Water Treatment Plant - Sewage Treatment Plant

DeltaPure Technologies Water Treatment Plant system is a compact biological purification system, consisting of 1 – 3 units, depending on the cleaning requirements. Each unit has one section with submerged aereated filters (coarse bubble aeration), and one section for sedimentation.

Microorganisms growing on the submerged DeltaPure Technologies® filter degrades the dissolved organic load.

The picture show the submerged areated filters. The the system is designed in such a way that cloging is eliminated. Dead bacteria are removed back to the pre setteling tank at regular intervals using air lift pumps.

Submerged aerated filters is known to be one of the most stable techniques for treatment of wastewater in smaller quantities between 1 and 5.000 m3 / day. This i also due to the fact, that such a system can function even though the amount of inflowing wastrewater varies greatly in incomming amounts. This is the case in places like single houses, smaller villages, hotels, vacation houses etc.

Packaged sewage treatment plants are becoming more popular than ever as people are finding it harder to get permission to discharge effluent to the ground using a normal septic tank. Although this is still possible in some areas a packaged sewage treatment plants is now seen as the correct option for 'off mains ' drainage, and more affordable than ever before.

The sewage treatment plant process is similar to the way that a septic tank works, but mechanical components provide a process to help break down solids to produce a cleaner, more environmentally friendly effluent.Waste water and sewage are fed into the primary settlement tank where solids and liquids separate, the liquids then flow into the biozone chamber. In this chamber, a pump aerates the waste and encourages good bacteria to digest the organic matter, breaking it down and purifying it. As it leaves the final chamber known as the humus chamber, the effluent is typically 95% clean and ready for discharge into local watercourses, ditches or land drainage systems, subject to consent by the Environment Agency.

Water management is an extremely challenging task for DeltaPure Technologies, particularly at Trombay unit. DeltaPure Technologies Trombay Unit is situated in the highly populated Delhi NCR. In case of any shortage of water in the city especially during summers, supply of water f to industries like DeltaPure Technologies is curtailed first.

In order to be self reliant and as a responsible corporate, we endeavour to achieve highest levels of efficiency in water consumption. We have set up first-of-its-kind Sewage Treatment Plant at Trombay unit, which treats the city municipal sewage. The plant produces about 15 MLD (Million Liters per Day) of treated water, substituting about 55% of the total water requirement at DeltaPure Technologies, Trombay.

We are setting up another Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Trombay. This new STP will not only make Trombay unit self-dependent in terms of process water requirement, but also the surplus water will be supplied to adjacent factory of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL). The New plant has a design capacity to treat 22.75 MLD of Municipal Sewage and produce about 15 MLD of treated water.
