Ten solo fandom struggle from schizophrenia?

I seriously sometimes wonder that

Wayv fans cannot even praise their group for being multilingual without Ten solo stans stepping in and try to claim that “only Ten speaks multiple languages” - then when group fans correct them by listing languages each member can speak, they try to say that “they can only say hi/greet themselves in them”. And when group fans correct them AGAIN that those are languages they are fluent in, they jump into victim mode, screaming that Ten is not enough for wayv fans and that we’re putting him down, not appreciating him or whatever.

Nobody ever denied that Ten is beyond talented. Wayv fans always say how he is one of the best dancers in whole kpop, even fighting for that n0.1 spot. His vocals are amazing and his performance is fierce and his songs? Heaven to the ear

But this solo fanbase is doing way too much, trying to “prove” that nobody in Wayv is as amazing as Ten, constantly ignoring the talents of others — You could be praising Wayv for something and they will find a way to be pressed at that, trying to convince the world that it’s only Ten that can do something. You can be happy about Wayv holding concerts (bc the original fans remember how Wayv was kept in SM basement) and they will try to make you feel bad, cause “Ten should have had a solo schedule instead”. You could be happy about Yangyang participating in some dance show as a judge and they will make fun of Yangyang dancing skills, acting like only Ten can dance in this group (he is the BEST among them, but they are doing way too much). You could be praying for Xiaojun or Kun solo and still will find some Ten solo stans acting like Ten is the only member that is suitable for solo career.

And they constantly make up their own scenarios in their head. Especially when it’s something related to Xiaojun and will try to flip what happened to make him look like an evil villain that did something terrible to their fav and they’re the soldiers that needs to protect him

Also want to point out how it’s kinda ironic how now they seem worried and say that “ Ten’s exhausted” or “handling two schedules is too much”, but when some WayV fans were rightfully not pleased about the whole “Ten should be in 127” idea that Ten solo fandom started and pushed, pointing out that he already has one group and it’s exhausting — no one cared about his health back then? Everyone was boosting people saying: “Ten deserves to be in 127!!” and didn’t see anyone back then being worried that maybe MAYBE that’s too much for one person to handle?

Do not misunderstand me: SM is doing Ten dirty by not giving him enough promo and time to shine during his solo and not planning well the whole thing so he could rest between his two schedules (solo and group one) — but that issue has been with SM for years now and been the most visible with the way Mark and Haechan were/are managed. And Ten solo stans who like to obsess so much over 127 as well were very much aware of the level of overwork they were put through and yet didn’t mind saying they want Ten in 127! (But when it comes to Wayv they suddenly want to act like they are the only ones that care about Ten and that group fans who love him both in solo and in Wayv don’t )

People obsession with Chenle sexuality needs to be studied

Everytime i open social media after one of Chenle lives, I see bunch of people making hit tweets in which they assume or argue about his sexuality — are you guys good in the head?

For what we know Chenle himself have stated that he does not like men, which means that he is straight. It’s super weird to see people still making comments like “I can’t accept that he is not gay/he is lying” or jumping straight to denial of what he said. If he said he is straight, then he is! And just because he can appreciate other men beauty, doesn’t mean he is not-straight. I too can appreciate beauty or sexiness of the same gender person, but that doesn’t mean i am interested in them or attracted to them (that just means i own a pair of eyes and can see).

Now, even if Chenle would be confused and in let’s say years from now on change his mind about his sexuality, that doesn’t give you NOW permission to question his words and try to force sexuality onto him that you want him to be, even if he himself said that he is not that.

Seriously. You spent too much time obsessing over what gender he is attracted to, instead of just appreciating that you have one of the lifetime idol that is very genuine with you, doesn’t play any type of character and is just being himself and on top of that is extremely talented and kind. Isn’t that much more important? Why in kpop everything for you comes back to: if those idols are gay or not? Why you only limit them to this? — With that behavior you will only make Chenle stop coming to social media and making his lives, interacting with his fans and distance himself the same way some NCT members already did.

