This part never gets easier. After being out of the hospital for a whole 5 weeks (the longest I've been out of the hospital in the past couple of years), I am admitted once again. Hopefully this won't be a long stay and I won't have to tell my baby girl goodbye every night. She knows this routine too well and it breaks my heart. But she sees momma being strong and fighting extremely hard every second of every day to be a healthy mommy for her. 2 years ago today my life changed before my eyes. I became a mother, the love of my life became a father, and we both immediately felt a love we had never felt before. I still can't believe God chose us to be parents to the most beautiful, smart, hilarious, cheeky, and, most importantly, healthy little girl named Melody Grace. So many doctors told me I could never have children due to my health. By the grace of God (hence her middle name) she and I both made it through her birth! This picture is of the first moment I got to hold her after I woke up from the c section. It was the most special moment of my life! Happy 2nd birthday to the biggest miracle of my life Melody Grace! Babygirl, I love you so much from the bottom and depths of my soul it hurts. I will love you for the rest of forever and you will always know it and feel it! You have been mommy's ray of sunlight when I am cooped up in the hospital and you are the best little nurse to ever live. Mellie had her first real haircut today! Today is day 38 in the hospital this admission. But after some compromise with my doctor, I will be able to go home tomorrow and be with my little girl at home for her 2nd birthday! He wanted me to stay for a few more days because of fevers I've been having, but I really want to go home. Hopefully I won't have to come back for a long time. I've been in the hospital more than 120 days at least this year so far so I'm ready to stay out for awhile.
