Botox vs Dermal Fillers?
We often see celebrities getting Botox done or using Dermal fillers to achieve a more youthful appearance. But what is the difference between them and how can you make sure to choose the right treatment? Read on to find out what procedure would be best suitable for you!
Botox or Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle and prevents it from actively contracting when the face is in motion or making an expression.
Botox will be the right choice for you if you would like to correct dynamic lines (lines which get deeper when you move your face, like raise your eyebrows or frown) and reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles. Botox is the most effective way to soften existing lines and relax the muscles, resulting in a more youthful fresher look. It is also used as a preventative method for early signs of aging.
Facial fillers or dermal fillers are also used to prevent or eliminate the aging of the skin. Facial fillers help to restore the fat pads that unfortunately over time reduce resulting in aging from our 30s onwards. Not only do dermal fillers fill the troubled areas with hyaluronic acid, which is naturally in our skin it helps to plump and lift the skin achieving a more youthful appearance.
Choose Facial Fillers if you have static wrinkles, which are visible even when your face is relaxed and making no expression. Facial Fillers are also ideal to use on the depleted and sunken areas on your face. The most popular areas are the cheeks and the nasolabial folds (lines which occur from the side of your nose to the corner of your mouth).
Before deciding between Botox and Facial fillers, you should consider what part of your face you would like to treat and what wrinkles you want to get rid of.
At Deerpark Aesthetics we provide an anti-wrinkle treatment plan to outline how much work you need and how often you will need to return. Botox typically last between 3-4 months whereas dermal fillers last from 9 months to a year and a half.

Two weeks after the procedure we invite you back for a free correctional treatment according to your needs and desires.
It is also very important to carry out a throughout medical check-up to ensure your suitability for treatment. If you are pregnant or breast feeding we do not recommend you to get any antiwrinkle treatment done.
