funniest happening of the week is my friend forgetting to tell me she and her boyfriend opened the relationship, which lead to a very confusing time when he gave me a car ride and was exceptionally gay with his friend in the front seat the whole half hour

if finished before dinner, intoduction to cassius dio

read highlight and summarise the textbook chapter for english lit

if time to spare at night read some angela carter

i really need to deal with the dishwasher

edit: commentary to IV 1 done and dishwasher done, plus I cleaned the kitchen appliances and the table, now onto IV 4 and looking forward to a celebratory yogurt

edit 2: i am done with propertius finally! too late in the evening for the yogurt but i think i will make the fake tiramisù before dinner so it has a little time in the fridge. i think i might do cassius dio first though

created a jstor account through my uni so i can read articles and use them for my english lit exam. makes me feel accomplished

4 is the best number ever. tell me ANY OTHER NUMBER which is the result of two equal numbers undergoing every operation. 2+2, 2x2, 2^2, all are 4. 1+1 and 1x1? 3+3 and 3x3 and 3^3? no! 4 is perfect! 4 is THE PERFECT SQUARE! and the square is the perfect geometric figure… AGH!! i love 4

today’s studying checkpoints:

finishing propertius IV, 4

studying the heyworth preface & course introduction (at least)

if time left before dinner: commentary to prop IV, 1 and 4 both

if even more time left: plutarch and livy’s recountings of tarpeia’s myth in comparison to propertius

i WANT to also start cassius dio but i know that’s basically impossible

after dinner doing a read through of the english lit module for the midterm (prof calls it that) possibly out loud for memory purposes

to motivate me, i’ve compiled a bunch of things i want to do when i finish a point:

sweep the house

eat a yogurt

finish/watch a (short) youtube video

and also a couple chores i don’t want to do but should:

make the bed

tidy my bedroom

un/load the dishwasher

hoping to go to bed before midnight having done at least 3 points on the checklist and some chores
