I’ve been vaguely aware of Naethan Apollo for years now but lost track of him when I deleted TikTok back in like… ‘22?? anyway, I just rediscovered him and holy shit /pos bros discography is him being based and also having a banger dnd type campaign as an allegory for the current political landscape and i am eating it up. The lyricism has been injected directly into my veins, what was this man on when he put “I can’t imagine fading away without even having a hand to hold” after summer night in domita??!?!! /pos

Can we talk for just a moment how FUCKED UP it is to raise your child in your footsteps when you're a climber?
Arthur is the character that made me think about this, since in the Loser music video we see that his dad was also a climber. But this applies to any Mazmus knight (or for that matter, anyone who trains their family members (looking at you, Argentum)) to be specifically a climber.
Like, this is your kid (or relative, or such) and you are training them for the most dangerous squad role. The highest death rate. The ones most likely to be thrown like a damn football across the battlefield. Are climbers vitally important to Mazmus success? Yes, deeply so. Squads couldn't function well without them, and someone has to do the job.
But raising your kid specifically to do that? Purposely, from a young age, train them up for a higher likelihood to die?
That is Messed Up.

I don't know a lot about mha, but the vibes of this theory are IMPECABLE
I think that most of my theory is what the second half of your first paragraph is, BUT I want to expand on it and connect it to what we've seen in TFC: The Golden Era. Spoilers for TFC: The Golden Era below!
--
From the Golden Era, we know that Gifts are awakened via traumatic incidents. In the Mazmus, it's a controlled event, but it's also something that Some People know could be brought out before then. For the Scrittori twins in TGE, their grandpa probably paid someone to get the information on how to do it. That lead to the twins getting thrown into horrors unknown in order to awaken their Gifts before tryouts. (Side note: Mike's description of how Argi just TURNS OFF at the top of the cliff haunts me). We also know that the twins are highly prepared for joining the Mazmus long before tryouts--they've probably been pushed into training for it the moment their grandpa knew they were born Blessed.
In a vein similar vein, Arthur's dad (legendary Mazmus figure) probably knew his son was Blessed pretty early on just because of the company he was around. I believe that Arthur's dad trained him 1-1 extensively, given Apollo's comment to Genesis about climbing techniques passed to legacy recruits in Scene 5 in Wyldflowers. And Arthur's dad, being a Mazmus Knight, would know how to pull a Gift from a Blessed child (if the child is Gifted). I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that, along with training, Arthur was subjected to dangerous situations in order to force his Gift to emerge before the tryouts--just like the Scrittori twins.
TLDR: I think Arthur's dad ripped any chance of a childhood away from Arthur at a young age by pushing him into training and putting him in dangerous situations to try and awaken his Gift. And the resentment of being pushed so far so fast is why Arthur refuses to use his Gift (that, and the trauma).
i’ve been thinking about this since the album first came out but like, okay so presumably arthur refuses to use his gift because it has something to do with his father, right?? like yeah there could be a multitude of other reasons he doesn’t want to use it but his whole thing is that he fucking HATES that guy, so it’s only logical to assume that extends to his gift. and i don’t know if gifts have anything to do with genetics, so i don’t know if his gift has anything to directly do with his father, but even if it in of itself doesn’t it’s likely that the issue instead is that his father was that harsh on him BECAUSE of the fact that he had a gift because he wanted a strong kid. alongside that, the fact that he’s already got his gift despite the fact that the others have yet to know if they’ll get one is almost certainly the fault of said father being AWFUL towards him, and therefore causing his gift to awaken when he was younger.
fact of the matter is, while we don’t know the specifics of what his deal is, from what i can gather, it does sound a little…… familiar……………
(also yes i made this gif in 5 minutes purely for this post thanks for asking)
ANYWAYS!! my main point is, i think he should have a development (and he probably will) in which he learns to separate his gift from his father, and use it for himself, through the power of frienship and like probably apollo giving him the good old
“YOUR GIFT NOT HIS!”
and it’ll be incredible and i’ll cheer but in the back of my mind the entire time i will ONLY be thinking about todoroki 😭😭😭😭😭

Everyone talks about the fact the Saja Boys use “more than power, more than gold” to make fun of “Golden” but nobody talks about how Abby and Mira parallel.
Mira says “끝없이 on stage” (eternally on stage) and Abby says “play me on repeat 끝없이 in your head”. Half their lyrics reference and oppose Golden. Mira’s line represents how she’ll always be on stage for her fans because she loves what she does. Abby’s line represents how they’re digging their nails into your brain to become one with it and allow Gwi-Ma to take control. The ENTIRE SONG of Your Idol directly inverts Golden and its purpose. At the risk of the golden honmoon, the Saja Boys dropped THE song to rip it apart. Look for the contradictions and you’ll find them.

Hey yeah so this isn't going to get better even if we get a different person in office in the next presidential election. There has been damage done that will take a generation, if not more, to repair.
The bombing of Iran is something we aren't going to be able to 'fix'. He has fundamentally changed the landscape of the US's relationship to every other nation we have ties with.
Fucking hell.

OH MY GOD TWO FOR FUCKING TWO

Best guess is Arthur is a Climber. He's so focused on killing Toltag himself, I bet he's trained for it his whole life

Coming back a year later because I WAS FUCKING RIGHT

Fine. Fine fine fine fine, if NO ONE ELSE is gonna talk about Tales from Cazilor/Tales from Cazilor: The Golden Era, I WILL!
With the introduction of the squad roles (Stalwart, Climber, Anchor), I Deeply need to know what role Apollo and Arthur (from the OG album) fill. What was their training like? Are they Blessed? Gifted? We know Apollo was from Domita, but what about Arthur?
Given what little we know, I think Apollo would have willingly joined the Mazmus. (AKA doesn't need to be Blessed, would have willingly made the choice). Being in Domita during its fall and seeing all that destruction could spur anyone to join the Mazmus to make sure it never happened again. And with how much care Apollo has ("dying for a friend is a hell of a way to die" and all of "I Hope I Die Alone"), he feels like the type of person that would push through any hardship if it meant protecting those he cares about. Not necessarily from a sense of duty, but from a love for others.
Arthur, on the other hand, feels like someone who was born Blessed because he is So duty-bound. He "had no fond memories", dreams only of killing Toltag, never rests, etc. He kind of reminds me of Arge in TGE except to the extreme--born Blessed, told he is meant for greatness and has a duty to do Great Things. Except Arge is serving in a more peaceful time, and Arthur has likely only been serving after the fall of Domita, so there is more urgency, more pressure for Arthur. Arthur strikes me as the type that has had a singular goal--killing Toltag and ending the war--hammered into him since birth, and that would mean it is more likely than not that he would be Blessed.
This is, of course, assuming that the relationship between being Blessed and the Mazmus selection and training is consistent between the album and TGE. Which I guess isn't something we'll really know until the source books is released, Naethan reveals more information, and/or another album is released.
Join me for more theories and thoughts I scream into the void while Cazilor has no fandom, thank you thank you.
