“Mum, we’ve been through this before.”
Balancing my phone between my ear and shoulder, I rummaged through my bag, trying to find my house keys.
“Yeah, well, I don’t plan on doing that anytime soon, so let move on from this topic, yeah?”
Finally fishing the keys out, I grabbed my phone and unlocked the door.
“Hmm, I’ll think about it. I-” Seeing a brown enveloped with a distinct stamp on it, I paused. “Mum, I’ll call you back later, yeah? I just remembered I’ve got some work to do. Love you. Bye.”
Locking the door behind me, I picked up the envelope and made my way into the living room, closing the curtains before setting the envelope on the coffee table as I stared at it.
I haven’t seen that stamp in over two years. Not since I left. I don’t know why they’ve decided to send me a letter now, but it can’t be anything good. Pacing around the table, I mulled over the idea of opening the envelope. Unsure if I actually wanted to know what was inside it.
A sudden knock on my door stopped me in my tracks. On instinct, my head snapped up in the direction of the sound.
“It’s just me. We need to talk.”
Recognising the voice, I quickly made my way over to let the person in.
“Hey.”
“What’re you doing here?” Closing the door, I let the person into the living room, gesturing him to sit down.
Sitting down, he raised a brow at me, “What? It’s been two years, and this is all I get?”
“I’m serious Junghoon.” Picking up the envelope, I looked back up at him. “Why are you here? Because when I left. I left for good.”
His eyes lowered to the envelope before coming back up to mine. “You’ve not read it.”
“No. I’ve just come back. Why should I.”
Junghoon patted the space next to him, “I came to show you something.”
Taking a seat behind him, I watched as he pulled out a tablet from his backpack.
“Three months ago, the police got a call for a break in at 62 Walkers Avenue.”
Frowning, I looked at him, “That’s Yeosang’s place.”
“The call got transferred to us because of the location. When we got there, the place was already burning. When the fire was put out, we found partially burnt remains of a male. The only key evidence that we could pick up was the vintage leather strap watch that Yeosang never took off and a black dagger with a mountain carved at the base that belongs to -”
“San.”
Junghoon nodded, his eyes never leaving my face, trying to find something, “Yes. After we found the dagger, we headed straight to San’s but his place was empty. And so was everyone else's.”
I looked straight at Junghoon, knowing exactly what he was trying to say, “What are you trying to say?”
“They killed Yeosang. And a few other officers in our department. They all died the same way.”
Junghoon took out four more folders, each folder consisted of a partially burnt victim, with evidence showing that they were members of KQ Agency.
“You can’t be serious.” My eyes darted from the folders laid out on the coffee table to Junghoon. “You know them, Junghoon! They trained you! I don’t know about the other four, but they would never do that to Yeosang. Never.”
“It’s hard to not believe it, when the evidence all points to them.”
I stared at Junghoon in disbelief. He can’t be serious.
Junghoon looked at me before turning away, his entire demeanour turning to one of hesitance, “Have you.... Have they contacted you recently?”
“No. They haven’t. Neither has anyone from the agency before now. When I left, I cut all ties from your lot.”
Sensing my irritation, Junghoon stood up, his bag in hand as I walked him to the door.
“I should go. If you get anything. Please call us. And please, open the envelope and consider the offer.”
I simply stared at him as he got into his car.
Once he drove off, I shut the door, locking it before heading back to the living room.
I may have lied to Junghoon. While I don’t contact anyone from my unit, it didn’t mean I didn’t know how to contact them when they didn’t want others to hear. I also don’t trust Junghoon. I haven’t seen him in two years and that’s more than enough time for someone to change. But I know my old unit, and they would never do that, so something is going on within KQ.
Tearing open the envelope, I took out the piece of paper within it. Reading through it, I quirked a brow at the offer. They are really desperate, aren’t they. Turning to look at the pictures concealed in a flap in the envelope, I was met with seven familiar faces staring at me. Each one of them had information written about them. Information I knew by heart.
Dropping the papers back on the table, I looked at the five, open folders on the coffee table. I picked up the polaroid camera that was on one of my shelves and took pictures of all of them. Making sure that the pictures came out clear.
With five polaroids in my hand, I walked up the stairs to my bedroom. Having the habit of keeping my bedroom curtains closed, I head straight for my wardrobe, not worrying about anyone looking at me. I grabbed a large duffle bag from the corner, sliding the polaroids into a side pocket, before stuffing a few sets of clothes and essential products into the bag.
Zipping up the bag, I went to my bedside table, opening the drawer, I pushed slightly at the corner, revealing a false bottom. Removing the slab of wood, I took out the dagger and gun that were concealed beneath it. Placing the dagger in my boot and the gun to my hip, I put the slab of wood back before kneeling next to my bed.
Flipping up the duvet and bed sheet that hung over the side of the bed frame, I pulled out the storage drawer under the bed completely to access the floor board beneath it. Opening up the flood, I took out a briefcase that I placed in there two years ago. I was something Yeosang gave me before I left the unit. Something that I didn’t want to touch after leaving.
Opening the briefcase up, I looked at the radio system and earplug within it. It was one Yeosang made. He made eight in total. One for each of us. The unit was a way for us to communicate without anyone listening in. Yeosang made sure that no one could hack into the system. Though there was one flaw with it. And it was that no one knew how many people were on. Which meant we had to make sure we knew where the briefcase was at all times.
I put on the head set and flipped the switch to turn the system on. Listening to the static, I waited to see if anyone was on, as each second passed, I started to lose hope. Until I heard someone.
“We’re - done – headed- war - house – by-”
Turning off the system, I frowned. What have they done? I thought of the places they could be at, but nothing came up. House? War house? The warehouse! If it’s the same warehouse as before, then I know where they are.
I put the floor and drawer back, making sure everything was where it’s supposed to be and headed back downstairs with the briefcase and duffle bag in hand. I went into the kitchen, stuffed some bottles of water and protein bars into the duffle, and then walked into the pantry, closing the door behind me. This pantry may seem like a normal one to everyone else, but after I bought the house, I built a passage that went under the house that led to a private garage not far from me.
I ran my finger along one of the shelves, stopping when I felt a small bump. Leaving my finger on the bump, I waited for a few seconds before a small panel opened up on the wall beside me. Placing my hand inside the wall, waiting for the reader to finish scanning my hand. It didn’t take long before the wall in front of me opened up, showing a stairs case that went down.
