured that his workers were protected and paid well enough, he moved on to making sure the GCPD wouldn't be bought out and had good healthcare specialists he found in the Infinite Realms heal the GCPD officers.
The Batfam will learn of the new mayor when Jim tells Batman about the new mayor helping the GCPD be less corrupt.

Dying to Love- DCXDP
Dating is hard. And Danny has bad at tough go at it.
"She called me creepy." Danny sighed into his coffee cup.
"What? You're not creepy." Tim reassured.
This has been an ongoing thing. Every time one of Danny's dates canceled, rejected, or ghosted him he ended up pouring out his sorrows with Tim.
"Well, who wants to date a funeral director?" Danny gripes.
It was kind of hard to explain how they met. The Waynes wanted to move a headstone for their no longer dead son/brother. Danny had to oversee the process that day and thankfully they didn't need to dig up remains.
Danny didn't know why Tim wanted to be his friend but who was he to complain when he didn't know anyone in this city. No one had any reason to talk to him since he was always working. Constantine came in on occasion at least. The Bats did as well.
And Danny? He keeps to his own. What humans do is on them. The ghosts are enough of a handful. Yeah, it was cold but so was he. The mortuary was comfortable, and he liked this life.
Yes, it was emotional. How do you tell a family that their newborn who died of SIDS needed to be held for a few hours before they were ready for burial? Or that grandma was mad they didn't cremate her like she wanted?
The ghosts weren't always there. Most of the time he was alone. It was rare that one lingered around the body or didn't pass on immediately. It just meant that death let them slide for a while. She was unpredictable like that. That's how he got here.
It's a lonely life though.
Did he just want friends? Well sure. So he somehow became friends with Tim Drake. Easy. Okay not easy, he and Tim just had common interests like true crime. They both could talk for hours on that alone.
But that's not the same as dating and he wanted to have a relationship. So he went on a few dating apps and had a few meet-cutes. But they never last.
"Danny, you aren't creepy." Tim lied. "You love what you do and someone will understand."
"Tim, even my coworkers don't want to talk to me." Danny sobbed.
"Well, male morticians have a bad rep. They might not know you well yet. Give it some time."
Tim knew very well that Danny was creepy. Danny had a habit of talking way too much about his job. Not everyone finds embalming and cutting open bodies fascinating. But he'd never tell Danny to stop.
"I actually invited my last date over and she ran the moment she came in."
"She must be uncomfortable going to guys' places. That's normal."
Tim knew why that happened. Danny collected occult and haunted items. He would make displays of death masks, haunted dolls, animal and human bones. Danny does tarot readings for himself every morning. It's not normal behavior. It's actually the reason Tim started talking to him. He had suspicions that Danny might be a serial killer. He wasn't, he just had hobbies.
Tim was an enabler on all this. He thought about pointing Danny in the direction of some edgy types or those into witchcraft. But if he did that then Danny would be dating someone else.
Tim was good but he wasn't a saint. So everything Danny fumbles with a potential partner he stands by to pick up the pieces. Call him what you want, it's not like he was sabotaging his friend. He just didn't want him dating other people. And honestly, if someone doesn't like his interest then why aren't worth Danny's time.
"Hey, do you I know Red Robin's number?" Danny asked suddenly.
"Why do you ask?"
"I don't know. I think if I were with someone used to this for of thing it would be easier. Also, he's the good-looking Robin."
Tim 100% filed that away as a gloat over Dick.
That being said, if he did give out that number would that further the manipulative asshole title that he probably already earned. He was nothing if not smart enough to be self-aware.

