-He closed the door behind Victor and followed him inside. The corner of his mouth quirked upwards in a smirk at the other man's discovery.- It's an experiment. Don't touch them, you'll change the environment.

-The Detective flomped into his chair and peered over at the other man watching him curiously.- Are you planning on staying? In London, I mean.
You didn’t do half bad. Although the ones you slipped up on were ridiculous. Really they were child’s play. Ah. Yes. A Study In Pink. -He sneers and rolls his eyes.- I often wonder if he has a brain in that funny little head of his.

Well… Yes. That’s why I asked. You’re the only one who ever got mine right.

Oh… You’ve gotten better. A lot better. Always knew that you… Well, glad that it could help. Actual hard facts instead of stories.

Yes. John does like to give them silly titles. There is really no need. He gets most of it wrong anyway. Tea?

"Isaac Mendez.... Isaac Mendez.... Isaac Mendez..."
Sherlock sat with John's laptop on his knees as he chewed on the end of a pen. That name was ringing a bell but he just couldn't remember quite where from. His left leg jigged up and down as he stared at the blank screen. The Detective didn't want to rely on the computer. Not just yet. Although his Mind Palace was proving to be uncooperative at that moment.
With an agitated sigh, he tapped the name into the search engine and waited. A soft smirk played on his lips as a photo of the gentleman in question came up in the search. An independent artist from New York working mainly on comic book art. Most certainly not the man who had been in his flat earlier that day. Well then, that certainly was no mystery. Sherlock could tell by the way he said the name that it wasn't his own. But why lie?
The next piece of information made the Detective frown and narrow his startling blue eyes. Isaac Mendez was dead. He had been found with his wrists and ankles impaled to the floor with his own paint brushes. The top of his skull had been sliced off. The police could not locate the instrument used to cut the top of the man's head off, but it was a clean slice suggesting medical equipment. No one had see anyone go into Mr Mendez's loft which he used as his studio and no one saw anyone leave.
Sherlock held strong suspicions that it was indeed the killer that visited him that morning. But why? What could he possibly gain from putting himself into the line of fire? Was he dealing with another Moriarty? A man who was simply bored and wanted to watch the world burn? Or was there something more to this? Sherlock didn't have much to go on right now. From the man's accent he was American, most likely living in the Queens area. His hand were large but did not look like workers hands. The tips of his fingers had been rough which might suggest constant play of a stringed instrument. But not quite. Had to be something else. Someone who did detailed work with his hands.
This was going to take more thought.

Mr Moriarty, You've hurt me. -Rolls his eyes-

Well, if you have nothing of interest, I will be finding my cure for boredom elsewhere.

I'm bored and you're here. Either indulge me or we can go our separate ways and I'll just chalk this up to bad luck.

So. Does the Storyteller have any tales to tell?

I know you do.

Bored. You've been rather quiet as of late. Makes me think you're up to something.

I suppose I did.

I am guessing it is a little too much to hope for that you're behaving yourself?

No. I am glad you came to see me. It’s been a while. You read my blog? Or John’s blog. I assure you they’re both completely different.

Sherlock.

That scarf is unmistakable. It’s a pleasure to see you again, old friend. I tried looking for you when I arrived in London, but- well, you’ve never been found when you don’t want to be, hm?
#Hey there!#I think Sherlock was just Sherlock#And just vanished one day#Just didn't think of the consequences#He was just too wrapped up in himself to notice anything else#mrtrevor