Walking into the dimly lit passage, I made sure to wall close behind before making my way down the stairs and to the garage.
While I could’ve just walked out the house and left in my normal car, I knew KQ. They probably have agents parked around my house watching out for me, which I kind of find funny. I worked for KQ for a long time. I knew all their strategies and protocols. Which is why I built this passage. For times like this.
Coming to the end of the passage, I stared at the wooden door that was covered in cobwebs. I haven’t been to the garage through this way since it was built two years ago, and I honestly didn’t think I’d have to.
Opening the door, I stepped into the garage, everything inside was how I left it a couple of months ago. I walked up to the covered car in the centre of the room, and yanked the white sheet off. The car was a well looked after 1969 Chevrolet Impala. I bought the car two years ago for emergency use. With it being an old car, there was no way for someone to hack into the GPS to track me. There is literally nothing they can hack in to. And people might think, ‘oh, it’s too flashy. People can tell straight away.’. No one will bat an eye in this neighbourhood because everyone here is rich and there’s a classic car driving down the road every two seconds.
I opened the car door, threw the bag and briefcase into the back, and started up the car. Before I pulled out of the garage, I put on a face mask and pulled down the sun shield, lowering the chances of someone noticing me through the street cameras.
Driving down the road, I looked back at the house that was almost out of view. There were cars I had never seen parked not far from my house. Guess my suspicions were right.
The warehouse that I was heading to was on the outskirts of the town next to the city. When I was still at KQ, the boys and I would go there after missions to rest and relax. It was basically out headquarters outside of KQ. No one but us knew about it. We decorated the place so that it could act as a home to us as well, with all of us having a bedroom there.
By the time I got to the next town, the sun had already set. While the drive wasn’t as long as it used to be, seeing as I lived on the outskirts of the city, it still took a couple of hours to get there.
Parking the car a couple of blocks away. I grabbed the briefcase and duffle and made my way down the street. As I got closer, I made out the familiar, worn-down exterior of the warehouse. Walking up to the door, I hoovered my thumb above the handle where the sensor was located. I have no idea if they still have my thumb print saved or not, but here goes nothing.
Pressing down on the handle, I waited a couple of seconds before I heard a click of the door unlocking.
Pulling the door open, I walked in. The ground floor remained bare; it was the only place we didn’t decorate, to keep up the facade of it being unused. Shutting the door behind me, I walked to the back of the building where the stairs were located. If they still did things the way they used to, then they were probably upstairs relaxing on the sofas.
I quietly made my way up the stairs, the sound of laughter and chatter getting louder, the closer I got to them.
“Look, it wasn’t my fault they had people outside. Woo said they were only inside!”
The sound of the familiar voices made me stop at the top of the stairs. It’s been too long since I heard them.
“Are you lot going to stand there all night or join us?”
The sudden sound of Mingi’s deep voice made me raise a brow. He must’ve thought I was the others.
“Not them.” I walked out of the shadows towards their forms by the sofa. “But you guys have a lot of explaining to do.”
Yeosang and Mingi froze sightly before their heads shot around. Eyes wide in shock, their gaze never left me as I closed the distance between us.
“When they come back, there better be an explanation because I had Junghoon at my door step earlier and KQ agents patrolling outside my house.”
I took a seat on the arm chair by the coffee table, completely ignoring their looks.
Mingi opened his mouth a couple of times, trying to form a complete sentence, “You - what -”
“We’re back!” Hongjoong’s voice echoed through the warehouse, as heavy footsteps made their way up the metal stairs. “And we’ve got the files.”
Hongjoong was the first to emerge from the stairs, his hair now a dark brown instead of the blue it was two years ago. His eyes shifted between Mingi and Yeosang, noting their silence, before landing on me.
I gave him a small wave, “Hi.”
Hongjoong stopped in the middle of the room causing Wooyoung to crash into him.
“What’s wrong with -” Wooyoung stopped mid-sentence after noticing my presence. “What’re you doing here?”
Everyone was now stood somewhere behind Mingi and Yeosang, their expressions ranging from shock to apprehension.
I took out the polaroids from my duffle bag, placing them on the coffee table before turning to them.
“Someone explain to me why Junghoon came to me this afternoon saying Yeosang was dead and that you lot killed him and several other Agents.”
My gaze stayed steady on Hongjoong’s, “Well, Joong?”
“How can we know that you aren’t working for them?”
Seonghwa was the one who spoke up, his demeanour cold as he stared at me, “Two year’s a long time. How can we know that you can be trusted?”
“Because the day I left KQ was the day I swore to never get back into this field. And you know me, Hwa. Unless it’s putting people I care about at risk; I would never come back here.”
Sensing the tension between me and Seonghwa, Hongjoong stepped around the sofa, motioning for everyone else to sit down.
Yunho picked up the polaroids I set down on the table, studying each of the intently, “These the files Junghoon showed you?”
“Yeah. I didn’t want to risk taking the folders with me.” I nodded, before turning my eyes back on Hongjoong. “Say something.”
Hongjoong ran a hand through his dark hair, debating what he should say, “KQ’s not what it was. A few months back, me and Jongho noticed that there were unfamiliar people going in and out of the building. More specifically the laboratories. Yeosang later found that the people were linked to the Ace Gang. KQ is doing business with the gang, providing them with weapons and substances. Every single person in KQ is a part of it. Except us.”
I nodded along, looking at the polaroids, “What about those bodies?”
“Those weren’t us. Well, other than the last one. When we found out, we questioned some of them, and managed to get some answers out of them. KQ must’ve found out and thought them as a liability so they killed them. They’re trying to get us framed as serial killers and gang members. That’s why we’re in hiding. And also, why we staged the last victim out to be Yeosang. It’ll make it easier for him to do stuff outside.”
I sat there, looking at each and every one of them, processing what Hongjoong just told me. Honestly, I could see it. When I left KQ, it was mainly because of the shift in dynamic within the organisation. They started being more secretive even though we were one of the best units they had. The tasks that we were given became more frequent and longer, making us spend weeks, sometimes even months on a mission. I have a suspicion that was when they started helping out the gang.
“Okay. So, what can I do? KQ sent me envelope this earlier today. They’re asking for me to help out with catching you guys.”
“What have you got on mind?” San was the one to speak. He was always the one who could see through me.
I looked up at them, a plan already forming in my head. It was like being part of the team again.
“I’m going to accept the offer.”
Seonghwa opened his mouth, about to say something, but I cut him short, “Let me finish. I’m going to accept the offer in the morning and be your person inside KQ.”