Keep your ships to yourself, stop forcing them onto idols

Idols are not your dolls you can play with in the dollhouse, giving them names, doing their hair, picking which doll will be their love-interest and what life they’re going to “live” — you need to wake up and realize that what you imaged, doesn’t necessarily is true.

I know by now, that this is one and the same person who just few days earlier asked Kun similar questions and made him very uncomfortable. I don’t understand what type of person you need to be to even have guts to not only admit that you heavily ship two idols together, believing that they are truly in love in front of them, but “scolding” them for not giving you enough fan-service? For not showing enough “love”? Do you have no shame?

I don’t wanna here have conversations about who they love, fancy or whatever (cause honestly? Don’t care much). I just wanna say that having such a deep parasocial relationship with your favs is very dangerous and concerning . And there is quite a few of kunten shippers (the topic is about them, but there are more shippers like this) who lost touch with reality and over-sexualize their bond calling Ten “mommy/wifey” and Kun “daddy/husband” and ofc rest of the members are “their kids”. If it were only a joke, I wouldn’t care about it much - but most of the time i see it, it’s not just a joke and fans really believe the image they created in their head (even if Ten himself expressed that he find it weird being called “mommy”) — one of the examples is user @/ Qianfamliy7 on twt . The level of parasocial and delusion is outrageous and I wouldn’t be surprised if they would be the same person who asked those questions to KunTen - not trying to hate on them, i just find their behavior strangely weird.

Stop calling your idols weird names. Stop living in your head. If you want to ship, leave it on social media or to yourself. Don’t go to those idols and ask them weird questions, demanding answers! That’s disrespectful, that’s weird and that will make them limit interactions with the fans! Or in the worst case: with each other!

I have a weird feeling that Kun might come back to China after Wayv contract expires

I’ve been wondering lately why is that that Kun didn’t seem to move out from the dorms, since all the other members seemed to do that. Especially since he now owns a Cookie — and i came to the conclusion that there is possibility that Kun is not willing to stay in Korea and will move back to China to focus his career there.

If i am right, that would make sense why he is not buying his own apartment and staying in the dorms. And to my knowledge the Wayv contract will either expire later this year or in 2026 (?- i might be wrong tho).

But you know what? I would absolutely be happy for him if that’s his decision and support him wholeheartedly in leaving a country that doesn’t give him opportunities he deserves. So much talent wasted in xenophobic label, so many years there just to receive nothing ! If i would be Kun, i wouldn’t look back twice, i would just leave and never comeback. I want Kun to finally be able to release his own music and not having SM who prevents him from doing so…this guy can: sing, write, produce and compose music !

If his decision is to leave, I don’t want to see anyone being mad at him. And i hope that if he will go back to his home country and start his solo career there, he will receive as much support and love as he deserved to get for all those years of being overlooked by both his label and his fandom.

Put your clothes back on and sit down. We’re gonna talk about how solo stans believe they are better fans

Oh how many times i’ve red the term “Solo *insert fandom name* are the true/real fans 🥹”. Oh how many times i’ve seen them trying to shame group stans for not focusing only on one member. Oh how many times i’ve seen them loosing their mind over group stans being just happy that the member mentioned group name/sang group song during a solo activity and trying to tell group stans that they are not allowed to be happy about it, cause “you don’t care about his solo activities” (it wasn’t us who sang it? And we are allowed to be happy about both things)

And OH how many times i’ve seen them desperately trying to separate the artist from its group, painting them as victim of b*llies that they need to protect.

You don’t get to say who can and cannot be a fan of who and how much time during a day they spend sharing their support. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are NOT a “better fan” simply because you only focus on them. You don’t get to question group stans support for the one that you stan, simply because they show their support and love to others as well - it seem to me that a lot of fans like THIS are just super lonely and want to find some special connection with someone that they love, therefore don’t even realize how parasocial their “relationship” with their idol becomes —> “i’m his true fan” / “only us truly care for him” / “only we truly support him” / “we are his. True fans” / “group stans don’t even support him, we are the only ones streaming his music”

One last thing: your idol showing support to the group they are/were in (singing their songs, talking about them) is not “betraying you”. Stop being so goddamn obsessed with idea of them hating the group and maybe you will sleep better at night.

