Mm... Perhaps.
I was never one to gaze up at the void of stars at night and feel a sense of crushing dread or anxiety at the vastness beyond our atmosphere, but what I'm feeling right now probably resembles it quite closely.

I'll need to pay a visit to Falmouth this afternoon. I'm running dangerously low on blackberry jam...

Don't be so sure. On a list of things humanity can survive under the conditions of, I would say that ice hell ranks in the top five.

Say “Human Extinction” 3x times in a mirror to summon me.

Observation tells me you have an excellent, if dangerous, power source on hand. Why not utilize this "sky glass" to build larger greenhouses, establish a system of individuals to maintain them in other areas and open trade routes for the food you grow?
You're an engineer as well, yes? Creating artificial sunlight isn't difficult. I've done it myself. Salvage supplies from wreckage. Humanity thrived during its first Ice Age, there's no reason it cannot do so again.

Are you incapable of establishing greenhouses? Was there no Ice Age on your planet? Humans have an alarming ability to survive and adapt. If anyone is to blame for your extinction at this point it will be yourselves, not the weather.
That being said, if you can build greenhouses, I would not mind sending you seed packages.

I see... As far as I'm aware, I would still be Death, yes. Presumably the only real difference is that no one here would die over the duration of my absence and the logic follows that the death toll where you are, were I do visit, would rise exponentially.
