what I fucking hate the most about hinny is that harry suddenly becomes a pathetic simp for a girl he didn't even know until two days before. no man's so pathetic

1) Can we stop saying that Harry and Ginny weren't friends before HBP? They were already friends, but we've all talked about it so many times it's getting boring.

2) I'd like to refute this point too. Last week I shaved my hair (I had pretty long hair) because a girl commented that she liked guys with short hair. So yeah, we're pathetic 😭 (I'm an idiot, don't judge. Harry wouldn't)

the way some of y’all cling to the idea of a #certain character in this franchise when so many of the traits y’all assign him are so far from the canon sends me…. he’s literally just a spoilt jealous brat, not to mention a classist, discriminatory asshole bully who doesn’t actually learn from his mistakes at all in the series. “but it was his upbringing!” harry had a terrible upbringing but do you see him acting like a whiny, selfish bitch? no! “he had no choice!” baby, he did have choices, he just chose wrong. look at sirius????

he also reinforced his parents’ disgusting views with his behaviour at school, despite being exposed to other ways of thinking (other students, teachers etc). “but he didn’t end up killing dumbledore!” i mean he did try to Many Many times, almost killing katie bell and ron in the process…. so he didn’t care about killing, as long as his ass was safe. oh yeah sorry you’re right, he’s such a good guy! i mean the fact that he didn’t actually care about anyone but himself for the entirety of the franchise certainly tells me a lot more about his character than that one decision not to kill his headmaster but sure! he didn’t actually kill dumbledore so 20 pts to slytherin! woo!

even despite all of this, harry saved his ass MULTIPLE times throughout the series (from as early as PS right up until DH) and he only returned the favour once at malfoy manor, because he was scared if he got it wrong, he would be killed - not because he was trying to protect harry. not to mention he never once shows any gratitude towards him at all for that. that’s why i’ll never understand people who ship #him with characters like harry and hermione. in a hypothetical scenario where you change every single character trait imaginable, then sure it might work, but this saucy enemies to lovers narrative ppl always spout is so hilarious. he is not badass. he is not a broody, mysterious guy. he’s not interesting or remotely interested in anyone but himself. he’s a jealous loser, a massive bully, an attention seeker AND a shit seeker.

there’s nothing redeemable about him. regulus black had a more interesting (slight) redemption arc that him, and his story is an extremely minor part of the books. and thinking hermione would be at all interested in him is laughable??? all his discrimination and nastiness aside — the side he’s on, the way he treats harry and hagrid and the weasley family (!!!) and neville and basically anyone who isn’t pureblood or slytherin — would literally disgust her. hermione literally started an organisation to promote the welfare of other magical creatures, meanwhile #he’s out here calling her kind mudbloods and wishing death upon them like????? you will never get me to like that man, no sir.