Nobody should be loosing morals over Korean idol industry

That’s the topic that has been bugging me a lot lately. Especially with certain situation going around. We all love our idols and it’s not something wrong, after all when we decide to stan someone we want to believe that they are a good person with a good heart.

Unfortunately things don’t always turn this way and some idols hide the most disgusting face behind all the beautiful smiles and persona they created for us. They are trained this way: to be perfect for their fans, cute, innocent, no dating, no smoking, just pure PERFECTION ! And As much as it’s not that hard to accept that they do those things (dating, smoking) - they are humans after all. Accepting serious accusations thrown under our “perfect idol” name is much harder.

It’s not the first time that I see an Korean idol (kpop/actor) being charged with serious accusations, yet still having fanbase behind them that claims that everything is “false”… As if evil is not all shapes and form all around the world. There are good, bad, stupid and smart people on this planet in all shapes and forms. Which means Including your idols. The industry will try to get into your head and convince you that people you stan are “walking perfection” - unfortunately sometimes this is only the image that label created! And the real face is hidden and only shows itself when the cameras are not rolling!

What I’m saying is not that you should turn away from your favorite idol the minute you read something online about them… it’s unfortunate ,but there are cases where idols are falsly accused of something by f.e. ssgs! -> that’s why it’s better to wait for evidence Not immediately jumping into defensive mode, rather take it as a neutral observator who just wants to know the truth and be objective about it

You are a human being, before you are a fan and to female fans - you are a WOMAN, before you are a fan of someone. And no woman should side with predator, when there’s evidence

Another thing is: using serious crimes as something to use in a fanwar - honestly don’t know what’s worse. Defending your idol like your life depends on it or using actual crime to create a fanwar. I don’t really care when they use topics like f.e bullying in a fanwar against fandom they fight against … but using 🍇 is wrong on so many levels, that i think i do not need to explain. Thinking that there are people who acts like this and think they are in the right makes me want to vomit.

Members should start setting the boundaries with their fans the same way Chenle do

This parasocial relationship a lot of fans have with certain NCT members (especially visible in fandoms like: tyongf’s, 10vely, sfs, markf’s) have reached ridiculous point. Fans act like they are either closest friends or guardians of their idols and throw a fit over smallest of things - most of the time something that ain’t even an issue.

They act like they know their idol, own them and speak for them. Close people around them can’t even normally interact with each other, without them finding an issue about every little thing—> and considering that NCT units (especially Nct 127 and Wayv) have very sibling-like bond with each other, the teasing is ongoing - and every little joke is taken as something “disrespectful” for them. So those stupid conversations are more common than they should be.

If you think that your idol would be happy to see you hating on their close friend/someone they treat like a brother for something silly, you’re in deep deep denial - if i would be famous and see some of my “fans” hating on my sibling for some stupid joke they cracked, my ass would be blocking your accounts. Cause there is no way i’m allowing you to sh*ttalk someone that i LOVE! -> and this is most likely the Same your idols feel or even act (if they have secret accounts here on socials - and they most likely have). In no world Mark would be happy to see you hating on Haechan or other way around, Taeyong would never support you hating on Doyoung and Ten would be disappointed as hell to see what some of his so called “fans” do to Wayv (most of the times to the leader himself)

What is sad is the fact that this issue is still visible and escalated to ridiculous point, because of amount of fanservice those idols are forced to do. Acting like they would marry them, force to do fancalls even with stalkers and too late to set a boundary —> yk why Chenle has some of the least problematic fans ? (i barely see his fanbase fighting). Because the man set a boundary with them. He treats them nice, but won’t let them be delusional that they will “marry him”. He likes to interact with his fans, but doesn’t like fanservice <- and that’s how it supposed to be! Having healthy relationship with your fans! I so WISH all the members could have thus type of relationship with their fans. Just pure fan-idol relationship. Instead of acting like they are part of the “family” or “besties” with idols or any other 💩

And to end this: i wish members could start calling out those weird fans who act so hateful, but i know they won’t do it, cause a lot of them are way too crazy and unpredictable ://

Kun is so wrongly treated, even by some of his “fans”

I absolutely hate how majority of that fandom just decided that Kun is a “boring old man” and just ran with it, simply because he has different hobbies/interests.

