New conspiracy theory just dropped.
Did C3P0's "The Virtues of King Solo" use an uncredited sample of Salt-N-Pepa's "Whatta Man"? Our Delusions don't keep us from asking the hard questions.

We interrupt our recap of one of the worst EU books to bring you one of the BEST Star Wars ao3 fics you’ll ever read.
Fic Rec for #StarWarsCultureWeek Day 6 - Music & Art
"The Last Poem of Jedha" by schweinsty
Bodhi & co's healing process after returning to Yavin IV from Battle of Scarif barely alive, seemlessly intertwined with Bodhi's backstory with his family who had quite the history in the field of arts, and ends with him trying to reconnect back to his roots through poetry (which means this is gonna make you very sad 😭).
Don't worry if you think this is not gonna have a happy ending, because Bodhi gets one here, even if it takes around 15500 words of him struggling to get there.
In short, three of the tags by the author sums up the story, "Bodhi Rook Needs A Hug", "The Entire Universe and Its Mother Did a Number On Bodhi Rook" & "But He Has A Team".
Minor Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso and Chirrut Îmwe/Baze Malbus.
TW: Hurt/Comfort, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm (More notes in author's fic)

Recently on the pod: Luke pulls off the greatest Jedi trick of them all (somehow wearing a maxi dress UNDER a jumpsuit), Han finds his true talent (digging for worms), and we read our first fan mail!
PLUS: first prize goes to any listeners that can write in and explain THIS one to us. 💃

Today's episode kicks off a NEW BOOK! It's probably the worst & probably the most problematic but it is VERY fun to yell about.

I have a bad great feeling about this.
Coming in 2023 to a pod-catcher near you: Delusions of Grandeur, a Star Wars Novels Recap Podcast.
----
A long time ago, George Lucas created a galaxy far, far away—one that’s captured countless imaginations. And sometime around 1990, he realized that people who could not stop thinking or yelling about Star Wars movies would probably pay money to read Star Wars books in their free time. He was right. The first batch of extended universe (now known as “Legends”) novels were born.
What’s in these books, you might ask? Absolutely everything. A complicated galaxy, where the Empire remains a very real threat even after Palpatine is gone. Every single character who appeared on screen in the ‘70s and ‘80s for more than five seconds shows up—some with detailed backstories and rich inner lives. And these novels aren’t afraid to ask the hard questions: is it possible to maintain a massive and diverse interspecies democracy? Is the Jedi order worth restoring? Does Luke Skywalker know what hot chocolate is? You can see why these became instant New York Times best sellers.
Through no fault of their own, our two hosts fell headfirst into this strange and wonderful universe as children, and they haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Emily and Kelly grew up before Star Wars returned to the big screen—when novels were fans' only hope. Now, they're re-reading them with fresh eyes for plot twists, new characters, and surprisingly apt socio-political themes. Delusions of Grandeur is a podcast about the good, the bad, and the truly bizarre stories of the Star Wars novels.
