the thing about rupert and taggie is that the entire show is so inundated with rupert using sexuality and power to get what he wants. i mean we started the show with a rupert sex scene for god sake. contrasting that with his scenes with taggie where everything is so intimate and quiet. his moments of wanting to become better (and also attempting to stay away from her) where he look so out of sort, like for the first time he's lost as to how to navigate attraction to this person. completely different to other relationships where figuring out and providing people with what they want is so easy for him.
