How I love this reunion, one of my favorite moments in the entire saga. Until that point Jin was actually willing to die along with Kazuya, he was willing to sacrifice himself for his mistakes, thinking that he neither deserved nor had the right to live.

But his mother arrives and radically changes Jin's way of thinking. He did a lot of damage with his war, that is undeniable but always complaining is not going to solve anything.

A small appreciation of Nina Williams and her inclusion in the main story of the Mishima since Tekken 6. Her story before becoming involved with the Mishima also seems interesting to me but my favorite assassin deserved to have her leading role for being one of the veteran characters of the saga. Although in Tekken 8 it didn't end up convincing me, but how can I hate such a magnificent woman?

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who noticed it but Jin and Devil Jin's relationship in Tekken 8 is very similar if not identical to Ichigo and zangetsu/hollow's relationship.

Bleach is one of my favorite animes and as soon as I saw the first trailer for Tekken 8 I got an idea of what the relationship between Jin and Devil Jin would be like, since it is the first time we see them interact with each. I know that the cliché of the protagonist carrying a monster or demon inside him is already widely used.

But Ichigo and Jin share some things in common that I would like to highlight.

• They both have a somewhat similar personality. Mostly serious most of the time.

• They both have in common the loss of their mother. Curious because in most Shonen, both parents are usually dead.

• They both deny his power at first, Ichigo does not want to be consumed by his internal Holow at the beginning of his story and the same goes for Jin who does not want to be consumed by Devil Jin.

However, it is not until later that they both finally accept their respective counterparts, and their relationship becomes closer. Jin stopped seeing DJ as a burden and a curse. The same goes for Ichigo. They both realized that both Devil and Zangetsu/hollow. They only wanted to protect their receptacles from all evil. Even going so far as to sacrifice their existence in order to achieve this purpose.

Finally, the most notable part. When Jin is defeated at the beginning of Tekken 8, he enters his subconscious where he meets Devil. Impossible not to notice the similarity, it is very similar to the world Ichigo goes to when he meets Zangetsu or his Hollow. Both have water as their main theme.

I saw some comments on social media talking about how the feud between Kazuya and Jin doesn't make much sense or a basis for why they fight, other than being Mishimas.

To a certain extent they are right, the relationship between these two is nothing like the relationship between Kazuya and Heihachi. Well, since Kazuya returned in Tekken 4 he only tried to obtain the latent power of the devilish gene in Jin's body, unfortunately he failed and only in Tekken 8 did they both meet face to face again.

I don't take it into account very much in Tekken 6 because as far as I'm concerned, they just sent their armies to fight. In the end when Kazuya goes to Azazel's temple to fight Jin, Kazuya is stopped by Lars and leaves. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But returning to the previous topic, this relationship is more of a fight of ideals. Kazuya represents everything that Jin hates, I think Jin sees himself in some way reflected in his father and that is why he wants to stop him and put an end to the devil gen. Jin sees that action as a way to make amends for the damage he caused with his war in Tekken 6. Kazuya on the other hand, doesn't care about Jin at all, he just sees him as another impediment in his plans.

How I would have liked to see more interactions from them in Tekken 7 or Tekken 8. Although their paths separated after the end of Tekken 6, they are both very similar in some ways.

They both lost someone dear to them, both are reserved enough to talk about their problems. Both have some feud with members of their own family. Let's keep in mind that Jin wasn't exactly very talkative with everyone, only he knew the objective of his plan in Tekken 6 (Excluding Zafina and third parties). When Jin seemingly dies, Nina meets with Lars and tells him that Jin sacrificed everything to defeat Azazel. That it's not her decision to judge Jin for what he did.

That makes me understand that she did empathize with him in some way. Which leads me to theorize that Jin at some point told Nina his true plans, about waking up and taking down Azazel.

In addition, it could be considered that working as Jin's bodyguard was one of the few jobs that Nina completed successfully in all the games in the saga. In the first and second Tekken she fails his assassination missions, in Tekken 4 she does the same for Steve, in Tekken 7 she abandons Heihachi and recently in Tekken 8 she does the same with Kazuya. But hey, at least we have Tekken 6, Blood Vengaence and the comics although the latter two are not canonical.
