A trend from instagram, tho i’m pretty proud of it so i’m sharing it here too :D explanation below
They both were created for the ulterior motive of bioengineering some kind of supersoldier baby; made by their fathers (Endeavor/Draxum) who trafficked/kidnapped their other parent (Rei/Splinter) who are now mentally unwell because of it. So I tried to do smth with that.
I think Todoroki having to confront his own past of only having an abusive mockery of a marriage as reference for how romantic partners act could be interesting to watch him think about.
I don't think he would turn into his father, quite the opposite, I think him being in a loving, healthy relationship would give him quite a new perspective to retrospect on his parent's quirk marriage (which he's known for years is abusive) and probably even dredge up some new emotions on how messed up it was.
I like to think Don would absolutely hate Endeavor's guts (as the guy who is always there when Tdrki is confronting his hardest emotions about his past, since his status as Tdrki's partner would be the catalyst in this scenario?) but would try his absolute hardest to behave for the sake of Tdrki's wishes haha.
Don often is quite overbearing when he tries to be helpful. But they have that autistic synergy together, they'll get through it.
I can respect the way Endeavor's atonement arc was written regarding just Endeavor himself, but Todoroki's trauma (specifically the way it still affects his behavior and mind internally, not just with Touya/ Dabi as a metaphor for his past) was really just tossed aside which I dislike.
MHA as a whole really lacks the emotional introspection its writing desperately needs, it drives me batty.
Sorry for putting actual media analysis under posts like this but if i have to deal with these thoughts then so does everyone else lol
