Senior Precision Rotary Microtome

This microtome has special application for cutting thin sections of histopathological specimens and also caters to the demands of industries such as Plastic, Leather, Textiles, Rubber & Fertilizer.

It is ideal for those who want to avail advantages of a Rotary Microtome at a moderate cost.

The entire mechanism stands on a heavy cast iron base ensuring stability and rigidity.

Its compound slideways of critical tolerances guide the specimen block.

The metal hinged cover housing protects the internal mechanism against dust and paraffin waste, it can be conveniently opened for resetting, cleaning and lubricating.

The Microtome is driven by a handle which can also be locked.

Cutting sections are obtained in different thickness by mechanically operated crank through a knurled knob in front of the instrument.

The knurled knob is graduated in microns for feed setting and ready reference.

A detent click action ensures positive adjustments in one micron increment.

The knife holder unit is equipped with a rotating knife clamp to adjust desired angles for best sectioning.

It has forward and backward movements to ensure contact of the specimen with the knife and lateral movement to get maximum use of knife-edge.

Smooth & accurate specimen movement is achieved with the time has proven operating principles of the feed mechanism.

Travel is entirely independent of the vertical movement of the specimen block.

When the feed limit reaches to an endpoint, it disengages itself.

To bring the feed screw back, the vice is pressed slightly and the main gear wheel is turned clockwise until the screw reaches its starting position.

All parts are fabricated from selected alloys and the Microtome knife is manufactured from fine grain steel tested to maintain optimum sharpness strength

ROTAP SIEVE SHAKER

This can accommodate  upto 7 sieves of 6" to 8" Dia. Mainly used for grinding of material which are not gummy of fibrous. The adjustable Post can hold 75 to 135 mm Dia mortar. Fitted with 1/4 HP motor single phase 220 volts 50 HZ.

Serological Water Bath

(DDR INTERNATIONAL)

Double wall construction, inner being made out of highly polished thick stainless steel and outer made out of thick mild steel sheet finished in stoving white enamel paint or staple mat colour combinations. The gap is filled with special glass wool for temp. insulation. The bath is provided with the drain cock to easily drain out the water and clean the chamber when required. A pyramidal shaped cover is provided. Immersion type heating elements are fitted at bottom. Temp. range  5o C above ambient to 80o C with accuracy + 0.5oC to 1oC is controlled by capillary thermostat regulated by a graduated knob on the panel, which is also provided with pilot lamp etc. The equipment is workable on 220V AC 50Hz single phase.  The baths are supplied without racks, thermometer and stirring arrangement.

Pelton Wheel Turbine Test Setup

Pelton Wheel Turbine is only impulse water turbine now in common use named in honor of Sir L.A. Pelton (1829-1908) of California, USA. It is a tangential flow impulse turbine. The water strikes the buckets along the tangent of the runner. The energy available at the Inlet of the Turbine is only kinetic energy. The Pressure at the Inlet and Outlet of the atmospheric. This turbine is used for high heads. The Present Set-up consists of a runner. The buckets are mounted on the runner. The water is fed to the turbine, through SS nozzle with a SS spear, by means of Centrifugal Pump, tangentially to the runner. Row of water into turbine is regulated by adjusting the spear position by the help of a given hand wheel the runner is directly mounted on one end of a central SS shaft and other end is connected to a brake arrangement. The circular window of the turbine casing is providing with a transparent acrylic sheet for observation of flow on to the buckets. This runner assembly is supported by rigid MS structure. Load is applied to the turbine with the help of this brake dynamometer so that the efficiency of the turbine can be calculated. Pressure Gauge is fitted at the Inlet of the turbine to measure the total supply head to the turbine.
