formerly in remembrance square, This blog is dedicated to honoring and naming the dead, or the nameless masses of dead from violence, genocide, and plague. I update this blog as I happen across the names of the dead--for the most part the wrongly dead. People who have been murdered or died by suicide or lost due to covid19 and the rampant incompetence and malevolence of the government. I also have people who simply died. I wanted a place to acknowledge the dead, but there's much to think about in terms of violence and the government. I have not committed to honoring one type of dead over the other which is perhaps a bad choice. So far, its random--based on whatever I happen to see. I'm planning on thinking more on this.  But for now is the idea of we're all equal in death and yet some of us get treated better in death than others. And so if I just post at random or if I include just everyone will I be contributing to that skewed importance? I don't know. I made this place on impulse and I have a lot more thinking to do.

The Minneapolis police are back to publicly being terrorists now that George Floyd’s death is out of the media cycle.
Tumblr media
Directly from the article:
Bayle Adod Gelle was deep in sleep late Wednesday night at his home in Eden Prairie when he heard loud banging on the door.
The intensity of the sound at 2:15 a.m. left Bayle confused. He trudged down the stairs from his second-floor bedroom. As soon as he reached the living room, he found his wife there—surrounded by more than a dozen officers from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. The officers allegedly pointed their guns at him and his wife, Bayle said, and then tied their hands tightly with a cord.
Awakened by the bangs and commotion, three children—ages 4, 7, and 9— joined their parents in the living room. Officers allegedly pointed guns at them, too, Bayle said.
“I felt very scared,” Bayle said in an interview with Sahan Journal at his home Thursday evening, some 14 hours after the police raid. “I thought they were going to kill us.”
The police search felt like it took forever—maybe two hours, he said. Bayle kept asking the officers who they were and why they’d come to his house. (In the end, the police appear to have found nothing, and took no evidence with them, Bayle said.)
They told him “shut up,” he recalled.
Bayle said the officers ransacked the house and never showed him a search warrant— until the end. That’s when they told him his son had been killed.
Bayle said that until that moment, he had no idea that nearly 8 hours earlier Minneapolis Police officers had fatally shot his 23-year-old son, Dolal Bayle Idd, in an altercation at a Holiday gas station in south Minneapolis. It was the first police killing in Minneapolis since Officer Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd about a dozen blocks away.
Here’s the full article
they had to move out of their house on new year’s eve to a nearby mosque.
please share, I haven’t seen anyone talking about this

Things I’ve seen in Covid19 as an ICU nurse:
- a husband and wife admitted to icu, positive for covid after sending their two teenagers back to school when it opened. She coded and died yesterday. We wheeled her body into his room so he could say goodbye to his high school sweetheart from his hospital bed. We dont expect him to survive.
- 94 year old man, married to his wife for 64 years, both tested positive after a single visit to their dentist. It was the only “outing” they had since March. Because there are so few beds available, they were sent to separate hospitals. She stroked and died shortly after. He watched her funeral on FaceTime and never got to say goodbye.
- a 25 year old who flew home from another state because his mom was afraid and asked him too. He tested positive 3 days after his flight. He died 20 days later in our ICU.
- a father/son duo who run a manufacturing company, tested positive along with the majority of their employees. They both came to our ICU. Dad died. Son was able to leave the hospital 30 days later - he learned of his father’s death after leaving, for fear of impacting his recovery.
- A schoolteacher, working for special needs children, tested positive 1 week after her school mandated they reopen. She died 10 days later. Her last words before we intubated her were, “Im going to be your next survivor!” We told her she was right, but we all knew it wouldn’t happen.
- a 45 year old woman with a 6 and 8 year old at home. After 65 days, she never woke up due to hypoxic brain injury. She never made it off a ventilator.
- tiered nursing models, where ICU patients are being cared for primarily by nurses without ICU experience while one ICU rn gets placed as a “supervising” nurse over 5 ICU patients, and monitors the regular nurses care over them. Your loved ones not getting the appropriate level of care deserved because we have no staff left to care for them.
- patients who should be in ICU unable to come to the ICU because there are no beds available. Left on the regular floor in hospital with no additional supervision or coverage because there’s not enough staff to do so.
- patients that have been sent from out of state because their home areas have no room to take them. When these patients are close to end of life, their families are hard pressed to arrive in time to say goodbye.
- a unit opened as a tiered-staffing ICU where there is no negative pressure in patient rooms and no way to install them per maintenance. Nurses are going to be required to wear PAPR during their entire shifts without taking them off while working in that unit. So 12 hours without drinking water or eating unless you can leave the unit. Which it being tiered staffing - its not safe for the ICU rn to leave because there will only be 2 ICU nurses on the unit.
We are a long ways from having herd immunity with the coming vaccines. Please wear your masks. Dont go where you dont absolutely have to go. Wash your hands. This is not the time to go on new dates, have family gatherings or big game nights or get together. Please. You have called the nursing profession “the most trustworthy” for decades - and now when we beg you to listen, to wear a simple mask and social distance, you call us liars and the trauma we see these patients go through every day a conspiracy. Please. We are breaking.

