💯 the most level headed and cognizant thing I’ve read since the day after comic-con. And I’m one of the “ffs creepy fandomers” being referred to at the end!!! 😂 Being a stay at home mom has ruined me.

Okay so, just so we’re alllllll clear:

W magazine is not a celebrity gossip rag. It is a respected women’s lifestyle magazine (we’ll call it Cosmo for intellectuals, basically.) They don’t publish garbage rumors, as a general rule of thumb.

So the article everyone is calling disrespectful? The one that has the fandom up in arms, with most of you calling it garbage and claiming Lili and Cole were ‘clapping back’ at it? Guys... it’s fucking called satire. The whole ‘wink wink, all good’ at the end? Should’ve clued you all in.

Nevermind the fact that Lili and Cole took the time to both tweet the cover... with scathing captions that were pretty obviously directed toward not only all of the garbage news outlets but ALSO all of you who are so terrifyingly invested in the relationship of two people you don’t actually know...

And nevermind the fact that Cole put up on his insta story LAST NIGHT that a big update was coming...

Do you really think they would’ve done ANY OF THAT without it being one big joke to them? The speculation in the celebrity gossip rags? The tongue and cheek nods throughout the article to their ‘breakup’? The fact that because the article is written the way it is, it seemingly doesn’t put ANY OF IT to rest?

All of it... is One. Big. Joke.

They’re not broken up. The W magazine article isn’t disrespectful. The point of it was to feel like it was confirming that they were broken up, and the wink wink nod nod at the end was a ‘just kidding, we gotcha’ that most of you seemed to have missed.

And at the end of it all, I’m just left with wondering if Cole and Lili weren’t the original ‘sources’ of the US Weekly report to begin with. If Cole really didn’t tell someone that he and Lili were split KNOWING someone would overhear it and run with it. If they didn’t deliberately make sure that their Comic Con interaction was limited in front of cameras. All of it, just... one giant ‘fuck you’ from both of them to all of you who are so creepily invested in a relationship you have no business trying to involve yourself in. It’d be very on brand for both of them, as anyone who remembers the Cole Sprouse social experiment can attest to.

I really hope that’s the case. If it is, I respect them even more now. As for the rest of the fandom, for fucks sake, mind your fucking business and quit acting entitled to a relationship you’re not a part of.

i think the article refers to the rumors spreading around now. what they were saying was their relationship is none of our business but also explains why they didnt confirm or deny the rumors. i think they set up the “sources” that were referred to but thats just my opinion

Fully agree! I think their getting hacked a little while back set all of this in motion.

This article totally confirms what all the other articles were speculating.

My guess is they’ve been on-again-off-again for most of the summer and they’re still working through it. My guess is also that I am WAY TOO OLD TO BE A PART OF THIS FANDOM WTAF IS WRONG WITH MEEEEE 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dudes I’ve speculated for a while now about this breakup. Especially when they spent those few days in LA - including a holiday - and spent all of their time with friends and not each other.

You’re going to say “so they don’t spend all their time together, doesn’t mean they broke up!” And you’re totally right. But I’ve been with my man for 7 years now and he still likes to spend his free time with me, despite the fact that we live with each other and see each other every day and sleep next to each other, he STILL walks next to me when we’re going places and he still chooses to spend the holidays with me.

“He visited her in NJ when she was filming!” Yeah for ONE night after spending weeks abroad, hanging out from the looks of things, and then jetted off to LA to do more hanging out.

So, if they’re just that couple that doesn’t spend time together because what? They work together? Well, then if the splits rumors are false now, they will be true later because anyone who has been in a long term relationship will tell you that time brings people closer together, if they drift apart then they weren’t meant to be.

And also, all the supposed Sprousehart “content” from comic-con is SO cherry-picked! Let’s just keep watching the TVLine interview where Lili had to reprimand the boys and Cole’s face the remainder of the interview was....well, not happy.

And that’s my 2 cents on the Sprousehart stuff that I am entirely too old to actually be paying attention to 😂😂😂

Nearly 2 years together and he can't even be bothered to call me. Not that I have anything to say to him nor do I care to hear anything he has to say but to just drop off the grid like that??
