âLeather jacket fetishist,â Bucky repeated, her voice leavened by amusement. âIâm sure youâve encountered âem â they see a woman dressed for the job and they just canât tear their eyes away. If I was wearinâ high-heeled boots heâd probably be droolinâ into his coffee.â
yelenaâs lip curls, and she casts the man another look-- this one considerably more disapproving. â and they wonder why less and less women like men. â she hums, bringing her coffee up to her lips. â you do look good in a leather jacket, though. i suppose it is understandable. â

@bokketoâ asked:Â James looks at Yelena for a long moment, barely blinking, and then huffs. âYou slap harder than some of the punches Iâve taken. Iâm not sure whether to be impressed or worried.â
yelenaâs lips tilt upwards into a small smirk as he speaks, and her gaze flicks back up to meet his levelly as she cocks her head. â it is okay to be both. â she comments, eyes lingering on his reddened cheek for a brief moment. â but now you know. â

âDonât call me Clinton,â he replies instantly. Itâs almost reflexive at this point, but he does hate his full name almost as much as he hates the people who gave it to them, and hate isnât something that comes naturally to him. âWeâre dropping in from the fifth floor of the night court, knocking out any guards on the way, not killing anyone, and then kidnapping the person being prosecuted because if they go behind bars, weâll never get the information we need to take down The Horseshoe Crab, which is still the stupidest name for a villain ever. Nat will have an extraction team waiting waiting for us, because I sure as hell am not torturing this guy. Please try not to murder him?â
â noted. â she says lazily, eyes flicking back toward clint before she quirks a brow when he pointedly mentions not killing anyone. these avengers, always so inefficient. â very well. â yelena straightens with a lazy stretch of her spine, snorting softly at the name of the villain in question. â it truly is. perhaps one of the worst i have come across. â yelena looks back toward clint then, brows arched. â i am able to take care of the torturing if required. you may turn off your hearing aids if it is displeasing to you. â she shrugs, then sets her hands on her hips. â sounds like everything is covered, then. when are we to set off? â

âI see him,â Bucky said, not looking over at the staring man. âWhaddaya think? Secret agent? Autograph seeker? Leather jacket fetishist? My betâs the latter.â
her lips tilt upward, and yelena tilts her head just a little as she eyes him. â unclear. no obvious concealed weapons, but heâs not subtle enough to be good at this. not a professional. â

Itâs not that Natasha is opposed to killing people. These days, sheâs only more selective about who she takes out, rather than following any sort of moral norms. And as far as this trio of pursuers is concerned, she actually does need them to keep following her for a little longer until she can turn the tables on them. She doesnât care about them, of course, but their boss has been a thorn in her side. âYouâre a spoiled brat,â she laughs, but takes another sip of the coffee appreciatively before returning it. âYour time playing socialite has refined your palate too much, darling.â
â i donât recall you complaining whenever youâve had the pleasure of being hosted by me, dorogaya. â she lifts a brow pointedly, before she reaches from her coffee so that she can take a sip. natasha may tease her all she likes-- yelena isnât interested in suffering through any more american coffee. â so, â she begins, lowering her voice once again as she settles closer in her chair, leaning more toward natasha. â what is your next move? â yelena will, of course, assist natasha in dealing with this lovely issue sheâs got going on. but best ask how nat would like to go about it before just taking matters into her own hands.

yelena brings a hand up to cover her face, taking a moment to breathe lest she say something unkind. natasha has given her enough lectures on her attitude lately. â clinton. you are making absolutely no sense and it is beginning to irritate me. â she drops her hand, turning properly to him. â where are we getting in, and how many people do you need me to take out? â

âMore than sufficient,â she answers before grinning. âIâm as well as can be expected with three people attempting to tail me day and night. Theyâre such a nuisance.â Natâs voice drops. âCanât even just kill them and be done with it, moreâs the pity.â Her hand sneaks out and grabs Yelenaâs coffee cup, taking a sip and resuming her usual speaking volume. âThis is nice. You donât know the city but you know its coffee?â
â mm, theyâre certainly persistent. â she concedes, but she doesnât sound too troubled. she trusts that natasha has given them the slip once again. they wonât be eavesdropped on. â if you change your mind on that, do feel free to let me know. â yelena has considerably less qualms about killing people to get them out of the way. no hero blood in her. she watches as natasha sips from her coffee, before she hums, huffing a soft laugh. â of course. i did some research when you said you wanted to meet. i have no interest in sipping bad coffee, even for you, natalia. â

Meeting in public isnât their usual m.o., but in a city without a safehouse where Natasha knows that there are eyes on her hotel, this is the best option. Yelenaâs managed to get a table towards the back where they can sit facing the rest of the cafĂ©, and Nat slides in next to her. âI should have made you wait longer, Yelena,â she teases before putting an arm on the other womanâs arm. âI trust youâre well?â
â oh? i will remember that comment. â she drawls lazily, but thereâs another smile on her lips when she feels nat make contact. â i am. this place has excellent coffee. â they donât often meet in public, but sheâd chosen this place for its authentic coffee. none of the fake tasting crap so common in the states. â you look well. â she comments after a moment, her eyes flicking back to the redhead as she leans toward her a touch. â this is quiet enough, hm? i do not know the city well. â

yelena smiles behind her coffee cup as she watches natasha approach her table, her gaze drifting across the redhead. she looks wonderful, as always. â mm, finally. i have been waiting thirty minutes, natalia. â

âI mean itâs not a no.â He started, tilting his head to the side. âBut am I going to be committing treason if I do it?â Not that he thought she would be asking him to do something like that, but these days he figured it was best to find out up front.Â
â not treason, no. â yelena tuts lightly, lifting a brow at the man. she has no need to commit treason. at least, not this week. â it is not treason. i just need access to some information i cannot get anywhere else. â

âit was not worth it.â gaja told her, entering the hotel room. she was careful not to touch anything she didnât have to so as not to get anything dirty. âthank you, yelena.â she had wiped off the palms of her hands to the best of her ability and now she could finally get everything off of her.Â
â not a problem. â she assures her, finding out a trash bag for the dirty clothes to go into, which she passes into the bathroom. that done, she steps through her room to the closet so that she can find out something for gaja to wear, settling on a pair of comfortable jeans and a tank top. she sets them just inside of the bathroom door, and then relaxes on the couch, turning on the tv.
