Hihi! Long time no see! I wanna start by apologizing for the long absence. It wasn’t my intention to be gone for months, but before I realized, May has rolled by and I have yet to find inspiration to write for this blog. So I’m going on an official hiatus for the time being. I know I’m disappointing a lot of you guys by making you wait for so long, and I’m terribly sorry. I’ll never stop loving Kimetsu no yaiba and the amazing friends I made here, but inspiration just isn’t there right now. Again, my deepest apologies 🥺

Having said that, I do not wish to stop writing altogether, so for the time being I’m moving over to @yumenosakiimagines , where I’ll be writing for Ensemble Stars. That’s my main fandom at the moment, and it makes me super happy! I wanted to announce it here since I know some of you are into enstars as well. Requests are open so please head over there if you’d like!

This is the most adorable, wholesome request I’ve ever gotten and I definitely didn’t make it any justice, I’m so very sorry ;-; I love seeing so many Oyakata-sama requests though! This man deserves more love. Also, I’m not really familiar with this kind of work, so some of this is probably pretty inaccurate. I apologize in advance! Feel totally free to correct me

Slightly shaky hands pet the small dog’s head for the millionth time in fifteen minutes, but the black pup didn’t seem to mind one bit; she wagged her fluffy tail slowly, eyes closed in a half asleep state. She was sitting on the tatami floor, the fur ball resting on her legs as they waited for her new owner to arrive. Said man had no idea of this, though.

The pup was definitely one of the best dogs she’d ever had the pleasure to train; she was so smart, loving and attentive. The idea of training a dog for Kagaya had slipped into her mind as soon as his vision started deteriorating, and when she saw the black puppy for the first time, she just knew she was the one. So there she was, after a whole year of training Aiko, wearing her heart on her sleeve.

The door slid open not too long after, and the head of the demon slayers walk in accompanied by a mizunoto, who held his hand as she guided the man into the room.

He sat in front of her while throwing her an apologetic smile. After making sure Oyakata-sama was comfortably settled down, the young demon slayer brought a tea pot and a pair of cups before bowing down and excusing herself out of the room. “My apologies, (y/n). Have you been waiting for too long?”

“Not at all, don’t worry.” She rushed to assure him, earning a little chuckle from the black haired male. It was the kind of sound that could literally make her heart skip a beat.

The pair had been friends since their early teenage years, when Kagaya was still able to see and their lives seemed so much easier. They had been together through thin and thick, supporting each other no matter what. She was next to him when he became the head of the demon slayers, held him tightly between her arms the first time one of the kids had los their life while on duty, accompanied him to visit the graves of his beloved children. In turn, Kagaya stood with her when she had to take on the family business at a young age, leaving everything else behind to deal with the responsibilities she had suddenly obtained; he was always there to remind her to take care of herself when the weight of her duties was a little too heavy on her shoulders.

She carefully poured a cup of tea and handed it over to Kagaya, who thanked her quietly with a nod. Silence had settled between the two, not an awkward one but pleasant instead. She stared at him for a while; even despite his sickness, the man could only be described as stunning. His delicate features and gentle demeanor, as well as the sharp contrast between his onyx hair and his snowy like skin gave him an almost unreal look. She had been harboring this feeling for years, and she just couldn’t do it anymore. She had to tell him; she felt that, for some reason, it was now or never. She almost didn’t want to break the calm and serene atmosphere, but she knew she had to. After one last deep breath to fill her lounges with courage, she called out Kagaya’s name. He replied with a hum, letting her know she had his whole attention.

“Can you hold your hand out for me?” He set his tea down, reaching his hand out to her without questioning; a proof of just how much he trusted her. She took his hand, delighting herself with the soft, slightly cold skin for a couple seconds before gently bringing it closer to the pup on her legs.

“Kagaya, this little one’s name is Aiko. I-I trained her for you.” Oyakata-sama was speechless for what seemed to be the first time ever. Of course he knew about his friend’s job, and had even pondered on the idea of asking her for a dog when the time felt right, but he didn’t expect this kind of surprise from her. The puppy sniffled his fingertips for a couple seconds before tentatively giving them a couple licks, causing him to chuckle.

