Yes! I have to lean on God’s strength daily. Going through motherhood without God would be such a tough duty.. God gave us this beautiful blessing, He entrusted us to hold onto these sweet little gifts, that we may raise them up to be lovers of Him, to give them back to Him! Without God, I don’t think I’d enjoy motherhood as much as I do. Rest is stored in Him alone, otherwise I’d get none! I’d still be waiting to this day for rest.
Having my son was the best thing that’s happened to me (besides marrying my husband). I’ll be stressed or frustrated about something, and then my toddler will hug me and suddenly everything is okay again.

Satan does not attack with unbelief and distrustfulness the man who is calm and at ease. Satan attacks such a man in a more vulnerable point than that. Self-love, self-confidence, worldliness—these will be the weapons that Satan will use against him...There is a man of robust physical health and vigorous mental powers who is enjoying the promises and delighting in the ways of God. Possibly Satan will not attack this man with unbelief, because he feels that such a man has armor for that particular point, but he will attack him with pride or some temptation to lust. Satan will most thoroughly and carefully examine us, and if he shall find us to be, like Achilles, vulnerable nowhere else but in our heel, he will shoot his arrows at our heel.
Charles Spurgeon

Idolatry is when you become the source of your own joy. Poverty of spirit is a wonderful thing.

You, brother, must learn hereby so to love your wife, as Christ Jesus loved His spouse His church. That is to say, even as our Savior Christ is very patient towards it, and by little and little purges, washes, and cleanses away the corruption of it, so must you in like manner in all wisdom use the means (and with a patient mind wait for the amendment of any thing that you shall find to be amiss in your wife) that the graces of God’s spirit may daily increase in her. Therefore, I charge you in the sight of God and his angels, and as you will answer unto me and the parents of this my sister, before the judgment seat of Christ, that as you receive her a virgin from her parents, so you neglect no duty whereby her salvation may be furthered, that you may present her pure and blameless, as much as in you lies, unto Jesus Christ when He shall call you to account.
Richard Greenham (c. 1542–1594)

My son has been such a blessing to me. He is only 11 months old, but since he has been born I have grown so much in my faith. God has been really moving in my family. The joy my sweet boy brings in this home.

Feminists won’t like this but wives should actually thank their husbands and show gratitude even for the stuff that’s “expected”. Just because something is the expectation, doesn’t mean it’s easy.

I think housedresses are a thing we need to bring back in a major way. Flowy, loose dresses are so comfortable and great for house chores. I also am of the opinion that if you take time for yourself to look good, you are more productive, happier, and confident. You also don't even need to do much to look put together, just wear a dress and put your hair in a ponytail and you look great. Also, almost all of my housedresses from the 50s-70s contain pockets.

Hot Takes from an Aspiring Proverbs 31 Woman
A soft spirit, a strong spine, and zero interest in impressing the world.
1. Homemaking is holy.
Call it outdated, I call it sacred. I don’t clean my house because I’m “less than.” I do it because I’m building a sanctuary.
2. I submit to my husband.
Not because I’m weak. But because I’m wise. I trust the God who put him in my life to lead.
3. Modesty isn’t insecurity.
It’s confidence that doesn’t need attention. I don’t dress to attract the world—I dress to honor the Lord.
4. Being a wife and mother is not a “fallback.”
It’s a calling. A high one. The world won’t clap for it, but Heaven sees.
5. I won’t “tone it down.”
If truth makes people uncomfortable, so be it. Jesus never sugarcoated the Gospel. Why should I?
6. Feminism told me I needed to act like a man to matter.
God told me I was already valuable as a woman. That settled it.
7. My gentleness is not weakness.
It’s warfare. The devil can’t stand a woman who is quiet before the Lord and fierce in prayer.
8. Sex isn’t casual.
It’s covenant. If that sounds “old-fashioned,” good. I serve the Ancient of Days.
9. My husband isn’t “lucky.”
He’s loved. Prayed for. Served. Honored. And I’m blessed to be his wife.
10. I’m not living to please culture.
I’m living to please Christ. Full stop.
