FINALLY back home and tbh. i missed my bed so much. Like Kalos was fun and all for most of it but. i missed my bed and my apartment so much. so I'm. Probably not gonna go back for a Bit

[It's a strange video that takes place a little after the last one. Ari is in a lab but she's trembling a little as she's disassociating. She recalls a Houndoom as it looks like a pokemon battle just finished. Looker walks up behind her. "That is enough." He said with an espurr walking by him. Ari jumped a little, hovering a second before landing back down. Looker then looked at her with concern. "Ms. Ari, are you ok?" He asked while she just gave a shaky thumbs up. She was mouthing something silently, before motioning her head towards "Essentia." Looker nodded in acknowledgement.

"What?!" Xerosic said. "Who are you? Why are you two here?" He asked, as he did seem genuinely confused.

Looker gave a thoughtful look, and began to explain. "Mimi is a psychic pokemon. It is only natural that it could find the friend to whom it has opened its heart." He said, though Mimi seemed to get closer to Ari.

Xerosic shook his head. "You can't just barge into a private residence like this! This is a crime!" He said angrily while Looker just nodded.

"That would be true had we forced our way onto the property. However, all we did was step in an open elevator. Notwithstanding that, Ari is the partner of the great Looker! If she was in trouble I would follow her to the highest heights and the fathomless depths!" He said, though he did give a concerned look to Ari who seemed to finally be trying to do some deep breaths, and gave a thumbs up. She was gonna be okay, she had to be.

Xerosic still looked upset, but still urged Essentia on. “Grrr… Still, you won’t capture me! Go Essentia! Get them all!” He yelled, while Ari flinched before readying a Pokeball. Panic or no, she had to do this. Looker and the small espurr still seemed concerned for her, but… she gave a slight smile. “Stop this Emma!” Looker said while the espurr meowed. Though Xerosic didn't pay them any kind as he went on about Essentia.

“It's useless, you fools! Nothing you try will work! Emma cannot hear you! The one in control of Essentia is not Emma, but me!” Xerosic said before Ari tried to softly say something. “E-emma… please.” She said before Looker also tried to snap the teenager out of her current state. “Can you hear me, Emma?! If you wake yourself, I know you can break free of the suit! Awaken, open your eyes!” He said with a hint of desperation in his voice. “Emma, EMMA!!” He yelled while Essentia stood silent. Meanwhile Xerosic laughed while both Looker and Ari looked concerned. “Isn't the power of science amazing? There's no way she will hear you now!” Xerosic said before the espurr, Mimi, ran up to Essentia and tried to play with her.

Looker looked with concern and worry for the small pokemon. “Mimi! Get back!” He yelled, before Mimi followed his instructions and stepped back. However, when the espurr stepped back, something happened with Essentia. The lights on the helmet began to flash as she held her head and yelled. Xerosic was taken aback from the glitch in the programming. “What?! How could this happen?! But no problem, just watch this! Remote-control function, set to maximum output!” He said before pressing a button on a small remote control, and Essentia was back to how she was before.

Looker gave a concerned look at Ari. She looked worse for wear, as she was trying unsuccessfully to steady herself by taking deep breaths. It was almost like she knew what was happening but was trying to put it off. “Ari… can you go? If you wanted me to, I could use one of your pokemon in your stead.” He said worriedly. “I'm… sorry for leading you through this. I didn't-” He started to apologize before Ari shook his head. “I- I'm gonna be fine. I, we gotta get Emma out. Soon.” She said, her voice still hoarse. Looker then nodded, though he still looked worried for her. “Then go, stop Emma.” He said while she readied another Pokeball.

Ari reached out her arm with pokeball in hand as the international battle gesture. While Essentia held her head and yelled briefly, she still accepted Ari's challenge, sending out a crobat. Ari sent out a bisharp in response though it looked back at her in concern. She still nodded, and it nodded back. She was able to command him well enough that she soon won the battle against Essentia. After the match, she yelled again, holding her head. Ari was out of breath, she actually had to take a knee while Looker took point.

