the idea for this one has been bouncing around my head ever since i read tbob last summer...ford's emotional arc in the book — specifically in re: beginning to overcome his deep shame over having been abused — is really important to me and i think about it every day of my life. the other thing i think about every day of my life is never quite free by the mountain goats

(Look, I’m not saying I have any personal experience with accidentally crashing people’s dates because I didn’t realize they were dates… no, actually, that is exactly what I’m saying. Apologies to anyone who’s ever been friends with me!) 6. The first activity Shermie would do with his brothers, requested by @zfiledh​. 7. Bill being a manipulative bastard, requested by @alexaloraetheris​. 8. And now for the important questions: @pirably​ asked what would happen if Stan Pines met A.J. Raffles. I realize there are probably 3 people in the world who will find this crossover entertaining (myself included), but I don’t care. My favourite thieving snob vs. my favourite thieving slob. A+ crossover.

My brain is fixated on Eldtrich Bill and Ford aaahhghhh

I need to ramble about them so much, as well find more Billford fics

Random idea dump about the Au, forgive my english:

Thinking how, the first time Ford saw Eldtrich, he was amazed. It was a weird artificial but organic body that hosted his muse. That body charmed him right on the spot, immediately jumping at studying it and documenting everything. Ford, blinded by Bill's words, saw this body as none other than a perfect specimen to study given by his muse.

Then jumping a few years after Weirdmageddon, Bill is forced for some short periods on earth for field therapy, since this artificial body makes him experience things he either can't understand or he himself refuses to feel (I have to develop this better, but the concept is this one)

Now, Ford is healing: he is back on good terms and is recovering the lost years with Stan. He has a bright and adventurous nephew and niece. He is keeping in touch with Fiddleford. He is surrounded by people who love him, by family.

And when he sees Eldtrich again...

Ford stares at that creature and he just sees that body to what it truly is: a weak excuse of a human form, another ploy to deceive and make someone "feel safe" with the illusion they are talking to someone with human emotions, values, empathy, but it's not. It's a tool used to lie and hurt others with.

Ford sees that body as nothing more than an empty, cold, creepy, uncoordinated "body" whose host is a being that's becoming desperate, even almost pathetic, at his attempt to set himself free through deception, because those old tricks don't work anymore and Bill seems to have lost his touch as well.

Ford feels some kind of satisfaction at seeing Bill reduced to that.

I’ve been drawing nothing but Gravity Falls since the finale. AHH! I still want to draw more of the Stan twins. I’m so happy that they are brothers again, on their boat, having fun adventures and stuff.  :’]
