Happy Wednesday! As I've said previously, I'm posting adopts today because I have business on Friday. I've returned to farrago dollmaker for resprites this week. I was trying to go for a more Beforus look for these guys... But honestly, I think the only ones who reach that level for me is the bronze, the gold, and the teal. I still like everyone's designs, though, it's cute.

Aquariumstuck Juno! As you can see, he's a mermaid and technically part of the aquarium's exhibit, but he's a curious fish and wants to be involved in the research side of things too. Not that he minds having visitors admire him, either.

Do you remember Heinoustuck? I sure do. It's one of my fave Homestuck AUs and I've always wanted to make my own Heinoustuck sprites, but I'm not actually good at designing horror. In spite of that, I'm really happy with how these turned out!

It helps to have a focused theme. Juno is canonically half troll (not that he knows yet), so this was built on this idea that he would be forced to become one. I realized half way that this was kind of a reverse little mermaid situation, where a human gets turned into a fish prince.

Also! This is the first in my little side project I call Into the Junoverse where I just try to turn Juno into as many Homestuck (or Homestuck adjacent) things as possible. I know this is a wild AU to start with but hey, it's what I wanted to do.

Do you have any grimdark aura bases? That'd be super cool to see from you :3

I actually didn't, because I make my aura from scratch every time I do a grimdark sprite. In my mind, the aura wraps around the character, clothes included, and not just behind them. Still, I made one for you!

As with all my guides, these rules are not universal or set in stone, this is just how I go about it. Also, if you don't want to do all of these, you can always do the steps up to step three and just take the tentacles from the base and paste it in.

Resprited/Redesigned/Revived one of my old favorite fankids, Juno Fujioka :] He changed a lot throughout the years, but honestly, lately I've been itching to turn back a bit and make him the more cheerful and chaotic guy he was near the beginning.

Juno had a vision of the horrorterrors when he was younger, and has developed something of an obsession with them. To that end, he ended up getting a degree in astrophysics at an improbably young age. Despite his remarkable genius, he's constantly looked down upon and underestimated by his peers because of his lackadaisical attitude, and while he resents not being respected, he doesn't want to change that part of himself. He's currently working as an intern in crockercorp, though he seems to have his own agenda...

Also, his alpha counterpart is the one who ended up establishing Skaianet, which doesn't exist in his current timeline.

I re-visited my sprite prompt generator for ideas today and got punk terezi :] I dunno what it is about the Pyropes but I like spriting them, they're very fun to design for.

So, while making the mega base, I realized that Latula is the ONLY alpha troll to not have an alternate outfit for their ministrife appearances. Sure, Cronus' outfit is just his regular outfit + jacket but it was still SOMETHING, but poor Latula didn't get any... So I made her two! The first one is her own spin on Terezi's ancestral threads, while the other is a more casual scalemate hoodie, also based on one of Terezi's outfits.

Happy Friday! A very basic set this week, no themes or anything. I made these trolls concurrently with the mega base I made as a sort of test to see how they look in action, which is why you'll see a lot of mixed and matched pieces from that base.

After a few weeks, my pet project base is finally complete... And it was so big I had to split it in half to post to Tumblr so you can actually see what each outfit looks like.

But anyway, here it is! Every outfit from homestuck that has been sprited, including some that weren't, and also a good selection of original outfits made by me! I hope you guys enjoy this- I spent so much time on this but seeing the finished base come together is very satisfying. Is there any outfit recently that's kinda reached memetic levels like that strawberry dress that was famous for a bit or are commonly used in fanart like that bunny suit?

After finishing my commissions, I finally have some free time to work on HollowRoom again ! Re-did Yuki's talksprite a little, mostly made his hair longer/fluffier and added more expressions.

Hello! I've followed your blog for a while (using alt account because my og isnt allowed to use the ask function or something? working on it -_-) and i've been thinking about making my own spriting blog, as i like to make hs-style sprites for fun. Do you have any tips on making/running a blog like this mayhaps? Thanks in advance :)

Hi there! So this is a late reply, since I've been thinking about what I'm gonna say for a bit. I wish I had more advice to give you but it really does boil down to: Make what you want! Don't feel pressured to regularly post if you're not up for it, there's no use in burning yourself out from your own hobby.

Also, I've found that being involved in the community helps to keep me motivated. I'm genuinely not a big fan of socializing and joining discord chats BUT I make exceptions for Homestuck Spriting discords, because seeing other people's works and having them interact with mine in turn keeps me motivated.
