He had expected it, in all honesty. The skepticism from other world leaders. The distrust, the ridicule. There were likely to be those who would hear T’Challa’s message to the world and react negatively, given how little they knew of Wakanda. Especially those who were far too used to ruling their people, rather than serving them. But what else could he do but act upon his own vow? Wakanda would be an example of how to better the world, regardless of how others would either look down upon them, or question their intentions.

“I can only hope that the world will not blind itself to the power of unity. Perhaps it is simply wishful thinking.. But I will not stray from the path we have set upon. That Wakanda has now set upon.“

His tone seemed more amused than anything. The king knew full well that she might have been aware of that fact, but that certainly wouldn’t stop the Dora Milaje general from breaking any additional limbs. me taking a deep breath: if i a black person approaches you about the way you’re rping black panther ; know that this isn’t about how long or whatever you’ve been playing this or how you’d read the comics. characters like black panther, ororo munroe ( storm ), luke cage, and other prominently black marvel ( and dc ) character  is a reflection of us, our oppression, and our growth. if you can’t take critique or black creators and people saying don’t touch our character, that’s anti black and thats fucking whack. remember you’re in our space, playing a character who we relate more than you ever will be able to. BE RESPECTFUL IF BLACK PEOPLE DON’T WANT YOU THERE. BE RESPECTFUL FOR US FINALLY BEING IN THE LIME LIGHT. BE RESPECTFUL OF WAKANDIANS, THEIR HERITAGE, AND THEIR SKIN COLOR.
