Midoriya’s love for heroes was always obvious, and could be seen as excessive to some. Nonetheless, he always loved them, and loved showing his support. More than anything, he dearly enjoyed dressing up as his idols, since he was little.

When, at eight years old, he discovered the existence of the Erasure hero: Eraserhead, and a few month later got tickets for a hero convention, his hobby became centered around the underground hero. Throughout the years, dressing up became cosplaying, and Midoriya even decided to share his journey on social medias.

How had things gotten to this point? How could things have gone so catastrophically wrong that it resulted in them all being here in this room right now, desperately waiting for any news on their friend’s condition?

They had barely gotten him back, only for him to be whisked away again and out of their sight. The doors that the doctors tending to him had disappeared behind stood hauntingly still, relentlessly mocking them. No one had come through in hours now. The only reason none of them had stormed through and taken over the operating room where their friend was (yet), was because Recovery Girl had disappeared with them, promising to keep a watchful eye on him (and the doctors).

Everyone tensed as the doors creaked loudly in the deadly silent waiting room. A doctor with snake-like eyes stepped through, her face seemingly void of emotion except for the hint of weariness shadowing her face for the briefest of moments. The second her yellow and black eyes met everyone else’s, she schooled her features and stepped forwards.
