His happiness is catching and slowly, Tessa’s own tension fades. Her hands stop trembling and her breathing is even now, though her heart skips a few beats in her chest at Will’s sight. Never did they even dream about having a child of their own, since everyone told them it is impossible. A knowledge that had hurt Tessa in the past, seeing all her friends become mothers, knowing it is impossible for her to experience the same bliss. But here they are, overwhelmed but full of joy and Tessa can’t keep herself from already falling in love with the idea of being a mother to a small human being. Will’s kisses make her laugh softly and she closes her eyes for a moment, enjoying them. When she looks up again, her eyes meet his and a few tears glister in them. “I am so happy and yet so scared”, she whispers, before pulling him into a gentle kiss.

          For a moment, Will fears that he might actually burst from happiness. He could stand there holding her and kissing her for the rest of his life. This news -- he had wanted a child, he had thought about being a father before. It was something that, ten years ago, he didn’t think possible. Hell, a few moments ago he wasn’t completely certain it was possible. 

          Now it’s a reality. It’s their reality. 

                    ❛ I will be here every step of the way, dear heart. ❜

          He’s happy to kiss her again, and again after that. His arms find their way around her, holding her close to him, and for a moment he just leans his nose against her hair, breathing her in. He’ll be there with her, every moment. Of course he will be.

curse lifted. literally that whole part where will jumped to cover tessa and got hurt so badly and she thought he wanted her thanks and he was just like lol no????? like slay me

JEM.

                        as will begun to move jem begun to hesitate, body lurching forward as will pushed himself upright. worry still easily spotted in the shadowhunter’s expression, he forced himself to lean back into the chair. hands pressed over his face if only to gather himself before properly facing will. truly he felt GUILTY, for if he was stronger, more able to defend himself & his parabatai perhaps will would not have to suffer.

                        this very worry brought a sharp intake, & a steady reminder of just WHY jem couldn’t protect will. had he taken his medicine ? no. he hadn’t had time, he’d focused solely on bringing will into the infirmary, making certain he got a proper iratze, & keeping a watchful eye until will awoke. though jem could hardly face will’s question, in fact he was ASHAMED by it.

                    ❛considering all the fuss i do hope so. just a few scratches but i shall                     manage, you hardly need to worry about my standings william.❜

                        yes, he avoided the last question. but he hadn’t felt THAT weak, more so exhausted mentally, after sitting awake for many hours. perched in the same position without fail. for if will was to wake& jem was not in the confines he was made certain SOMEONE would bring him to will simply to shut him up.

                       ( though he wouldn’t be his will if he had not shared such dramatics. )

          the pain was sharp as he pulled his trousers on, every movement of his muscles pulling at the skin. will can’t help but wince, exhaling a slow breath through his nose to keep from voicing his discomfort. if he isn’t careful, he could end up pulling the wounds open again, and then he’d be in trouble. charlotte would never let him hear the end of it. 

          JEM would never let him hear the end of it. 

          he wastes no time pulling on a shirt to hide the bandages covering his back. it’ll be easier for everyone not to think about his injuries if they can’t see them, he thinks. it’ll be easier for jem to stop worrying so much about him. but will isn’t about to stop worrying about jem. and then there’s also...

                    ❛ ...and tessa? ❜ 

          the way he says her name, with all the softness in the world, with every ounce of tenderness he can muster, he immediately regrets. no, he cannot act this way -- not even to jem, who has known more of his soul than anyone else in the world. NO ONE can know the true feelings of his heart. he curses himself inwardly, before continuing a bit more gruffly.

sorry i’ve been so absent, lots has been going on. i’m diving into my drafts now~

curse lifted. so somehow i ended up going out to eat with a friend and after that we wandered back to my room and watched prisoner of azkaban and order of the phoenix totally impromptu and basically today was good i enjoyed this halloween 

i have to do some final planning stuff for my nanowrimo novel but when i get through the outline i’ll finally do my replies here

anywho there’s still some stuff i have to figure out but i’m calmed down a lot now so i think i’ll be able to actually do stuff once i get this finished
