𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘈𝘊𝘌!

𝘛𝘞𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘠: 𝘚𝘏𝘖𝘜𝘓𝘋 𝘞𝘌 𝘎𝘌𝘛 𝘛𝘖 𝘒𝘕𝘖𝘞 𝘌𝘈𝘊𝘏 𝘖𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘙 𝘉𝘌𝘛𝘛𝘌𝘙?

The atmosphere is lively. People are dancing, socializing, laughing. While Y/n is behind the stage sweating her balls off.

I feel like i’m gonna throw up.

Her costume is on and her pointe shoes feel just right for her, her CD is already turned in so nothing could possibly go wrong from here.

Well unless my CD skips or I fuck up one of my turns or I forget some of the routine or-

“Y/n!”

“Hi!” he says… and that’s all he says.

“Hi?“ The ballerina responded, did he need something? He’s kinda just standing there, fidgeting with his rings.

“Um.. I just uh… wanted to come with you luck! I know preparing for the recital has really taken a toll on you and all and i’ve realized that sometimes you can kind of get stuck in your own head so i just wanted to let you know that everything will go just fine! And even if something does happen, i know that you’re professional and mature enough to overcome it and at the end of the day, your performance will be amazing!”

It’s silent as the pair just stands there, the girl is staring in shock while the boy is staring in anticipation.

“I’m sorry… was that too much? Now that i think about what i said it was kind of pressuring. I’m sorry! That wasn’t my intention at all it’s just-“

“Intak..”

“Yes?”

She smiles, “Thank you.”

All tension leaves Intaks body at those two words, and he also starts to feel a smile creep it’s way on his face.

“No, yea, of course, it’s nothing” He laughs it off, the ballerina laughing with him.

She opens her mouth in a wish to keep the conversation going but instead is cut short as she hears her name being called, she is next to go on stage.

“Oh um, well thank you! For your oh-so encouraging words.” She grins.

Intak let’s a giggle slip past his lips at the sight of her, “Yes, of course! I can’t wait to see you out there.”

Y/n turns to walk off, and throws the smiling boy one last look before throwing up her hand in a wave and gracefully walking towards the wing of the stage.

Intak, in pure bliss, jumps and squeals before being shushed in respect of his crush’s performance.

It’s after the recital and all performers are buzzing with electricity, there were no mistakes, no bumps in the road, the event went perfectly and Y/n couldn’t ask for more.

Currently, she is with her friend group, joy is bouncing off the girls as they all talk about each other’s performances.

“-No shut up cause Chaeyeon looked so good i literally had to refrain from jumping the stage-“

“Um now hold on cause Chaer and Yeji had me pissing my fucking tutu. Y’all had no right looking that good.”

The group bust out in laughter but Yeji then speaks up to say, “In my opinion, Winter and Hiyyih had the best vocal performances of the night. Winter highnote literally made-“

“Oh your talking about when she screeched into the microphone?” Yeji is interrupted by Keeho, the rest of his friend group following after him.

Winter scowls, “I should smack you.” is all she says before turning her back to him.

Chaeryeong, being the sweetheart she is decided to make an offer, “Oh! Since you guys are here, and Keeho and Winter are obviously besties-“ A smack from Winter interrupts her, “Why don’t we go out for dinner together? It will be so much fun!”

Surprisingly, after a little bit of coaxing, the two friend groups agreed. And soon enough, they’re making their way to the closest sushi buffet.

While walking, Y/n decides to slow down enough to walk at the same pace as Bahiyyih. She holds her hand wordlessly and gives her a soft smile.

Bahiyyih, all while looking relieved and content, asks her, “We’re ok?”

Y/n, im turn, softly says, “We’re ok.” And the two girls nuzzle against each other, feeling safe with one another.

The peace however, is interrupted when Intak taps on Y/n’s shoulder, “Do you mind if i borrow her for a moment?”

Bahiyyih practically glows, and tears her hand away from yours, “Of course!” She beams before running to catch up with the rest of the group.

There’s silence before Intak speaks up with a timid, “So..”

You grin at him, “So..?

