something that needs to be addressed is that not only is taylor swift not using her power for good but also swifties. hear me out okay...

ever since taylor and travis announced their engagement, literally EVERY single brand out there made some sort of post promoting their product using the taylor x travis engagement. brands like poppi, torani, the NFL, google, chipotle, tiktok, krispy kreme literally gave out FREE donuts?!????!!!

so you can't sit here and tell me taylor swift and her fanbase doesn't have any influence on the world. swifties have literally engaged (pun intended) with these posts and promos but instead should ignore these pathetic capitalist companies and brands that are just trying to profit off their favorite capitalist musician. some of these brands have CEO's who openly support zionism and trump btw!!!!

and THEN...you have fuckass travis kelce collaborating with AMERICAN EAGLE??? HELLO??? did we not learn enough from the sydney sweeney debacle??? and swifties are acting like travis is totally fine for collaborating with a company like AE that promotes blue eyes blonde hair and has a super problematic CEO??? they're seriously saying "oH thAtS kiLLa TrAv" y'all are so fucking annoying.

and let me add one more point that y'all are not getting, taylor swift helped generate approx $1 billion in brand value for the NFL. the NFL is extremely problematic. like they literally have a direct correlation with the US military and at a time like this where the US is aiding israel in the war against gaza you know thats fucked up. and who helped do that? SWIFTIESSSSSS y'all engaged so much with the NFL on social media alone and by watching those chiefs games that you basically helped aid the NFL and the US military. great, kudos to y'all.

and one final point, when the whole matty healy situation happened and #speakuptaylor was trending. instead of taylor taking accountability for her actions by dating his problematic ass, she made a song "but daddy i love him" and basically she doesn't give a fuck about everyones opinions and y'all just...ate...it up?

and also, since the engagement news broke, swifties have been attacking joe alwyn left and right calling him "jobless" and saying he couldn't afford a ring like that. like..and it's so sad that he came out of the break up by saying nothing but good things about her and taylor didn't even take a moment to address swifties by saying don't attack him and instead used the break-up to promote ttpd which was also about matty. AND during speak now tv she explicity said to the crowd that the album release isnt so that her fandom could go and attack anyone (she was basically saying don't go after john mayer, an underaged predator) but couldn't defend joe? who handled the very public break-up in a private way and always responded positively to any questions about her? hell, he didn't even unfollow her on instagram because all hell would break loose if that happened.

swifites have defended taylor's lack of care for the climate, her silence during a genocide, her lack of political awareness, her hanging out with MAGA's, and so much more. you guys HAVE to speak out. it's OKAY to admit your fave is problematic btw. have a moral compass especially during times like these!