“Aiko, huh? Child of love?” He murmured quietly as she placed Aiko on his lap, the name choice not going unnoticed. The fluffy creature happily let out a little bark, completely awake by this point, tail waving around uncontrollably as her new owner pet her head. She looked away, cheeks burning as she begun explaining.

“It’s… a reflection of how I feel. I want to help you. I want to share your hardships, bare them for you… I want to be by your side forever.” She said, her voice merely a whisper. When she looked up again, a sweet smiled adorned Kagaya’s face.

He reached for her hand, which she held out for him right away. Kagaya brought it to his face, placing a gentle kiss on the back of her hand and making her blush even deeper.

“I’ve always, always loved you, (y/n).”

Hcs for Sanemi and his fem s/o's wedding? How would the event look like, what would they wear, how the pillars + oyakata-sama would be like at such an event, what stuff would go down, etc. thanks!!!

This is such a wholesome request, thank you so much! Just a lil heads up, there are some spoilers to Sanemi’s past, family and relationships so be aware of that when reading. I had a lot of fun writing this!

I think Nemi would want a traditional Shinto wedding, mostly because of the traditional aspect of it, and not so m uch the religious side. If his wife to be was interested in having a more modern wedding, since white weddings started becoming popular in Japan after the Meiji Restoration, he might be willing to compromise a bit, but nothing too crazy.

Sanemi doesn’t want to admit it, but he’s a nervous wreck on the hours before the ceremony, maybe even the days prior. Like what if he does something wrong? What if she has second thoughts? What if he’s not enough to make her happy? What if he dies on duty and leaves her alone?

But then she sees her there, standing next to him in her white kimono, hair tied in an elegant yet simple updo, staring back at him with a reassuring smile, and all of his worries seem to fade suddenly. Well, maybe not all of them, but most.

The ceremony itself is rather small and simple. Knowing Sanemi, he’d probably wouldn’t even mind getting married without any guests, so if the bride wishes for something more elaborated, the organization is going to be almost solely on her.

Mitsuri is super excited when she hears the pair is getting married. She really loves weddings! She’d be more than happy to help with the organization if she was asked to. Heck, she’d most likely offer to help if she wasn’t asked to.

Even if Sanemi is not too keen on the idea at first, he’s so weak against his partner it only takes a bit of convincing to change his mind. She also helps his wife get ready for the ceremony, along with Tengen’s wives. Mitsuri gets a bit of a wedding fever after that take notes Iguro

All of the pillars are invited, as well as their partners. Oyakata-sama and Amane too, of course. Kagaya is so happy about the whole thing; a large number of slayers dont get to live long enough to even start thinking about marriage, so seeing Sanemi standing there next to his soon to be wife fills him with pride and joy.

Shinobu, Kyojuro and Giyuu are all equally shocked when Sanemi announces he’s going to get married; honestly, I wouldn’t even find it too surprising for the pillar to remain quiet about his relationship status up until this point. They’re all really happy for him nonetheless 

Gyomei can’t seem to stop crying throughout the ceremony. He’s so happy Sanemi is getting married, he was scared he wouldn’t find anyone able to deal with that temper of his. Prays for them to have a long, happy, loving and fulfilling marriage. A deep shade of red adorns Sanemi’s face all the way to the tips of his ears when the rock pillar starts praying for them to have a lot of healthy kids as well! He most likely wishes to have a huge family though.

Tokito is actually quite excited about the whole thing. He’s not very vocal about it at all but his eyes seem to sparkle as he stares at everything, its his first wedding ever after all! 

If his wife to be wishes to have Genya on the wedding, she’s gonna have to put her foot down. I think deep inside Sanemi really wants to have his brother, but he’s too stubborn to admit it. Genya would gladly accept the invitation, and he’d most likely cry

He really wishes his siblings and mother were still around to witness his marriage

The wind pillar is super excited to start living that married couple life, specially if the pair wasn’t living together yet.

He adores calling her his wife! He always makes sure to introduce her as such, and his heart swells with pride when she calls him her husband.

Inspiration had been running low for a while and I just didn’t feel like anything I wrote was worth posting. Having said that, Im officially back! Im going to be slowly working through my ask box, and I hope to open it again when I come back from NYC in mid February.