I’m sure everyone is sick of seeing political posts, this isn’t political, it’s a humanitarian crisis! And it’s not only happening “somewhere else” anymore!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Armenians are being attacked in the streets of my country!!Why is there not national outrage, or a movement rising up?? Where is anyone outside of the Armenian population screaming for equality? A genocide is literally taking place RIGHT NOW but you all would rather get upset and put your energy into candidates who are literally doing nothing of substance to help this situation while schools, hospitals and civilian homes are destroyed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 1915 no one cared about Armenia either, they watched as these same instigators marched women, children and elderly out into the desert with the sole intention of none of them making it back home, this is after murdering the men and those strong enough to fight back in front of their families. The term genocide was coined solely because of this tragedy! An entire culture almost wiped from the planet, and people still say we are overreacting!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don’t allow this to happen again, don’t be someone who sits back as an entire country and culture are facing the threat of a SECOND GENOCIDE!!!! Please, wake up, do something, spread the news, because it could be me or my family being targeted tomorrow.

The idea that Trump has been a relatively dove-ish non-interfering U.S President in such a way that a Democratic presidency will be actively worse for the rest of the world (instead of business as usual) doesn’t hold water…of course he stands on the shoulders of prolific war criminals like Obama but until someone does a comprehensive comparative please don’t give Republican propaganda credibility ajsgdjshjhk…BOTH parties are imperialist cesspools, we know this, anyway
Trump launched more airstrikes on Somalia in his term than in Obama’s two terms, he also bombed Yemen more than all previous presidencies combined and has made the region into “the largest humanitarian crisis in the world” (e.g. in an early attack just weeks after being sworn in his troops leveled the village of al-Ghayil and killed at least ten children under the age of 13, some with bullets to the neck)
Trump’s administration increased exports of major arms by 23%, selling billions of dollars of weapons to Saudi Arabia and abetting them in air raids of Houthi rebels and Yemeni civilians
He loosened rules of engagement for cyber attacks, giving greater reins to the CIA who got to carry out their attack wish list, including leaking the bank details of millions of Iranian citizens
Speaking of Iran of course Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal and literally killed their military commander Qassem Soleimani, an unprovoked and unimaginable act of aggression the likes of which I believe the U.S. has not done since WW2? It nearly brought Iran and U.S. to the brink of war
He announced new sanctions against Venezuela that has exacerbated famine conditions in the country where people have lost something like 11kg of body weight on avg.; new sanctions against Cuba too
He said that he’d withdraw all troops from Afghanistan but he hasn’t, he withdrew a few thousand from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria but then deployed a couple thousand more to the Persian Gulf after escalation with Iran (god forgive me for linking to the NYT here)
And of course he said that Chelsea Manning should never have been released from jail and continued the indefensible and inhumane prosecution of Julian Assange, who is not even a U.S. citizen; on the flip side, he has pardoned the kind of unspeakable war crimes these journalists are being punished for uncovering

a black man was found hung in huntington, new york today. police ruled the hanging a suicide before performing an autopsy, and media has been largely silenced. as of june 22 2020, this is the fourth hanging of a black person in a public place in the last week: the seventh in less than a month. all of these deaths have been ruled as suicide.
not all of the victims’ names have been released: we do know of Dominique Alexander, Robert Fuller, Malcolm Harsch, and Titi Gulley.  (x, x)
this should be considered a national crisis. we need to treat it as such.

26-year-old Jamarion Robinson’s grandmother Beverly Nixon said her grandson was bipolar and schizophrenic. Still got shot 76 (!!!) times. Would a white person get the same treatment?
The witness said he saw more than a dozen patrol cars at the complex where US Marshals killed Robinson on August 5, 2016. Why were there no behavioral specialist? Surely one of them would know how to interact with a bipolar schizophrenic better than the police.
I’m absolutely disgusted.
Here’s Jamarion’s mother’s GoFundMe in case anyone is willing to help.

Calls for Justice for Aurora’s Violinist Elijah McClain Grow
Elijah McClain was a kind and gentle 23 year old who worked as a massage therapist in Aurora, CO. On his lunch breaks from work, Elijah would go to the animal shelters and play violin for the animals because he thought that they were lonely in their cages and thought that the music would calm them.
In August 2019, Elijah went to the gas station to buy some iced tea for himself and his cousins. Because he suffered from anemia he would often wear a ski/ runner mask over his face to stay warm. On his way home, the Aurora Police department were called to reports of a “suspicious man.”
(Warning: for violent description) Elijah was apprehended by a group of three cops, despite committing NO crime and being unarmed. A struggle occurred, and he was held in a very dangerous carotid hold around his neck while he cried for help, cried out that he couldn’t breathe, cried out that he was nonviolent and couldn’t even kill a fly, and was repeatedly throwing up. Elijah weighed a mere 140 pounds. You can hear on the audio footage, an officer instructing another to move their body camera out of view.
While 3 Aurora Police Dept officers violently restrained him they called Aurora Fire Dept, who injected him with ketamine (a powerful drug used to tranquilize horses or in surgeries by a trained anesthesiologist and illegal to be administered by anyone else) even though he was already cuffed and calm.
He went into cardiac arrest , slipped into a coma, and his family was advised to take him off life support 6 days later.
The cops were transferred to another department but never received charges.
