FIGHTING CHRONIC ILLNESS
4 posts
I am a 47 yr old ex fitness instructor who has suffered from Fibromyalgia for 3yrs now. The illness has completely changed my life. I am disabled and need a wheelchair and walking sticks to get around and carers to help with the simplest task .I am hoping  to change my lifestyle with diet ,  nutrition and exercise to elevate  some of the symptoms and to help others do the same with fibro and similar illnesses. I will be trying different things and letting people know what helps  .My symptoms include depression migraines , anxiety , IBS ,  CFS and constant daily pain all over my body.Living in hope that something will help.

First Juice 4 carrots half a pineapple 2 oranges Made 500 ml , took me 15 mins to prepare Cost less than £1 Tastes lovely 😀
Carrots Most of the benefits of carrots can be attributed to their beta-carotene and fiber content. This root vegetable is also a good source of antioxidant agents. Furthermore, carrots are rich in vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, vitamin B8, pantothenic acid, folate, potassium, iron, copper, and manganese.
Pineapple Immune system support. ... Bone strength. ... Eye health. “Pineapples can help reduce the risk of macular degeneration, a disease that affects the eyes as people age, due in part to its high amount of vitamin C and the antioxidants it contains,” Flores said. Digestion. ... Anti-Inflammatory benefits.
Oranges One orange provides a range of vitamins and minerals; a staggering 130 percent of your vitamin C needs for the day. According to the American Heart Association, eating higher amounts of a compound found in citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruit may lower ischemic stroke risk for women.

Day 1
Ok ready to start, trying the juice diet as seen in the video Fat Sick and Nearly Dead , the man in the video improved his health after trying it for 60 days , i am going to take it a week at a time and see how i go.Hoping to lose 25 pounds , i figure the weight loss will help my back and legs hopefully helping with the pain and maybe making me more mobile.
Weight now 144 pound - 10.2 Stone BMI - 25.2 Body Fat - 40.7 Muscle - 24.0 Visceral Fat - 7 Target Weight 119 pound - 8.5 Stone
And yes i know i have said it a 100 times before but , i am giving up smoking making it public so friends and family can help and will know if i cheat.
Smoking lowers the level of oxygen in your blood, which can increase the sensation of pain. And nicotine is a mental stimulant that can increase your perception of physical pain, which can cause you to experience fibromyalgia symptoms more acutely. ... Approximately one in four people with fibromyalgia smokes.I tend to smoke more when i am in pain because i am stressed which doesn't make sense really , time to stop.
