"Noel, do you miss Taekwondo?" Taekwondo and the reason why I stop.

Taekwondo was my life back then when I was 13 years old. Every step, every block, felt like unlocking a new power within me. The dojang, with its polished wood and smell of sweat and determination, was my sanctuary. I was fast, I was fierce, and I was utterly fearless.

Then, it happened. The accident. A blur of pain, flashing lights, and the crushing weight of disappointment as the doctor's words echoed in my ears: "You can't train anymore."

It was like someone ripped out a piece of my soul. My confidence, my passion, everything felt bruised and broken. I traded in my dobok for sweatpants, the dojo's cheers for the deafening silence of my own doubt.

I don't know what the future holds. Maybe my kicks will never be as high, my blocks never as sharp. But today, I choose to start the journey. I become who I am now.

CHILDHOOD EDITION WITH STORY!

That day was the BEST day EVER for Five Years Old Noel!

I woke up with sunshine tickling my nose and a giggle in my tummy. Mommy said we were going on an adventure, and guess what? It was to Grandma's house! As soon as we pulled up, I raced out of the car like a rocket. Grandma was waiting on the porch, her arms wide open like a big, huggy hug, she gave me the best, squooshy hug!

Then, the magic happened! Grandma led me into the living room, and there, sitting under the rainbow blanket on the couch, was a GIANT box with my name on it. And I can see the giant red car there! So cool!

We spent the whole day playing hide-and-seek with the kittens, building a tower of fluffy pancakes, and reading silly stories about talking squirrels. Grandma even let me help her bake cookies, and I got to lick the bowl clean! My tummy was full of laughter and sugar, and my heart was full of sunshine.