They took Wayv teasing Kun, as a sign that they are too allowed to do it and took their “jokes” way too far, many times just straight up being mean to him, calling him names and making fun of the way he is - loving nature, photography, adventures or traveling is nothing outrageous or weird. In fact, it’s the most beautiful thing and his current or future partner will have so many beautiful memories with Kun thanks to the things this man is interested in.

You guys have this Wattpad - like picture in your head of what a “fun person” looks like. And for Kun who doesn’t fit in this image you have created, who has calm soul and just loves different things. You decided that because the man is different that all the macho “fun” man in your fanfics, then that means that Kun is surely boring. When to ME: Kun is the most interesting nct member. Kun loves nature, just like me. Kun prefers peace and quiet over crowds and noise. Kun sees beauty in small things. Kun has an artistic soul. Kun loves traveling. Kun thinks of others before himself. Kun has the most beautiful soul.

And let’s not forget there’s a part of his personality that we don’t see, because SM wants to show us only that part that fit into persona/image they forced onto Kun. Behind the cameras there is a part of Kun that is only limited for his friends and family. Behind the cameras Kun made his members and friends love him deeply, more even than us. If he was a “boring” person, he wouldn’t be as much loved as he is.

And to the shippers who daily use him just for their 🚢, writing weird things about him, sexualizing him and then shaming him, talking that he is this and that or that he for sure not know how to do smth : shut up. You’re annoying. And what you’re doing is disgusting !

Don’t talk ill of Ten if you are a Nuoyi, don’t talk ill of Kun if you are a 10vely

I would very much appreciate if i would stop seeing those two fandom using Ten and Kun in their little fanwars and bashing them for some stupid things.

Those two are best friends. They’re close like nobody else. And you hate them for what? Cause Ten had 2nd mini album before Kun got anything? I understand the frustration, but HOW is that Ten’s fault? - as I said before: members don’t have control over anything. It’s all on SM! … I mean even if you voice your frustrations without blaming it on Ten, then why are you even bringing him up in the conversation? You can voice your anger at the lack of opportunities Kun is getting without bringing his name!

And hating on Kun, when you are a Ten solo fan is pointless, cause there is no one more supportive of Ten in this world than Kun - he is the biggest 10vely, you guys hate on your own leader.

We need to stop blaming members for every inconvenience

Doyoung gets a full album before 127 comeback? Oh, he is so selfish. Nct Dream gets another tour? Oh, they hate 127. Mark and Haechan participate in 127 activities instead of Dream ones? Ofc they hate Dream. Wayv got a comeback before Ten solo? The members hate Ten and use him.

“I’m not a company guy” - Taeyong.

None of them are. How this group is managed, when they have a comeback and who gets opportunity for a solo is not something they have a hand in. If they did, I’m pretty sure we would have more comebacks and more solos by now. But they Don’t!

NO Doyoung is not a SELFISH person, neither is Taeyong a “bad leader” for having a solo album. The albums are released in a time when no comebacks are planned for their group. And anyway, they have every right to release solo work. It’s all part of an artistic growth. And we all should support them, instead of creating unnecessary fanwars. Especially that they see it all - shame on you all!

NO, Haechan and Mark do not like one unit more than the other. They don’t control the comebacks and their schedule - and they cannot clone themselves to be in two places at once (it’s not Dream/127 fault either that when one has a comeback, the other is booked with things like festivals)

It is all controlled by SM - their label. They are the people who plan those things. They are the people in control. Members only follow their orders. If you’re mad at the mistreatment and unorganized schedules (and you have the right) - be mad at the label, stop acting like members plan their comeback schedules.