Danny totally knows exactly how Damian is feeling, because it's what he felt around every ghost that came out the portal. You think he fought those ghosts because he was that responsible and noble? Psh no, he was 14, it was mostly the ghost aggression. It's a baby ghost defense mechanism. He has since grown out of that, but Damian clearly hasn't and that's so cute, he finally knows what Sam means when she talks about cute aggression. Damian even seems to be holding back and channeling it into surveillance, isn't that so nice of him, to not attack on sight? Swoon ("Yes Jazz, I know that's rock bottom standards but the last girl I dated was literally my enemy so")
"That's like- that's such a human thing to do, but he's so proper, it's like idk ghost courting rituals or something to hold that back - no Tucker, I don't mean literally no one has taught me secret ghost courting, I promise I would've told you if something like that had happened. Anyway, man, it's kinda cute not gonna lie..."
Meanwhile Damian is relishing his victory in proving it's not a crush and Hood is freaking out because who the hell is that guy
Barbara: You are not going to believe what I found in Damian's laptop. It's actually a little worrying.
Bruce: Should I be worried as a father or as Batman?
Barbara: *So and so hand motion*
Bruce: *deep breath* What did you find?
Barbara: He has files upon files about a boy named Daniel Fenton. Apparently, he's been following him around for months documenting everything there is about him because, and I quote, "Fenton generates a airborne illness targeting humans. Symptoms include: Quicken heart, sweaty palms, flushing in the face, upset stomach and difficulty in speech."
Bruce: So he has a crush and instead of handling it in a healthy normal way, Damian just assumed that this Fenton boy is patient zero? And now he's stalking the boy to prove it.
Barbara: That's a good summary, yeah. Oh and he's doing it as Damian Wayne. I'm also like ninety-nine percent sure Fenton is aware of Damian following him around.
Bruce defeated: Of course he is. How bad is Fenton handling it?
Barbara: Suprisingly, I think he finds it funny. I hacked Fenton's messages to his friends back in Amity Park and he has described Damian as "A cute human trying to be a proper ghost in courting."
Bruce: What does that mean?
Barbara shrugging: Local teenage slang most likely. Other teenagers in Amity Park talk like that a lot from what I could dig up. In any case, you need to have a chat with Damian.
Bruce sighing: I'll dig up the old puberty books and speak with Damian tonight. There goes my bubble bath time....
Barbara patting his shoulder: May you one day soak for hours without your kids doing something stupid.
#Damian knows exactly what he's feeling#is danny cute?#yes. ofcourse#he's also sure this is NOT about that#(it's a little about that)#< these were my original tags#and then i had an idea#and it spiraled from there#so adding on:#danny is fully aware#he finds it cute#barbra sees that and misinterprets

This is an old post but if no one ever answered you, it's because this was an alternate universe dream thing so everyone but Barry was playing a different version of themselves and didn't know Barry whose job in that universe didn't include Gay Police Chief Boss. And it was set in old timey era hence the clothing choices. And the version of those people Barry knows are straight/married to women and have hardly interacted so them suddenly being married and Iris' Dads was surprising and confusing
Dads, thereâs no reason to be concerned.
#posts I regret making#but am posting anyway#does anyone even care?#probably not#talking to the void

Okay but what about a scenario with the season one yj team, and maybe no one on the team knows who Batman and Robin are behind the mask, not even Wally.
And perhaps the team is getting annoyed that Robin knows all of their identities, but he wonât share his. They donât care that he tries to explain that itâs not just his identity, itâs Batmanâs, so itâs not just him who has to be comfortable with sharing it with them. It doesnât matter if he explains how paranoid Batman is, how itâs Batman who makes the final call on if Robin can or cannot share his identity. They just blame Robin, calling him a bad teammate, a bad friend.
Kaldur is the only one who doesnât press him, who assures him that he has no obligation to share his identity with them.
Too bad the rest of the team doesnât seem to get the memo.
And maybe one weekend, Black Canary has insisted that the team spends the weekend together. Itâs a long sleepover, itâs team bonding. Itâs so they can actually have a chance to act like kids.
And Robin had been excited. Heâd been really looking forward to it, even if Batman did insist that he wear a mask the entire time. Itâs more reliable than sunglasses, Batman said. More likely to stay in place. Not easy to remove like the sunglasses are.
Dick had laughed and said that itâs not like anyone would try to take his glasses off, but he complied with Bruce anyway. It did make him feel a little better, knowing the mask would be in place all weekend and he wouldnât have to worry about slipping up.
But then he fell asleep during a movie. It had been a very long week, what with school and patrol and training leading to some very late nights. He was exhausted, and it was getting late into the night, and the movie was so boring. He fell asleep curled up on the floor between the coffee table and the couch, cocooned in a layer of blankets.
And he woke up to fingers trying to pry his mask off. Training took over, it was pure instinct, because Bruce has drilled into him how important it is to keep his mask on, to not let anyone remove it, even if heâd been kidnapped by a rogue and incapacitated. Anyone touching near his face makes him wake up instantly, and he grabs the hand that was near him and snaps it before backing away.
A pained yelp wakes him up more, reminds him where he is, because it was Wally whose wrist he just broke. It was Wally who was trying to remove his mask.
Dick is breathing heavily and looking around the room, trying to figure out whatâs going on. But now he has the others yelling at him, asking him whatâs wrong with him, why would he hurt Wally like that, it was just a joke.
âItâs not a joke!â he shouts at them, his voice cracking. âYou were gonna take off my mask!â
âOh come on, boy blunder, itâs not that serious!â Artemis argues.
âYes, it is!â he gasps. âYou canât just take off my mask! Iâve told you all a million times that Iâm not allowed to let you know who I am!â
âItâs not like weâd even recognize you just because we took it off!â Mâgann argues.
Thatâs arguably false, considering Dick Graysonâs face is on the cover of one of the magazines Mâgann currently has on the coffee table right that instant.
âThatâs not the point!â Dick shouts, but heâs already grabbing his stuff and throwing it all into his bag before he darts to the zeta tubes. Heâs hyperventilating and trying very hard not to outright panic when he runs into Kaldur, who looks concerned and confused. He was coming from the direction of the bathrooms, he must not have been in the room when they decided to try and take a peek.
âWhatâs going on?â Kaldur asks, moving to place a hand on Dickâs shoulder.
Dick flinches away, feeling bad when Kaldur looks sad.
âIâm going home,â Dick tells him, his voice cracking again. âWallyâs wrist is broken.â
âRobin? What happened? Are you alright?â Kaldur tries to ask, but Dick is shaking his head.
âThey tried to take off my mask,â Dick whispers, but heâs putting in the code for the Batcave and leaving before Kaldur can say anything else.
Bruce is still hunched in front of the Batcomputer when Dick gets back, and heâs surprised to see him so soon. But he opens his arms when Dick rushes towards him, and he holds him tight and calms him down when he realizes how upset Dick is.
When he finds out that they tried to take off Dickâs mask while he was asleep? Heâs livid.
He doesnât let Robin join the team again for months. Which is fine by Dick, because he doesnât want to work with them anyway. He misses Kaldur, but Robin and Aqualad find ways to hang out away from Mount Justice, away from the others. Aqualad relays to Robin how poorly the team performs when Robin isnât there to pick up the slack, how their lack of experience is becoming quite evident when their mission success rate plummets without Robin.
What happens next? Idk. Maybe Dick starts his own team with Donna, Garth, and Roy. Idk.