Seonghwa raised a brow, “Do you know how dangerous that could be for you?”
“Anything’s better than KQ and Ace working together.” My mind went back to everything I gathered about Ace since I left. “Ace have been getting too powerful. They’ve infiltrated the police, hospitals, everywhere. They’ve got people everywhere.”
Jongho looked at me, his eyes shining in silent laughter, “So this is what you’ve been up to, huh?”
“Old habits die hard. Plus, normal life gets a bit boring after years of constant adrenaline rushes. What’s better than some light investigating?”

Is part 4 of three calls answered; one call missed the last one?
Hiiii, technically, yes, for the main storyline, but I've got a couple of pieces that are basically an alternative ending. I'm just not sure when I'll have it out yet.

a/n I'm back!!! For real this time. I've finished my first year of uni and I'll have plenty of time to focus on writing until the end of september!!

Tying the apron around my waist, I turned to face the mirror as I pulled half of my hair up, making sure everything was out of my face before I opened the cafe for the day.
“Well, good morning, darling. I didn’t expect to see you today. I haven’t seen you in quite a while.”
Raising a brow, I shifted my eyes up to see Yunho leaning against the frame of the door with his arms crossed over his chest, a smirk ever so present on his face.
“What are you doing in? I thought Jongho was in today?”
It’s weird to be on the same shift with Yunho alone, our manager decided that it was best to put the two of us apart a month after I started working here because of how we were with each other. And even if we were on the same shift, there was another one of the boys with us.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like we don’t like each other, it’s just the fact that Yunho is very.... flirty, if you will. And I’m not exactly that comfortable with the amount of attention from him.
“He called in sick today.” Yunho made his way over to me, hanging up his coat before putting on one of the brown aprons. “I was the only one available, so I’m covering.”
Humming, I moved out of his way and made my way to the main area of the shop to the coffee machine, turning it on for the day. Allowing the water to flow through the machine for a minute, I let my eyes wander around the shop, landing on Yunho’s form as he walked out of the back room, shifting some of the chairs around. He had taken time to roll up the sleeves of his white button-up while he was in the back, the tattoos he had on his left arm on full display.
“I’d take a picture if I were you, darling. It’ll last longer.”
Huffing, I turned my attention back to the espresso machine, “Do you want something to drink before we open the shop?” Shifting my eyes up, my gaze darted from him to the table. “Also, that table in front of you is crooked, so if you could move it to the left a bit, it’d look great.”
Yunho took a small step back as he looked at the table in front of him, which was indeed crooked.
“Yeah, sure, um, an iced vanilla latte please, thank you, sweets.”
Pouring milk and vanilla syrup over the ice, I put a pinch of salt in the ground coffee before slotting it into the espresso machine, I learnt a long time ago that a bit of salt help to bring out the natural sweetness and balances out the bitterness in the coffee.
As Yunho made his way over to the counter, I wiped away to stray bits of ground coffee away from the counter.
“Do you do this every shift?”
Looking up briefly, I watched as he leaned against the counter, “Do what?”
“Make drinks before a shift. I thought San was the only one that did that.”
Pouring the espresso into the glass, I put a straw into it before handing it to Yunho.
“Hmm, there’s a reason San and I are rarely on the same shift. We both make sure everyone is hydrated through the day.”
Yunho picked the glass up, taking a sip from it before looking at me in surprise, “This is better than Sannie’s. How?”
Smiling, I busied with making the hot latte for myself, “That’s a secret that you just can’t know.”
Sighing, I slid my phone back into my pocket as I walked out of the break room.
The cafe was mostly empty, most people opting to takeaway instead of sitting in.
I walked up to Yunho behind the counter as he prepared some more takeaway cups.
“Your turn for lunch. I’ll finish this up for you.”
“Oh. Thank you. Could you do the coffee beans as well? We’re running a bit low.”
Nodding, I took over his task as he moved away from the counter. “Yeah, I’ll do that. Now go! Enjoy your lunch break!”
Yunho grinned as he walked into the back, “See you in half an hour princess.”
Staring at his retreating figure, I shook my head in disbelief. I genuinely cannot tell if he’s just like this with everyone or if he just wants to annoy me.
Putting our logo stickers onto the cups, I slowly made my way through the pile, occasionally serving a customer coffee.
Placing the cups into the holders, I opened the cupboard under the espresso machine for the coffee beans.
‘Ding’
Hearing the bell ring from above the door, I stood back up to serve the customer, the I froze slightly when I saw the person.
Putting a small smile on, I walked up to the till.
“Hi, what can I get you today?”
“Just a latte, like always. Thank you, darling.”
Trying not to gag, I put the order in and couldn’t help but think that I much preferred Yunho calling me that.
“Alright, that’s gone through. If you could just go to the end counter for your coffee, that’d be great.”
Moving behind the espresso machine, I quickly refilled the coffee beans before starting on the latte. Concentrating on the grinder, I tried not to think about the man currently leaning on the counter and staring at me. He was a man in his thirties with greasy hair that covered the sides of his face. He comes in every week for the same order but makes weird small talk and comments that just don’t sit right with me.
“You should have your hair pulled up more often. You’ve got a lovely neck.”
Taking a glance at him, I could see that he has now practically pressed his whole torso onto the counter.
Smiling awkwardly, I head the jug of milk against the steamer, “Yeah? Sorry, but could you -”
“Yeah. You should maybe start wearing a necklace as well, I’m sure it’ll make your neck even prettier.”
In a rush to make his coffee, I accidently blasted a jet of steam onto my wrist, causing me to wince and drop the towel I was using to clean the steamer.
The skin on the inside of my wrist was now bright red with the constant throbbing and burning sensation accompanying it.
I was just about to pick up the towel when Yunho stepped up beside me, gently pushing me to the side.
“I’ll finish making the coffee, darling, you go and put your arm under some cold water and put some ointment on.”
Nodding, I made my way into the back, trying to seem like I was rushing as I tried to get away from the guy.
Turning the tap on, I put my wrist under the cold water, sighing in content when the burning sensation subsided.
“So that’s the guy?”
“What?”
Confused, I turned to see Yunho leaning against the doorframe.
“The weird guy that makes creepy comments about you and makes you feel uncomfortable.”
“Yeah, that’s him. I don’t even know how he knows what shifts I work because they aren’t set.”
