Seeing how important music tends to be for me, and how much I enjoy curating playlists for both kin & non-kin reasons; I thought it would be fun to share a little about some of the more.. emotionally evocative parts in my playlist. Idk- maybe you all will find it interesting?（´∇｀''）I plan to more of these in the future either way! But for my first one--

#23 -- Shine On

This is one of the songs that initially inspired me to do this & the one I'm listening to right now! It's admittedly something of a comfort song to me currently.

" When darkness falls / You are my light / You take my hand / And hold it tight / You are my home / I know it now / Don't let me go / We're safe and sound " -- It feels a bit cheesy saying this, but this is Okhema for me. It is both literally bathed in eternal light, and also the home to the family that found me after the destruction of Aedes Elysaie. This intro feels like a soft hug whenever I hear it.. makes me wanna cry happy tears.

" Shine on / And feel my heart / We're never lost / Even when I'm gone / Life circles on / From near and far / Above the flower bed / As / we watch the stars / And we'll never be lost! " -- As someone who has experienced multiple rounds of Amphoreus's "cycles" (Long story I'm afraid - I've been calling em loops, but considering the more mobius strip-esque behavior of time in my canon, maybe there is something more appropriate out there) this is such a gentle framing of events so tragic, it's a massive relief. Again, like a hug. The Aglaea and Anaxa of my "loop one" will probably never exist in quite the same capacity again but this is a reminder that they still live on through their respective successors and.. idk. It makes me happy. The flower bed -> nether realm and stars -> fake sky evoking the "original" Amphoreus (long story) are a nice bonus. That it wasn't just a prison or tool for some selfish mans desires, that all those cycles following the flame chase weren't for naught. (Longer story.)

Overwhelming with emotion /pos Like- I feel it so viscerally. It's almost triggering a memory, so that may be a concern, but at the same time I don't mind. Really, the whole thing just sounds like I'm returning somewhere loving, and I'm all ajkshkdsf about it.

Home is where the heart is, yeah?