Intak, resumes the habit of fiddling with his fingers as he asks you, “Have you thought about it?”

“Have I?”

“Well, I don’t know that why i’m asking-“

You laugh abruptly, bumping your shoulder with his as you lose your footing. He laughs along with you.

After a moment of thinking, you decide to simply ask him, “Should we get to know each other better?

Intak sighs nervously, shifting back and forth on his feet and his nails picking at the CD casing.

He’s currently standing outside of Y/n’s dormitory, eyes darting from the green scenery to the entrance, anticipating the ballerina’s arrival.

omg i’m actually going to cry if this goes wrong. i’m going to lock myself in my room, block everyone i know, and-

“What are you doing here?”

my GOD.

“Uh…your CD…” He sees her face start to scrunch up in annoyance.

“Uh…your CD…” He sees her face start to scrunch up in annoyance.

“Your CD!” He randomly shouts, thrusting the CD case towards the pretty girl. She looks down at it confused.

“My CD…?” Intak nods, “Yea i uh… Here’s another one since i uh.. fucked up your old one.” He says with a grimace.

She just hums, keeping her eyes on him. Intak begins to stammer thinking that his explanation wasn’t enough.

“And im extremely sorry by the way. It didn’t go how it was supposed to go and this was all just a big mistake. I promise you that as a fellow dancer, i would never fuck up someone’s CD over something so petty-“

“And how exactly did you expect it to go?” She questioned. Seeing Intak like this made this situation much more amusing in her eyes. Knowing that Intak probably has a million thoughts running through his head right now. His eyes even looking frantic.

“Well you see, basically um…” “Um..?”

“Ok so- this was all planned! Alright?” “…Planned?”

“Yea! Basically one of your friends found out that I have a crush on you and so they were trying to-“

“Aye aye aye hold on, you have a crush on me?”

“Um…yes.” “Oh.”

“Anyways! So yea your friend was like- trying to help me get your attention by like, doing these ‘helpful pranks’ but then-“

“So that was you!” “Huh?” “You’re the one that was doing the ‘pranks’.”

“Oh yea, at first they weren’t meant to be helpful but then with the help of your friend, they became even more helpful. With intention of course.”

“Ok, which friend?” “Shut up and let me finish”

“Okay, sorry.”

“So um, yea. And then basically your friend had this terrible plan to have me scratch up your CD so you can be all devastated and then i can be your knight in shining amor and give you the CD copy that Hiyyih had prepared-“

“Hiyyih?” “What?” “This was Hiyyih’s plan?”

Silence.

“Yes…” Intak slurs, not knowing if he should tell the truth yet.

“Ok.” “Ok?” “Yea, keep going.”

“Okay um.. so the plan obviously went to shit or else this conversation wouldn’t be happening right now.”

Y/n stares at him with a blank face. And Intak just stands there not knowing what to do at the moment.

“Can you say something…please?” Intak peeps.

“Yea sorry, it’s just… a lot to unpack.” “Yea i get it.”

“Um… to be honest all i can really say is thank you? For the extra CD i mean. I can’t really give you a response for anything else right now because i need time to think over it, is that ok?”

“Yes of course! Take all the time you need. To be honest, i’m not really expecting an answer from you. I only told you because i feel like you deserved to know…”

“Well thanks… um, i’ll guess i’ll see you tomorrow? At the recital?”

“Yea yea! Of course! I wish you luck!”

“Good luck to you as well.”

Y/n goes in for a handshake while Intak mistakes it for a hug, creating and even more awkward atmosphere.

“Oh uh-“ “I’m sorry-“

Intak then switches to do a handshake while Y/n goes in for a hug.

“Oh my god-“ “We can just-“

After a little bit more of awkward fumbling, the pair settles on a fist bump. Intak then turns to walk away after giving the ballerina her CD.

Y/n stands there in silence, starstruck.

That really just happened…

The girl sighs, turning around to go back into her dormitory and preparing her mind for the much needed talk with her best friend that caused this mess.