Turning off the tap, I grabbed a towel to dab away the water, before Yunho came up beside me, a tube of ointment in his hand.
“Why haven’t we got him banned yet?”
Watching Yunho’s slender fingers collect some of the gel and put on my wrist, I shook my head.
“Seonghwa and Hongjoong tried get him banned, but head office said it wasn’t that serious. On the bright side, they also said it causes something to happen then they’ll think about it.”
Yunho nodded as he screwed the top back on, “Do you want to take the rest of the day off? We’ve only -”
“It’s just a small burn, that I don’t even feel anymore. I’m fine to work Yunho.”
“No mum, I’m staying in tonight.”
Plopping down onto the sofa, I held my phone up, staring at my mother's face on the screen.
“Why? It’s a Friday night! You don’t have work tomorrow, go out with friends! Or on a date!”
Giving her a deadpan look, I shook my head, “Well, I originally planned to go out tonight with San and Yeosang but San landed himself in A&E so -”
‘Ding Dong’
Pausing mid-sentence, I looked at my mum before looking back, towards the corridor.
“Expecting someone?”
“Umm, no, I don’t know who that is. Give me a minute.”
With my mum still on the phone, I stood up and made my way to the door. Opening the door slightly, my eyes widened at the sight of the person stood there.
“Good evening, darling.”
Opening the door more, my eyes landed on the takeaway he held in his hand.
“What’re you doing here? I thought -”
“And who’s this young man?”
Looking down at the phone in my hand, I forgot that I was still on the phone with my mum.
Opening my mouth to reply, I was silenced by Yunho taking the phone from me and smiling brightly at my mum.
“Hello, I’m Yunho.” He lifted the bags in his hand at the phone. “Just here to have dinner with Y/N.”
Staring blankly at Yunho, I tried to comprehend the situation before me.
“Oh! But Y/N was just saying that -”
Plucking my phone out of Yunho’s hand, I sent my mum a small smile, “Mum, I’m gonna hang up now, I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Okay, enjoy your date. Love you.”
“Love you too.”
Hanging up the call, I turned back to Yunho, who had made himself comfortable against my wall.
“Okay, what’re you doing here?”
Yunho stood up a bit straighter as he shrugged, “I just told your mum, I’ve brought dinner for us.”
“Why?”
“Because San and Yeosang texted me. They thought you’d feel a bit lonely, since the three of you have this routine every Friday.”
I looked from him to the takeaway, back to him again.
“Is that -”
“From the Indonesian restaurant on the corner next to the train station.”
Well, I can’t say no to that now, can I?
“Are you gonna let me in or what?” Yuho raised a brow at my space-out state.
“Fine. Come in.”
I stepped aside from the doorway, taking the food from him as he took his shoes off.
“How’s that burn doing anyway, sweetheart?”
Taking the food out of the bag and placing it on the kitchen island, I looked up to see Yunho perched across from me, leaning his elbows on the wood.
“It’s fine, barely notice it. Now, question though. How do you know about the Indonesian restaurant?”
“San and Yeosang mentioned it.”
Placing a couple of plates and cutlery in front of us, I wasn’t too surprised at his answer. Know those two, they probably told him to get the food from there or else I’d say no.
Quietly eating our dinner, I glanced up at Yunho every now and then. In place of the white shirt and black slacks were a black shirt and black jeans, paired with a leather jacket that was thrown over the back of my sofa.
Finishing off the last bit of food, I stood up from the kitchen stool, stretching my back out a bit, earning a chuckle from Yunho.
Raising a brow, I looked to him, “What?”
He shook his head as he got up from his place, “Nothing, darling.”
Frowning, I watched as he gathered up the plates, “You know, I can’t tell if you’re like this with everyone or not.”
He out the dishes in the sink for me, before turning around, “Like what?”
“The nicknames and the flirting. I can’t tell if it’s just how you are or what.”
Yunho took a couple of steps towards me, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips, “Oh, sweetheart, I’m not like this to everyone. Can you actually not tell?”
“What?”
“That I like you and I want to take you out on a date.”
Blinking owlishly at him, “You what now?”
Yunho let out a small laugh, “I want to take you out on a date. What’d you say.”
Looking at him, I could see the nervousness in his eyes, which told me that he does actually mean it.
“Yeah, okay. I’ll go on a date with you”
Maybe it was the way answered it, but Yunho still seemed nervous, “You don’t have to say yes. It’s not gonna make work weird if you say no, I mean we barely -”
“Yunho,” I took a step forward, placing a hand on his tattooed arm, trying to stop his rambling. “I’m saying yes because I want to.”
Yunho broke out into a grin, “Okay! I’ll send you the detail?”
Nodding, I walked Yunho to the door, “Yeah.”
Once he had his shoes and jacket back on, I held open the door for him.
“Right, I better get going now, see you soon.”
Yunho quickly leaned down, and pressed a soft kiss on my cheek, before turning to walk to his car.
Surprised, I watched as he walked away, a slight bounce in his steps. Honestly, behind all the dark clothes and tattoos, he’s a puppy.
“So, how’d it go on Friday?”
Looking up from the mirror, I saw Yeosang lean against the breakroom table.
“Hmmm?” Concentrating on putting my hair up, my brain wasn’t quite processing Yeosang’s question.
“How’d it go with Yunho on Friday.”
Trying to not grin, I nodded, “Good, he was good company.”
Wooyoung entered through the back door, doing a double take when he saw me, “Why’re you so happy at 6 o’clock in the morning.”
“What?”
Wooyoung waved a hand at my face, “Your face is way too happy for this time of the morning. Why?”
My eyes went from Wooyoung to Yeosang, who had a raised brow as if to say ‘do tell’.
“Well,” turning back to the mirror to straighten out my shirt, “I’ve got a date Saturday night.”
Wooyoung let out a screech, while Yeosang looked smug.
“What? Who? How? When? WHO?”
In a blink of an eye, Wooyoung was next to, bouncing on his feet like an overexcited toddler.
“Come on. Tell me. Please.”
“Yunho asked me out on Friday when San had to go to the A&E.”
Yeosang took out his phone, as he made his way out the back door, “I’ve got to tell San about this. He lost the bet.”
Staring at his back in disbelief, “Yeosang!”
Unbelievable. Leave it to these two to bet on my love life.
“Okay. Give me the details.”

“Hongjoong, will you stop pacing?” Exasperated, I stood in front of him, blocking his path. “You’ve made my floorboards at least 3 shades lighter. Now can you please tell me why you’ve barged into my house at 3 o’clock in the morning with the intention of putting a dent in my living room floor?”
