Oh!!! Look at this place!!! The lights are so pretty!! I can't go down and be around the humans though !đ« Something here smells really good too, but I can't pin down what it is, because it's all over the place! Scribe keeps looking at me funny, too, like vo thinks I said something funny. There's another smell here too, and I sense something weirdâit feels powerful, and vengeful.đš I'm kinda scared, but I want to see more of this pretty place!đ„ș

Ohhh, this mountain looks just as cool as the last one! Weird that I haven't seen any snow again yet, I'm getting a little too warm. đ
That said, there's something kinda odd about this mountain? There's these strings that are all over the place! What're those about? I'd have thought it was just spider silk if it wasn't for how large it isâand it kinda smells like it has blood on it in places??

Traveling around is a lot harder and more exhausting than I realized! And I completely had no idea what Scribe was doing, fiddling with this device for a while. Something about charting our experiences and anything I remember? I did that first bit and then forgot this existed, ha! But!! I figured out what I'm gonna do. Post pictures of the places we see!

Like this forest we passed by when we were passing this one mountain! Scribe told me not to go up close to them though, and we had to not go up the mountain at all! Going around it is so slow! I wonder why I can't go near these? They're so pretty! How can pretty flowers be dangerous?

đ Is there any genres the mun doesnât enjoy writing but you enjoy being part of? and đ„ How would you spend one day with the mun if you could?Â
đ: Oh! That's a bit hard to answerâsince I'm still pretty new for mod Scribe to be writing in general. I think I'd probably have to say that I'd enjoy probably enjoy being in a Monster Thriller/Horror genre of writing! I'd get to be big and fierce! Mod Scribe doesn't like the idea of me being in such writing because that means I'd have to be the villain and be defeated :T Vos pretty against the idea of writing a story where I have to be the evil thing that needs to die. All of voi attempts to come up with Swap AUs, for instance, have wound up finding justifications for letting me live!
đ„: Oooo, at the beach! We both really want to go swimming, though it's not quite stable enough weather-wise where mod Scribe lives for it sadly :T I love when she takes the time to check on our blog and to write me!
(Mod Scribe is being referred to using Voidself neo pronouns. Vos is pronounced as V-oh-ss and Voi as V-oy (as in joy). Vo is being utilized like she or they and Voi like her would be used âSincerely Scribe)

Scribe's Journal, The Spirit Senses
The Spirit Senses are known by many names and have become rarer and rarer over time. Those who claim the spirit senses have access that which overlaps the world of the livingâYokai, ill and benign, Lost or Vengeful Souls seeking that which they left unfinished, and the lingering traces of the gods.
Those with Spirit Sight can see them.
Those with Spirit Hearing can hear them.
Those with Spirit Touch can feel them.
It's still quite common for someone to have at least a hint of these, but the abilities are often too weak to allow for sustained perception. I wonder... Can Kumo perceive me because of...?

Scribe
Scribe is neither human, demon, nor both. They're alive, and that's about all anyone knows.
Yushiro could probably perceive them just fine, given what his Demon Blood Art deals with. At the very least he'd be able to sense they were around.
Scribe studies the habits, behaviors, and interactions of demons out of curiosity. They're dedicated to unraveling just how much of a person remains after the transition from human to demon.
Scribe's favorite color is magenta.
Scribe doesn't need to eat, but enjoys eating anyways. Their favorite food is ramen.
Scribe serves as a vessel to flesh out things about Kumo that wouldn't make sense to flesh out from Kumo's POV, drop hints about unusual things about Kumo that I'm impatient to display through Kumo directly, and ultimately just to let me have variety
Any asks that address Scribe directly will be treated as something to be answered out-of-character, regardless of context
Kumo
Kumo is extremely shy and unlikely to initiate an interaction with someone entirely brand new to herâespecially another demon and especially, especially if they're very obviously more powerful (not hard, she's a very new demon)
Kumo is the main character of this blog, and will be the one answering roleplay based asks
Kumo has ESP (colloquially called Second Sight depending on context the phrase Second Sight was learned in, I got it from the Shonen Onmyoji English Dub), but it only extends to being able to see/hear/interact with the preternatural/supernatural outside of demons
Kumo's ESP is left over from her life as a human.
Kumo is an adult, but having amnesia is a bit of a bitch so she's allowed to be immature and timid
Kumo's desire to find her brother eclipses her hunger in technicality, but only functionally works if she's actively thinking about him
Kumo is 6'9" (~2.1 m/205.7 cm), her double-headed axe has a 5'8" (~1.7 m/172.7 cm) pole/handle
Kumo is so clueless about being a demon that she doesn't know who Muzan is; she's definitely get deja vu from him if she ever met him though
Kumo didn't eat anyone from the village at the base of Mount Kumotori & was spooked away so easily because she was actively trying to think through her hunger; she was so very confused
Kumo thought she recognized Subaro, the one who made a scene about her and scared her off in the first place

