The local mall is trapped in the Nineties and feels like it might be full of Controllers. It also has a Cinnabon. So I went to Cinnabon.
Tiny! Sarifel approves. But now I can't get near them. Don't let appearances fool you, that tail-blade could give you a nasty paper cut.

Blissfully Ignorant “Animorphs” AU - The war isn’t that bad, everybody lives, and they become semi-functioning, semi-adults that go to college and have shenanigans and cinnamon bunzuh.

“Don’t kill a sentient creature except in absolute self-defense, try not to wipe out endangered species, and if you’re going to raise animals for food, treat them as well as you possibly can. But if you’re a starving wolf wandering around the frozen Arctic, and you see a meal, eat it.”
infinitely more dangerous: a Cassie mix

We may be a small fandom, but we are here for you nonetheless. Reading the books as an adult is strange because now all I can think about is how fighting a war against an intergalactic species robbed the Animorphs of their respective childhoods. As a kid, the nuance of the weight and burden(s) they carried were lost on me; don't get me wrong, I always recognized their position was dire, but never as tragic as I view it now. TL;DR - Less "COOL, NEW MORPH!" and more "These KIDS are warriors!"
this honestly stopped being “WOW NEW MORPH!!” after tobias got stuck as a hawk khjkghfuigbf
i can’t believe these children have to almost die every book, geez. i guess it happens when you’re trying to save the earth and keep a lot of young readers interested, but these kids just cannot catch a break. i want to adopt them all jhuahfnafn
thank you so much 8′)
rn i’m taking a break reading + blogging about animorphs because of finals, but after next week i am ready to get my heart broken all over again