“Okay, so, remember that little trip we have with some of the boys on Saturday?”
Curling back into the corner of the sofa, I nodded, “Yeah, what about it?”
Hongjoong smiled awkwardly as he inched away from me, “Well, um, some of the boys has turned into all of the boys.”
Raising a brow, I sent him a look, “Okay? Why are you getting so worked up about that?”
“It means Wooyoung’s gonna be there as well.”
“So?”
Hongjoong frowned as he looked at me, “You’re alright with Wooyoung being there?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Standing up, I made my way back into my bedroom, Hongjoong trailing behind me as he turned off the lights.
“I - uh- I just, you two have a love-hate relationship going on, just thought that you might want to get away from all that while you're trying to relax.”
Pulling my duvet back, I paused before looking up at Hongjoong, who was leaning against the wall, “Wha-? Why would you think that?”
Slipping into bed, I looked at Hongjoong as he made his way to the door.
“You two bicker. A lot. Every time you see each other, you bicker. Doesn't it get tiring sometimes?”
“It’s just how we are. I mean, yes, he knows how to get on my nerves, and can sometimes not know when to stop talking, but he’s a good b- a good friend. I wouldn't change it for anything.”
Turning my back to him, I reached my hand out and turned off the lights.
"You know where the guest rooms are, now goodnight, Joong."
I watched as Hongjoong slid into the passenger side of the car before I looked at Wooyoung in the backseat grinning.
Leaning down next to Hongjoong's window, I raised a brow at both him and Seonghwa, "You two do know that you've just assigned yourselves a death sentence by putting Wooyoung and I in the same car, right?"
Sliding into the seat next to Wooyoung, I watched as Seonghwa adjusted the rear-view mirror before backing out the driveway with a nod, "Yeah, yeah, just don't bicker the whole way there or else I'm gonna be throwing one of you out."
Casting a glance at Wooyoung, I nodded, "As long as he knows when to shut up, we'll be fine Hwa."
Wooyoung pouted, putting a hand on his chest dramatically as he leaned over to me, "How could you say that about me?"
Rolling my eyes, I pushed his face away from mine, "Oh, hush, ask anyone in our friend group what your favourite pastime is and they'll say trying to rile me up."
I could see him nod in my peripheral vision, "True, I like seeing you all riled up, you get all pouty and it's cute."
Making a sound from the back of my throat, I turned to look at him, "I don't pout when I'm annoyed."
Wooyoung was about to say something when Hongjoong cut in, "You do. You furrow your brows and then start pouting."
Looking over to Seonghwa, I saw him nod along, "Yeah, they're right." Stopping at a red light, he glanced back at me and grinned, "You're doing it right now."
Pausing, I realised that, yes, I was indeed pouting.
Running a hand over my face, I glared at the three men laughing at me, "Why are you guys ganging up on me today?"
I felt Wooyoung put his hand on top of my head as he ruffled up my hair, "Because it's fun."
Swatting his hand away, I tried to smooth down my hair, "Stop it. I just washed my hair this morning, and if it gets all frizzy because you did that, you and I are gonna have a talk, pretty boy."
Chuckling, Wooyoung pushed my hands out of the way before running his own over my hair, "Your hair's fine sweetheart."
I could see Hongjoong share a confused look with Seonghwa before he glanced back at us. Ignoring it, I chose to concentrate on my phone.
Replying to the messages Mingi sent me, I felt a presence next to me. Turning my head to the side, I frowned when I noticed Wooyoung's face right next to mine.
Glancing up at Hongjoong and Seonghwa, I kept my voice low, "What are you doing?"
"Quick question."
Feeling his lips brush the shell of my ear, I leaned back slightly, "What is it? And can you please quit breathing down my neck, it tickles."
Wooyoung chuckled slightly, "Whatever you say. I just wanted to ask if we're telling them tonight?"
"Yeah?" Turning my head to look at him, "When else are we gonna tell them? I don't think you can keep your hands to yourself for two days, Woo."
Wooyoung smirked, amusement dancing in his eyes as he thought of something, "Hmm, I definitely won't be able to."
Arriving at the holiday house late in the afternoon, everyone had just about enough time to settle into their rooms before our dinner would arrive.
Exiting the bathroom, I noticed Wooyoung sitting in my bed, mindlessly scrolling through his phone.
Making my way over, I sat down next to him, "And to what do I owe this pleasure?"
Grinning, Wooyoung put his phone down and wrapped an arm around me, pulling me closer, "Just came to see how my pretty baby's doing."
Scrunching up my nose at the nickname, I let out a small chuckle, "I should be the one asking you that. You're the one that's been scared to tell them."
Tightening his arm around my waist, Wooyoung nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck, "That's only because I'm afraid one of them is gonna castrate me. They're all like overprotective brothers and it's scary."
Wiggling out of his arms, I stood up from the bed, holding a hand out to him, "Come on, let's go down, they're probably already in the kitchen."
Wooyoung latched on to my hand, pulling me out of the bedroom and downstairs. As we rounded the corner to the kitchen, we paused when we heard Hongjoong talking.
In the kitchen, the rest of the boys were setting up the table ready for dinner as Hongjoong and Seonghwa took the food off the serving carts, "No, but something felt strange between them. Hwa, back me up here."
Seonghwa set the last plate on the table with a shrug, "Yeah, they were acting a bit weird. I mean, they were still bickering, but also, like, flirting."
Everyone looked at Hongjoong and Seonghwa in disbelief as Yeosang let out a laugh, "I'm sorry, flirting? Those two? Okay, Wooyoung might come off a bit flirty at times, but that's because he's Wooyoung. It's not like Y/N flirts back."
Hongjoong simply nodded, leaning against the kitchen island, "Yeah, that's what normally happens, but Y/N called him 'pretty boy' today."
Sharing a look with Wooyoung, I could see the amusement dancing in his eyes. Shaking my head, I entered the kitchen with Wooyoung following behind me.
"And what are we talking about?"
The sound of my voice startled them as they whipped their heads towards us.
Jongho's eyes flickered between Wooyoung and I before glaring at Wooyoung when he caught something in his expression, "No."
I felt Wooyoung snake an arm around me, grinning up at Jongho, "I'm gonna have to say, yes."
Jongho threw his head back as he let out a groan, "Ugh, we're gonna have to deal with you two bickering AND flirting?" Jongho made his way to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of beer, "This is going to be a long weekend, beer anyone?"
