HOLY PEAK this is so awesome and epic

bit of a different art post than what I've been doing recently. but I happened to see @deaddratts virus Spamton design unmasked a few hours ago (for the AU here), and had to do a coloured bit of fanart when I got the time

weirdly, I think the look of the eye amidst the void of a face he has is what captured my interest most (the ringed pink and yellow is simple but oh so neat to me for a reason I can't really describe??? don't mean this in a weird way at all). though the concept behind how he turned out like this is interesting; a different take, but one that's cool regardless. the glitchy pixels around his face were the hardest to get right though, but I found a way to do it </3

some of my virus au Slop... lore n stuff under the cut!!!!

i got the idea for this with my fic based on folie a deux by fall out boy. Tenna's a mostly retired TV host, still does a couple show, but mostly airs reruns. he spends most of his time backstage, and after Asriel went off to college, Kris mostly used him for video games.

of course, Spamton comes in, and with the help of his benefactor, lands an ad segment and role in one of the game shows. he uses his ad segment to sell vehicles and appliances, most of which do well. to me, he's genuinely passionate about what he does and wants to help people through his products.

while working with Tenna, of course, he starts to catch feelings, but they're not entirely reciprocated. Tenna decides to take advantage of Spamton's desire to get closer as a chance to illegally alter their contract and try to get information out of him on his secret to being a big shot.

eventually, Spamton's had enough of their constant fighting and being strung along, so he calls his benefactor and leaves. but slowly, he gets turned into a virus, which means he can't do what he once loved without hurting people. later down the line, he gives up being cautious and his virus spreads to a decent bit of citizens in the dumps of cyber world.

meanwhile! Tenna has put up missing posters everywhere he can and really just wants his little mailman back....

Edit: ok to give context to this adaptation. Spamton gets caught using makeup, which he's very embarrassed to reveal. Tenna is tenna like always, poor with words