And Just because you are a solo stan or unitzen, doesn’t explain your hatred towards other units/members and the way you blame them for every mistreatment your fav is facing! -> none of the members are in charge of anything!

Not so long ago, Ten held a concert in Thailand and i have some thoughts that i want to share

Long story short: If you don’t know during that type of concerts some fans sometimes create “ship polls” for fun. People who attend a concert are supposed to put stickers on ship that they like the most and later we see which ships have most stickers on, which ones are the most popular - pretty fun right?

Yeah, however something this time doesn’t sit right with me. And it’s not about ships (cause who in the right mind would be mad at that). It’s the way Ten is viewed by his own fans (or at least it heavily looks like this)… Let’s take a look at this poll:

Do you see smth that bothers you? Because i do and in a way, it makes me sad. You don’t understand? Well look which pairings have the most stickers and how many stickers have pairings with members that Ten is closest with —> Like i said, it’s not about those ships, but the way you see Ten. And you can say I over exaggerate things and that I am “overreacting”. But Am I really? Let’s be honest. Which “ships” usually become more popular? : the ones that are very close with each other. Ones that have a lot of interactions - that are just close friends with each other. (hence why in the past people used to ship TaeTen and JohnTen a lot)

So why the pairings that have the most stickers on are the pairings that barely interact with each other right now, but the ones that Ten is the closest with… have the least? I know i might sound crazy to you right now. But to me it seems like some Ten fans see him only like someone they can ship their favs with. I wouldn’t see any problem with that poll if i would see that the stickers are placed on pairings that Ten feels actually close with. The ones that interact a lot - And it doesn’t matter in which Unit they would be in! + you guys really don’t stan Ten and listen to what he says.

And one thing again is sadly shown is how many nctzens treat Wayv. How they don’t care about them and have some weird beef with them. Cause once again: anyone who ever watched any Wayv content, would quickly notice how super close those members are with each other. Anyone who listen to what Ten says - especially nowadays - would know that this guy feels the closest with Wayv, he sees Wayv as his family and is very thankful to have them in his life. And you would know that nobody stan and supports Ten more than Wayv members.

So why people Ten interacts the most with? Expressed many times how much he loves them are the people his own fans don’t like him around? But the people Ten barely interacts nowadays (which honestly is a shame) are the ones people seems to like the most? My only thought is that: either you hacked Ten phone and have some information that we don’t OR your opinions are heavily based on shipping fantasies

Kun and Yuta are the most mistreated members in NCT. They are not “treated” at ALL

Many conversations already were held on how other NCT members are treated by SM. How Ten is mistreated, how Taeyong is mistreated, how Mark, how Haechan, how Jaehyun etc. etc. And all of those takes are correct, cause no member in NCT is treated fairly by that label. But if we compare how people mentioned above were/are treated and how those two… it makes you terrified how you suddenly think that the others are treated “well”, because those two get absolutely NOTHING!

The others were given some NCT stations, mini albums (maybe beside Haechan for now), main NCT U units and some minimal promo… Meanwhile Yuta had to record his own album by his own hands under different label and Kun still has no album in sight, not even 1 mini album (even if he is most prepared for it / i mean his skills) - and when Yuta finally released his first solo album they didn’t even change the layout as they usually do for other artists…

But this is not even conversation about the solo work! It’s about how throughout the years they’ve been treated! How they’ve been ignored. How Yuta had almost 0 lines and screen time. How they would remove his clips that he recorded in MVs. How they made Kun stand next to that goddamn wall during nct 2018, because he was only featured on black on black back then. Watching everyone dancing to their songs with a smile… How they never gave Kun a chance to shine on the main (title tracks) NCT U subunits, how they always only shuffle him for backtracks or less promoted ones.

It really got to a point, where you look at how Kun and Yuta are “treated” and think: “The others actually receive some promo” - much to think about!
