the emphasis that's been made on Isagi calling Kaiser and god and a superstar nicknames no one else uses for him. Kaneshiro boutta to have Isagi drop the craziest line on Ness something in the vein of "why would a god want to be worshiped like an emperor" I'm calling it

I've been writing this up while ignoring work meetings. The Kaisagi team up goes so much further than a soccer team up.

Rin has already decided he wants to destroy everything Isagi holds dear way back post U-20 when Sae complimented Isagi over him. As the NEL developed Rin struggled to find a way to crush Isagi. It is the KaiserxIsagi connection he sees as a way to break Isagi. To take away Isagi's "passion" what he holds dear.

Isagi is looking around the field trying to find Kaiser. He's fascinated by Kaiser. Obsessed with Kaiser. Wants to be Kaiser. He didn't want to lose their chemistry he doesn't want Rin to destroy it. And Isagi was willing to be the sacrifice being blocked out by Rin if it meant Kaiser could get ahead. Only to be further impressed when Kaiser stuck by their side to block and stop Rin in his tracks.

It is meaningful that this is the first time a player is what could be taken from Isagi. Generally, what rattles Isagi is his lack of physicality, his lack of vision, and his lack of confidence. Kaiser is increasing all of that in him. So unlike every other teammate Isagi has played with he sees a total chemistry shut down if Kaiser is blocked off from him.

I was unsure for a long time how a joint ego could benefit Isagi's goal his ego his drive. But I see it now. Kaiser is his person. Like Sae to Rin and Nagi and Reo. Kaiser makes soccer better to Isagi he found his ideal. What he wants to be. More than Noel Noa. And he has it in his hands that ideal that perfect damn superstar is standing right there on the field ready to pass to him and Rin is trying to get in the way. It's I personally think going to make their rivalry even stronger when Rin becomes Isagi's true problem.
