My confession is that although i fully expect Edwin to explore his sexuality he wouldn't have a Slut Era as many people say. This would be entirely opposite of Edwin's character and and is a major mischaracterization.

Edwin would be incredibly careful in how he went about it, definitely starting with detailed research into homosexuality over the ages. Only after he was completely confident about himself would he try dating. He wouldn't go clubbing or have one night stands he would probably go for a nice walk around the park with a date and Charles secretly watching from behind a newspaper.

Fatal Flaw:

Edwin has little to no social skills, so he has trouble directly communicating with others. He is also an Insufferable Genius who doesn't always take well to being in the wrong.

Charles helps anyone who needs it, except himself. Because he is unable to deal with his traumas regarding his abusive childhood, he ends up hurting himself more in the process.

Crystal is Too Dumb to Live due to her poor and immature sense of decision-making that puts herself or her friends in danger, needing outside help to deal with the consequences.

Niko is so kindhearted that she can't stand up to those who hurt her, putting up with the Dandelion Sprites constantly belittling her. Plus, her meddling in other people's romantic lives doesn't always end well.

Are these right? I know people have been discussing characters recently and I'm curious.

I think that we as a fandom do devastatingly poor job because I don’t see any dark!payneland content. what is more, we should not only let our boys be evil but also develop their absolutely unhinged codependency and possessiveness to the maximum. I mean Charles canonically beat a person and then fed them to the giant sea monster for Edwin, just imagine the potential. we all understand that it is unhealthy and blah blah blah but what about all the fun? please, dark!payneland is a must and it’s not me who makes the rules