Something Missing
When Kumo woke up, she was laying on her side in the snow. Her memory was blank and her body had aches that were rapidly fading. The smell of decay and copper hung heavily in the air, snow stained pink and red. Underneath the copper and death, there was the faint, slowly faded scent of fire and smoke and something cooked.
When Kumo stood, it was at a height that made her feel off. As if she should not be so tall. Her hair hung around her face, twisted and tangled together. Walking towards the source of the scent of death was short, less than a minute. The trees had just barely obscured a small house with broken doors and large charcoal burner. Just there, to the right, was snow that had been moved away. Five mounds lay neatly in a row.
Something's missing.
The thought took her by surprise, before it was squashed by grief. Why was she grieving? What was she grieving? What was missing? Kumo didn't know then, she wasn't Kumo then. It was hard to think, to reason, when the copper smell of blood hung in the air. Hungry. She was so, so hungry.
There's no food here.
There was a path to the left, though. If there was no food here, then there would be food somewhere else. She was sure she would be able to think much easier, remember much easier, when her stomach was full.

Memory Fragment #1
He smells like smoke and soot and morning dew, my brother. His laughter is light and loud when his joy cannot be contained, but it is soft when he is content. Being with him is like standing in the summer's sun.

A Note From Mod Scribe
I have little factoids regarding Kumo set up in my que to drip feed this blog various bits of information that I think people will find interesting. One post from the que will be posted a day if I keep it consistently fed. I don't generally know my way around roleplay blogs, and have nerves about interactions, so while I'm gathering my courage I'm going to try to ensure there's at least something interesting to look at on this blog.

Scribe's Journal, Entry #1
Kumo, although she can come off as fairly young in demeanor and speech at times, has proven to be quite thoughtful. Demons seem to retain their subconscious memory nearly entirely, so things ingrained in them as humans seem to have carried over into their demon-hood. I am uncertain of the reason for which Kumo retains the knowledge she had a little brother. I cannot seem to bring myself to tell her that demons eat humans, and I feel bad for half-lying to her.
While it is true that I have never met a demon proper in the way I know her, I have studied the behaviors of many demons from afar. Well, afar as far as the demon is concerned. I wonder what allows for her to perceive me. I should tell her that demons eat humans, that she likely ate her own little brother. Telling her seems quite cruelâperhaps the fact that she clearly hasn't eaten since despite the village she surely smelled that we past. Why is it that she is not driven feral when she is clearly so newly turned?

A Demon and Her Scribe [An Introduction]
In a snowy forest, the footprints of a large wolf vanish suddenly and give way to something more bipedal. Something even larger. Farther ahead, where the trees part to form a clearing, a strange creature bearing both the visage of a person and a wolf crouches. The soft crunching of snow that had been the only sound came to a slow stop.
O-oh! There's someone else out here, after all? I thought I was all on my lonesome here, in this forest and on this mountain. I am...Kumo. Call me Kumoâas I'm the demon of this mountain, Kumotori. At least, that's what I think I am. I'm still...trying to sort myself out, as I seem to have lost my memoriesâsave for one very precious one, the memory that I have a brother. A little brother. I'm...I'm not sure where he's gone. I need to find him, though. He needs me.
You're quite a striking sight, Kumo. I don't think I've ever met a demon beforeâplease, call me Scribe. I'm sorry that you've been separated from your brother... I am a wandererâperhaps, as you look for him, you'd like some company?
O-oh! That's quite kind, Scribe. I... Yes, I would like the company. Perhaps you can also help me figure out what I can eatâI'm oh so hungry, but I can't figure out what's edible for me.
Their voices slowly fade into the distance as Scribe speaks, the two walking together into the forest. Neither is quite sure what will come, but Kumo has found some hope.