The others looked at each other before Mingi broke the silence, "Uh, anyone want to fill us in?"
Running a hand over my face, I grinned awkwardly at them, "We're dating?"
Turning on the reading lamp, I picked up my book as I waited for Wooyoung to finish in the bathroom.
"Well," Flinching slightly, I was startled by Wooyoung's sudden entrance, "That went better than I expected."
Looking up, I watched as Wooyoung exited the bathroom, the lettering at the base of his neck and the serpent that curled at his shoulder blade on display.
"Really?" Putting the book down, I arched an eyebrow as he slid in next to me. "What did you think would happen?"
Once Wooyoung was comfortable against the headboard, I sat up, opting to staddle Wooyoung with my arms wrapped around his neck as his hands found purchase on my waist.
"Definitely didn't think Hongjoong was going to point a wooden spoon at me and threaten to hunt me down with one of his easels."
Laughing, I couldn't help but envision Hongjoong chasing Wooyoung with an easel, "What would he even accomplish? Those things are heavy!"
Sliding one of my hands down, I traced the tattoo over his chest as the other played with the hairs on the nape of his neck.
Wooyoung picked up the hand on his chest and raised it up to his lips, pressing a kiss at the pulse point, "What's going through that pretty little head of yours, hmm?"
Chewing on the inside of my cheek, I raised my eyes to meet his, a shy expression taking over my face, "I wanna get a tattoo."
Wooyoung's eyebrows shot up as he looked up at me in surprise, "Yeah? I thought you were afraid of needles."
Humming, I felt Wooyoung's hands slip under my shirt, his thumbs rubbing circles on my hips, "I am, but I want to get one and maybe a few more piercings."
Wooyoung grinned as he nuzzled into the side of my face, lips brushing against my cheek, "Want me to do them for you, pretty?"
Pulling back slightly, I looked at him, "Please?"
Wooyoung pressed a kiss on my lips, leaning his forehead against mine, "Let's talk about this tomorrow. I'll book you in when the new shop opens."
Wooyoung's arms tightened around me, pulling me flush against his chest as his lips found their way down the column of my neck.
“Please tell me you’re joking.”
Turning my head to glance at Hongjoong, I took a step closer to him as we made our way down the street.
“What?” I shrugged, turning to face ahead. “I’ve wanted to get a tattoo for ages. Plus, I want to get a couple more piercings, so, why not?”
Hongjoong looked at me in disbelief, “You’re terrified of needles. You can’t even get a shot without getting all anxious, and you think you can sit through being jabbed continuously with one?”
I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at his words, “You’re exaggerating, I’m just not too fond of needles, that’s all.”
Hongjoong moved to hook an arm with mine, “Hmmm. When are you getting it done?”
Glancing at the watch on my wrist, I looked at him with a sheepish smile, “My appointment’s in about 10 minutes, so, um let's hurry up.”
Hongjoong paused for a second before pinching my arm, “You could’ve told me sooner!”
“Yeah, well, uh, we’re here.”
Stopping in front of a glass door, Hongjoong squinted up at the sign above.
“This is Wooyoung and San’s new shop.”
“It is.”
Pushing the door open, Hongjoong and I walked in, taking a seat as San handed me a couple pieces of paper to look through.
“You chose Wooyoung over ME?” Hongjoong whined as he looked at me with a pout.
Not even looking up, I shook my head, "As much as I love you, Joong, the tattoos that you do are too.... extravagant for my taste."
Signing the last piece of paper, I handed them to San before looking at Hongjoong, "Are you staying out here with San?"
Seeing him nod, I stood up and made my way to the last room down the corridor, where Wooyoung's workstation was.
Pushing the door open, I saw Wooyoung moving around the room, getting everything ready for the tattoo. Upon hearing the door creak open, he looked up, a smile making its way across his face when he saw me.
Closing the door behind me, I let Wooyoung wrap his arms around me and press a kiss on my temple.
"Nervous?"
Nodding against him, I stepped back, placing my bag and jacket on the chair next to the door.
"Of course I am."
Wooyoung gave me a soft smile as he motioned me over to the workbench, "Come on, I'll do your piercings first."
Settling down, I clipped my hair back as Wooyoung put his gloves on.
"You want two more helix piercings, yeah? Same ear?"
Nodding, I watched as Wooyoung took a marker out, marking the positions of the piercings in my left ear before setting it down and taking a sterile needle out. Screwing my eyes closed, I turned my head to the side as I held onto the sides of Wooyoung's shirt as he slotted himself between my legs.
Hearing Wooyoung countdown quietly, I let out a small breath before wincing as the needle went through.
"Alright, one more to go."
Once the second one went through, I slowly let go of Wooyoung's shirt, smoothing down the wrinkles as Wooyoung changed out the needles for studs.
Turning to look at him, Wooyoung gave me an encouraging smile as he ran his hand up and down my thighs.
"Ready for the tattoo, pretty?"
Seeing me nod, Wooyoung stepped back from me to prepare his tattoo gun, "You're gonna have to take off your shirt and bra, babe."
Unbuttoning my shirt, I slid it off my shoulders before unhooking my bra. Turning on the bench, I leaned my back against the seat with an arm covering myself.
Wooyoung snapped on a pair of fresh gloves before seating himself on the stool next to me to start prepping my skin, "Ready?"
Casting a nervous side glance, I smiled, "Definitely."
Wooyoung pressed a quick kiss on my cheek before turning on the tattoo gun. Hearing the buzz fill the room, my body tensed slightly, before relaxing under Wooyoung's touch.
Feeling the needle prick my skin, I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. The tattoo was a simple chrysanthemum design on the side of my ribs, and it didn't take long to complete.
Wiping away the excess ink, Wooyoung leaned back to have a better look before tilting his head towards the mirror, "Go on, take a look before I wrap it."
Hoping off the bench, I made my way to the side of the room where the mirror was.
Scanning my eyes over the design, I smiled, "This is good."
Chuckling, Wooyoung made his way over to me with a bandage in hand, "Of course it does! I did it!"
Chuckling, I waited until Wooyoung finished whatever it was that he needed to do, before turning around and wrapping my arms around his neck, pressing a kiss on his lips, "Thank you."
"My pleasure, pretty. But why a chrysanthemum?"
Smiling, I let go of him and went over to the bench to slip my shirt back on, "It's the birth flower for November."