DpxDc Being a Green Lanternâs ghost is quite different from being one in life.
When a Green Lantern falls, their ring leaves the body. Some souls find paradise, but others remain obsessively bound to their Green Lantern duty, even in death.
The Infinite Realms are bast, so much so that it's rare to encounter a Green Lantern. Thus, they arrive too late to witness Phantomâs battle with the Tyrant King, only catching the moment he is sent to his final rest.
Some of the Green Lanterns still remember the reign of Pariah Dark. Unable to confront him directly, they turned their duty toward relocating ghosts, hiding those the Tyrant King wished to erase.
But being a Green Lanternâs ghost is quite different from being one in life. They can feel the new kingâs core, a primordial need for protection and space. It feels like home.
There is no Oa, but there is King Phantom. And if he asks, they will serve.
Until the living world wounds the king in his human form. There is no way to kill him before his time, but he can⊠had been hurt. And as he sleeps, the realms scream for war.
Earth is under siege. The skeleton army forms a ring around the planet, awaiting the ancients command. Who, out of kindness for the kingâs love of Earth, gives mortals a warning: destroy the GIW, or perish.
Itâs chaos. The ancients does not appear in their usual form. They are titans to those who look up to the sky.
The Green Lanterns donât stay to see more. They fly to Oa, because the ancients power of destruction will not stop with Earth.

Fic prompt #30
Dpxdc
The Fentons hate ghostsâthey are 100% convinced that they are incapable of any human emotion or empathy. But as scientists, they are also aware that any research can be proven wrong. While they would defend their work with their lives, they can still be persuadedâthough it takes a lot of convincing.
In the beginning, they hunted Phantom with all their might, truly believing that he was colluding with the ghosts he captured in order to deceive them. Still, over time, they began to realize that some incidents were practically impossible to fabricateâespecially if their own theories about ghosts lacking emotional intelligence were taken into account.
In the end, while they still werenât convinced Phantom was good, they had to admit he was doing an impressive job protecting Amity Parkâparticularly when one considered the drastic drop in human crime since his appearance. They had no choice but to acknowledge his usefulness, especially after studying the state of other cities plagued by supervillains and superheroes.
Eventually, they even wrote and published a thesis arguing that Superman, Batman, the Flash, and even Wonder Woman couldnât compare to Phantom. Ironically, while trying to study him, they ended up becoming his biggest fans.
Danny doesnât quite know how to feel about thisâespecially since his parents donât even seem to realize it themselves.
