Punctuating Dialogue

I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.

Like… if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you’re a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.

The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.

I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success… I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.

i’m back and rambling about beidou again! last time i sent an ask about beidou getting hurt, but what about reader? honestly reader is the more responsible one out of the two and the only injuries that they would get in beidou’s presence would probably be small scrapes or cuts while helping aboard the crux. even so, beidou usually takes reader aside and helps them bandage the ‘injuries’. if the cuts and scrapes are a little worse than usual, then beidou will gently take the injured (1/2) -🪶

no cause- no thoughts, head empty, but Beidou kissing Reader's hands :( not only when they're injured, just in general

I reckon when they were not dating yet (and still now as theyre dating obviously), Beidou always held their hand to steady them when they were getting on board of the ship :((

In fanfiction, either of you often visits the others and you dwell on childhood memories and feelings that have once been there. Usually either Kaeya, Diluc or Jean try to wingman you!

All in all, a really amazing ship that is way too under appreciated!!

Albedo

Reader is a well known Liyuan alchemist that works in Bubu Pharmacy alongside Qiqi and Baizhu.

They've been very interested in medicine and how to use alchemy to heal and help people, which has soon become their greatest passion.

Of course, people have soon started shipping the both of you because of the potential a relationship between you has!!!

Either one of you asking the other for help with an experiment and working on it together to study the ways of life and healing!

While the players haven't actually seen you two interact in game yet, one of Albedo's voice lines about you can already be seen in the menu, however it can only be unlocked after a quest, which is not out yet, so the players are really looking forward to it!

Many people actually ship you two (and sometimes even with Sucrose too) so there's lots of content!

Seeing as you aren't playable yet and will only be playable in a future update, people are already farming for you so they can put you two in a team <3

No worries, just happy I could help. I know what its like to be like "is this normal???" And that anxiety haha. My parents both have done like, first aid classes so they know certain things and have taught me and ny sister alot of them. And I've had my fair share of injuries so I know alot of things like that.

Though go figure. I only realised this year that I have a chronic illness. So psa for everyone: a normal amount of daily pain.. is no pain. If you are in any sort of daily pain/discomfort, seek help for it. And look up a painscale, cus the numbers have actual meanings that you can use to describe it. 👍

sadly, in regards to injuries or anything like that, I'm as clueless as ever lol

only thing I know is how to do cpr cause my teacher taught us in middle school

we're on a hiiighway to helllllll highway to hellll (love that song btw, one of my favorites)

oh and update to the bruise: a few days ago it has become really worse and walking hurt a liiittle but now it's all good and it's also barely rainbow colored anymore (I'm losing my gay knee, I'm devastated 😔)

Hello 👁v👁 so I'm a dumbass it's 2am and I went out to the kitchen for snacks and I didn't turn on any of my lights because I didn't wanna disturb anyone. And I don't like wearing my glasses even though I barely can see without them so yeah I went to the kitchen almost completely blind. I found oreos but I couldn't open them so I was looking around in my drawer and found a knife. So I like to open things with a knife so yknow I just stabbed the packaging to try to open it. Bear in mind, it's completely dark, I wasn't wearing my glasses and I had to kinda bend down closer to see. I thought to myself "lol if my parents saw me they would probably be yelling at me to use scissors but it doesn't matter bc I won't cut myself"– I cut myself. AND I WAS JUST LAUGHING ABOUT IT THEN LOOKED AWAY TO PUT DOWN THE KNIFE AND THEN THE NEXT TIME I KNEW BLOOD WAS ALL OVER MY PALMS LMAO

here again with more food. beidou doesn’t get hurt that often, and certainly doesn’t get hurt often at all when reader is there, mostly because they're both on best behaviour when spending quality time with each other. but there are occasions when this happens. both of them would be big fusses over the other, but in different ways. when beidou is hurt, reader takes the time to cook meals for them and generally make sure that she is as comfortable as possible. they’ll usually spend most of (1/2)

(meanwhile Beidou is like "🥰 I'm sorry, I love you so much, you're so cute when you're worried, I'm fine really-" and suddenly she has an idea and all her being fine is turned to her whining like a baby about it hurts so she gets pampered more)