“Hello everyone!” says Y/N in a cheerful tone, as she walks towards the table in the cafeteria the friend group usually sits. She sits down and begins to unwrap her breakfast sandwich and she realizes someone is missing.

“Where’s Hiyyih?”

Minyeong perks up from her fruit salad and says, “Oh she said she forgot something in her room so she ran back to go get it quick.” Y/n nods in acknowledgment and goes in to take a bite of her long put-off breakfast.

But a vibration from her phone interrupted her, putting her sandwich down and reaching into her pocket to see who texted her.

Mother: What are you doing right now?

Mother: No, you need to be in that dance room as much as physically possible. Eat some fruit later, it will do good for your body anyways.

The ballerina groans and she begins to wrap up her sandwich, not even having a taste.

“You’re leaving already?” Chaeryeong asks, looking as concerned she could be with oatmeal stuffed in her cheeks.

Y/n gives her a small smile, “Yea, my mom wants me in the dance room, but i’ll see you guys during my break!”

The first born Chae looks up, “But you didn’t even eat yet, when is the last time you had a full meal?”

Y/n sighs, “Yea i know, i know. I’ll eat pork belly with you guys when I'm done!” she says in a rush, beginning to back her belongings.

“She went to the dance room early today, her mom was on her ass about it.” Yeji answers.

Bahiyyih let’s out a soft “oh” just stands there and lets the information soak in. Until she realized how fucked she is and begins to freak out.

Leaving no time for an explanation to the girls, she runs out the cafeteria to chase after Y/n, hopefully to catch her.

“What was that about?” “I don’t want to know.”

Entering the dance building, Y/n makes her way up the stairs to her beloved dance room 204. Humming a quiet tune of her performance music and already going through the choreography in her head.

Although her humming stops abruptly when she sees the dance room already open.

Did someone get there before me?

Out of curiosity, she walks towards the open door to see what it may be open for but once she peeked inside, she wished she got out of bed this morning.

“..Intak?”

The said boy flinches and turns around slowly. Knowing he recognizes that voice. The voice he loved to hear speaking softly to him a year ago, and the voice he’s desperate to hear speaking softly to him now.

But he realizes he’s caught red handed. Both CD and needle in his hand, the CD scratched up and beyond repair.

“Intak, what the fuck are you doing?”

“O-Oh uh…” “Is that my CD?”

“Well- I just-“ “Intak, what the fuck?”

“Wait just-“ “You just scratched up my CD for the fucking recital and it’s literally tomorrow!”

“I know i just-“ “You fucking know?! Would you actually stoop that low? I’ve literally never done anything to you but you just have to take it to the next level, huh?”

“Y/n please-“ “No, Intak shut the fuck up. I literally can’t stand you. Do you think this is fucking funny? You think this is a joke? This is my life your fucking around with and I literally can’t do this, I-“

Y/n can’t go on, her tears clogging up her vision and her throat closing up, preventing her from talking any further.

Intak finally moves from his position, and goes to try to place a hand on Y/n’s shoulder only to get smacked away.

“Y/n…”

“What the actual fuck is wrong with you?” She says through her sobs.

Intak shudders at the utter look of heartbreak on Y/n’s face. She takes a shaking breath and says “Please just leave me alone..please.”

Intak left the dance room, shoulders hunched and mouth gaping. Tears fill his eyes, feeling at a loss, not knowing what to do from here.

As he walks down the stairs, he runs into a certain someone who caused of all of this.

“Oh my god, Intak! Y/n didn’t come in here right-“

“Bahiyyih.”

The singer stops. “Oh…” she sighs, realizing she was far too late.

Intak, in a state of fury, says, “Don’t contact me again. This is all your fault! How the hell do you fuck up your own plan? I put my trust in you!”

The younger girl whimpers, “I’m sorry..” she mutters while looking down, not having the courage to look at the boy in his eyes, knowing that she was the cause of his tears.

Intak scoffs and goes to walk past her, wiping at his eyes. Bahiyyih stands on the staircase, tears building up in her eyes as she hears the sniffles of a heartbroken Intak and the wails of devastated Y/n.