“There are no more pokeballs! You must stop fighting!! Emma!!!” He pleaded with her desperately. After he did so, Xerosic looked at the two adults in the room silently as Essentia yelled and held her head, as if she was in pain. “No… Emma! What can I do?!” Looker yelled in worry. He looked worried about Emma. And yet… despite the yelling, Xerosic still was quiet, until he heard Essentia yell one last time. Then he quietly said “Remote control… power down. Deactivate.” He said, while Essentia yelled again, before standing back up silently. Ari looked somewhat hopeful.

“E-Emma! Are you alright?!” Looker asked while Essentia was still silent. “I just turned off the remote control for the suit. There was never any danger to her.” Xerosic explained as Emma eventually woke up from the suit, yawning. The video ends there.]

[It's a strange video. It's of Ari and Malva from the Kalos Elite 4 in a hotel room, and Ari clearly looks very nervous. "Took you long enough, anomaly, oops, I mean Ari. That is your name, right? Regardless, it just so happens that I may have a need for your services. However, I expect you to keep in mind how valuable my time is." Malva said before Ari sighed slightly.

"Can't we just cut to the chase? Do you know about Emma or not." Ari said quickly while she looked around the hotel room. She still looked to be on edge, as if someone was going to burst in at any second. "A woman after my own heart, however you can't expect me to have a reasonable conversation with our emotions inflamed. So let's battle, right here right now!" Malva said with a smirk. Ari just sighed as she called out a honchkrow while Malva called out a pyroar.

The battle soon ended with Malva recalling her pyroar. "Hmph. Enough for now, I brought you here for a reason. The first issue is the true identity of Essentia. As you could tell, that's your precious Emma, wearing a piece of special technology dubbed the Expansion Suit. The Expansion Suit was created by Dr. Xerosic." Malva explained as multiple emotions crossed Ari's face. "... Is she safe?" Ari asked.

"Is who safe?" Malva asked.

"Is Emma Safe." Ari said more sternly, as all traces of anxiety seemingly disappeared. Though Malva just shrugged. "Probably, even with his personality, Lysandre wouldn't let him do anything that would explicitly hurt someone. Though given your expression, I take it you remember him as one of Team Flare's scientists?" Malva said, with Ari seeming more on edge than she originally was.

Ari nodded in acknowledgement. "It would be hard for me to forget them, I'll be honest, but why should I care about that now?" She asked Malva, though she still narrowed her eyes. Though Malva just shrugged.

"My request is this. make sure Xerosic disappears."

"I'm not going to kill him."

"I don't know why you're drawing the line now considering what happened to one of Team Flare's grunts but... I don't need him dead necessarily, just gone. Call it honor among thieves, as even us in team flare had our sense of pride. You and your little group may have disagreed with us but we were doing what we thought was right. I won't let him sully our honor." Malva said calmly though Ari rolled her eyes when she mentioned honor.

"Listen. I wasn't involved with what happened in that lab. But some of us actually cared about what he was trying to do."

"I'm not arguing with you, it'd be a waste of breath."

"Regardless, the hero of Kalos would hardly wish for a little girl to keep staining her hands with these crimes as Essentia, right?"

"...Right. I'd hate for that to be hanging over her." Ari said, her face not trying to show any emotions.

"Then if we leave now, we should find him at Lysandre Cafe, and don't dawdle. I'd say be prepared to face death, but... I don't think you'd need to worry about that. However, you should still prepare well if you want a shot at surviving this." Malva said, which Ari just nodded in agreement with before leaving the hotel room.

When she left the hotel, Ari ducked into an alleyway and did some deep breathing. "Breathe... Breathe... it's going to be okay. You're going to get her back. You and Looker got this." She said while breathing out to steady herself. The video ends there.]

okay but like. you realize even functioning members of society need to have fun right. That's why shit like vacations, escape rooms, clubs, videogames, ECT. exist. also to paraphrase someone from back home, "When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." And to go along with the whole thing, sometimes hugs are comforting and sometimes even adults need that comfort. They're human beings, not statues after all