Putting my bra into my bag, I turned to see Wooyoung standing at his workstation with a disinfectant spray in hand with a surprised expression, "Oh? So, it's for me then?"
Shaking my head, a fond smile made its way across my face, "I was born in November too, pretty boy."
Wooyoung wiped down the remaining bit of the workstation before walking out the door with me, my bag and jacket in hand.
"Yeah, but I'd much rather think it's for me."
Laughing, I paused slightly when we entered the reception area, "Uh, where are San and Hongjoong?"
Wooyoung picked up a sticky note from behind the reception desk, "Well, they've left already. You were the last one of the day."
Looking out the window, I noticed that it was raining pretty heavily outside.
"Did you drive here, babe?"
Wooyoung handed me my jacket before taking his off the clothing rack by the door, "Yeah, it's parked down the street."
Exiting the shop, Wooyoung locked to door before turning to me, placing his jacket over the top of our heads, "Dinner at mine?"
Seeing me nod, we both darted out into the rain and ran towards his car.
Reaching the car, Wooyoung quickly unlocked it allowing me to slide into the passenger side, shaking my arms slightly.
Wooyoung got into the seat beside me, shaking his head slightly to get rid of some of the water particles in there.
Turning on the car ignition, Wooyoung turned to me, smiling, "What? You're staring, pretty."
Taking his hand, I pressed a kiss on the back of it, "I love you."
Wooyoung's hand tightened its hold on mine before letting go to tilt my head towards him. He leaned over the centre console, one of his hands finding its way to the back of my head as his lips found mine.
"I love you too."

Looking around, I noticed that I was no longer in the comfort of my own home but instead, standing in the middle of a dark forest.
“What. The. Hell.”
Making my way through the thick growth of trees, I halted to a stop at the sound of howling.
‘Crunch’
Snapping my head to the left, my eyes widened at the sight before me. Three large creatures stood tall. Their eyes were crimson, fangs barred as saliva dripped down their chins.
Looking down, a grimace made its way across my face as my eyes zoned in on the decapitated head in the hands of one of them. It was Hongjoong’s.
Cautiously, I took a couple of steps towards them, stopping when I could hear what they were saying.
“We can’t let them get the head.”
I watched, slightly mortified, as Hongjoong’s head was tossed into the air like a ball.
“No, we can’t.” The one holding the head grinned manically. “Not when they have killed our brothers.”
Hongjoong's head was tossed between their hands.
“We must find shelter. Before they track us down.”
Trailing behind them, I followed until they stopped at a small clearing, watching as they huddled together, probably deciding to stay there.
I glanced around my surroundings, taking note of the beds of small, bell-shaped flowers and red berries. I took a step forward to get a closer look before I felt something pull me away.
Snapping my eyes open, I let out a groan at the sudden brightness, my arm immediately covering my eyes as I got used to the light.
Several pairs of rushed footsteps made their way towards me as I felt a hand on the top of my head.
“Oh, thank gods.” I heard Wooyoung let out a sigh of relief. “Are you okay? How are you feeling? Wait. Don’t answer that. You almost gave me a heart attack when you fainted. I thought that -”
Removing my arm, I glanced at Wooyoung, who knelt beside me, “Woo, please stop talking. Your rambling is giving me a headache.”
Wooyoung gave me a sheepish smile as he helped me sit up on the couch.
Glancing around me, I noticed all of them staring at me, worry evident in their eyes.
Clearing my throat, I noticed the absence of San, Yunho and a certain ‘ghost’.
“Where are San, Yunho and Hongjoong?”
“They’re in the office upstairs. Talking.” Seonghwa placed a mug of camomile tea in my hands. “Drink this. It’ll make you feel better.”
Sipping on the tea, I gradually felt the tension leave my shoulders.
“Thanks, Seonghwa. I think I’m going to head upstairs. I want to talk to Hongjoong about something.”
“What is it?”
Slightly startled, I glared up at the blond man who appeared before me.
“Can you not! I’m still wrapping my head around this whole supernatural thing. You appearing out of thin air is not helping!”
Hongjoong chuckled softly as I felt hands on my shoulders, slightly massaging them.
“Sorry, I just heard you say my name. What’s up?”
Looking back, I noticed San and Yunho had joined us. Giving them a small smile, I turned back to look at Hongjoong.
“I think I found your head.”
He blinked owlishly at me, quirking an eyebrow, “You what?”
“Wait a second.” I looked up to Yunho. “We know where the head is, well, who it’s with anyway. San and I went for it earlier but -”
Cutting him off, I shook my head, “Yeah, I got that, but I know where the head is now. Where they brought it after your attack.”
Looking at their faces, I could see the apprehension in their eyes and sighed, “When I walked up the stairs, my eyes landed on the picture of a forest and then I fainted, yes?” Seeing them nod, I carried on. “When I fainted, I had a, um, a vision? Of some sort. I saw where the three werewolves went after Yunho and San tried to, uh, to get the head back.”
Setting down the mug on the coffee table, I stood up and made my way up into the attic, ignoring them telling me to slow down.
“They decided to camp at a small clearing in the forest, not sure where exactly but -”
“How useful.”
Hearing Jongho’s small mutter, I sent him a glare before looking through the bookshelves for a specific journal.
“Anyways, there were a lot of Lily of the Valley around. I remember one of the journals mentioning that there was an abundance of them somewhere in the forest. If I could just find that journal, then we’d know the exact location of the clearing.”
Spotting the black journal, I plucked it out and quickly flipped through the pages, stopping when I saw a drawing of the flower and berries.
Eyes scanning the page, I pointed to the exact coordinates of the clearing, “Here.”
Flipping the journal around, I showed the coordinates to the others.
“Okay,” Yunho looked up, nodding to Yeosang. “Yeo and I will head over there now.”
“Don’t.” Quickly putting a hand on Yunho’s shoulder, I shook my head. “Go tomorrow evening. The remaining three of the pack are tense. They’re on high alert right now. You need to wait.”
Yeosang opened his mouth to protest, but I held a hand up, “Tomorrow. It’s too dangerous right now.”
Ignoring everyone else, I held onto Seonghwa and Wooyoung’s arms, pulling them down the stairs.
“You guys rest or whatever it is you do at this time of night. I have something I want to go over with these two in the basement.”
Once we reached the round table, I let go of their arms and just stared at the table.
“Ahem,” Hearing Seonghwa clear his throat, I turned my head towards him. “Why are Woo and I here?”
