yes robert parrish deserves to reside in the 7th circle of hell but at least he's not homophobic? in my opinion, anyways. it's a small win but i'm going to be optimistic here. in the epilogue he clearly says adam's driving his "boyfriend's beemer" and it's just a fact, not sarcasm, not a snide remark. it's the truth. that's how i read it. i know some people do think it's said to be homophobic, but for me, it's just something he acknowledges, like that adam's graduated.

and given their relationship, adam's never introduced any of his girlfriends to his parents, thus his parents probably think he's gay and they're okay with that. both his parents are shit and deserve the fucking worst, but at least they're accepting of adam being gay (not knowing he's bi) and you know what? i'll take that. adam's boyfriend being the same boy that kicked robert parrish's ass and got adam to go to court to save him? that's just the cherry on top, your honour.