I shook my head, before looking at the shelf filled with jars.
“I want to do something. This is giving me a sense of déjà vu right now. And it’s not the good type.”
Browsing the shelf, I plucked out a jar of black talc, dragon’s blood, frankincense, myrrh and salt.
Placing them on the table, I grabbed a couple of empty sachets from the side of the table as Wooyoung and Seonghwa looked at the jars.
Wooyoung picked up the jar of dragon’s blood and turned to me, “What are you going to do?”
Shrugging, I started to mix the ingredients in a ceramic bowl, “I don’t know. Working on a feeling right now.”
Recognition flashed through Seonghwa’s eyes as he watched me carefully add a few drops of dragon’s blood to the powder.
“You’re making a protection ward, you used t-” Cutting himself off, Seonghwa shook his head. “It’s a protection ward. It creates a barrier between the person using it and the person with bad intentions. As long as there is no gap in the powder scattered around, the barrier will stay intact.”
Putting the powder into the separate sachets, I nodded, “Hmm, but why do I know this? It’s not like I’ve had a crash course for witchcraft.”
Letting out a yawn, I put the filled sachets on the table.
“Let's head to bed, we have a busy day tomorrow.”
Moving back, I looked between the two, “Are you two staying down here or?”
“We’ll stay. Wooyoung and I want to make a couple things for them tomorrow.”
Nodding tiredly, I pressed a kiss on both Seonghwa and Wooyoung’s cheeks before my brain could even register what I was doing.
Blinking, I could feel heat rush to my face, “So, um – I don’t - I’m just gonna –Goodnight!”
Rushing up the stairs, I missed the way their eyes trailed my figure. Emotions that they had to push down for so long, forcing their way back to the surface.
Lying on the bed, my mind kept replaying my actions in the basement. The kiss I pressed on their cheeks. The action felt so familiar, it felt like a habit, something that I had done millions of times in the past. But that wasn’t possible, was it?
Groaning, I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes, willing myself to fall asleep and forget how out of character I was.
Running a hand through my hair, I watched as Yunho and Yeosang made their way down the stairs.
“You two ready?”
Seeing them nod, I pulled out the sachets from my pocket and handed them one each.
Yeosang peered into the contents of it, “What’s this?”
“Protection ward. Scatter it around you when you need it, prevents people with bad intentions from harming you.” Pacing around, I started rambling a bit. “Also, I know you guys are very skilled, but please be careful. Those werewolves are very angry, they’re still shifted. Make sure you’re aware of your surroundings and have each oth -”
Feeling someone hold onto my shoulders, I halted to a stop. Looking up, I was met with Yeosang smiling down at me.
“Relax. This isn’t the first time we’ve gone hunting. We know what we’re doing.”
Nodding, I let out a small breath, “I gathered, but this is the first time I am seeing you off or whatever. I don’t know why but I, once again, am feeling a great sense of déjà vu, which makes absolutely no sense.”
Waving at the two, I ushered them out the door, “Go and get Hongjoong’s head, yeah? And please come back unscathed.”
I watched as the two retreated into the woods surrounding the manor, closing the door once they were nowhere in sight.
Yeosang and Yunho carefully trudged through the forest, eyes ahead as they concentrated on the sounds surrounding them.
Slowing, Yeosang lifted a finger up to his ear, indicating Yunho to listen. The faint sound of twigs snapping drifted through the air. The two vampires immediately reached to their backs, holding onto the handles of their swords as they stood back-to-back.
“Well look what we have here.” A voice broke through from their left.
“They think they can just take the head, after what they did to our brothers.” Another from their right.
Yeosang sank his left hand into his back pocket, quickly grasping some of the protection powder from the sachet. He and Yunho slowly moved in a circle, scattering the powder around them.
‘Bang’
The last werewolf launched at them, only for the ward to throw him back. The other two let out growls at the sight of one of their own being thrown back.
“Look,” Yunho started, “Just give us the head, and we’ll be on our way.”
The one thrown back stalked his way over to the barrier, growling.
“Now, why would we do that? After what you did yesterday?”
Magenta flickered through Yunho’s eyes as he stared at the werewolf, a scowl etched on his face.
“After what WE did? You were the one who started this Garett. YOU were the one that broke the pact when you allied with the Faeries.”
A chuckle erupted from Garett as he started to circle Yunho and Yeosang.
“You guys think you’re so powerful, huh? So strong? Having a Circe descendant on your side. Being her bitches. Too bad she doesn’t remember who you are. Maybe I could get her to -”
With a blink of an eye, Yeosang had Garett pinned to a tree by his throat as Yunho held back the other two. Their eyes shining magenta.
“Don’t you EVER talk about her like that.”
Garett simply smirked up at Yeosang, “You really are her bitches. All of you.”
Yeosang hissed at him as he pulled out a blade, “You’re gonna wish you stopped talking real soon, bud.”
Pacing around in the living room, I chewed at my lips as the rest of the boys were scattered through the house.
“Will you stop pacing? You’re giving me a headache here.” Jongho groaned as he stood up from the couch, reaching for my shoulders and pulling me into him. “Relax, they’re more than capable to deal with a few werewolves. Also, they can’t die, remember. So, calm down, αγάπη μου.”
Melting into his embrace, I let out a deep breath before stepping away from him.
“Okay, how long does it normally take for -”
“We’ve got the head!”
Hearing the door shut and footsteps coming our way, I turned my head to the archway, face contorting in disgust when I caught sight of Yunho and Yeosang.
“Please tell me none of that’s your blood.”
The two were truly a sight. They were covered in blood, not a single patch of skin was clean.
“Don’t worry, it was theirs.” Yunho shook his free hand around before handing Hongjoong’s head to Seonghwa. “You might wanna clean that before you put it on the table downstairs. It's got a bit of blood, saliva and mud on it.”
Seonghwa grimaces as he took out a pair of gloves from his pocket.
“You two look like you took a bath in their blood.”
Watching Seonghwa leave, my attention went back to the two dripping blood everywhere.
“Why don’t you two take a shower first, you’re getting blood all over the new carpet I bought.”
Yeosang and Yunho made their way upstairs, as Hongjoong appeared beside me.
“So,” I raised a hand to put on Hongjoong’s shoulder, even though I knew it would probably go through him. “What’s the next step?”
Pausing, my gaze met Hongjoong’s before they landed on the hand that was resting on his shoulder, “And why hasn’t my hand gone through you?”
