The Madeleine ship set sail from Europe to Gaza, attempting to break the blockade. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was on board. They set sail hoping to achieve even a little help for us, but unfortunately, the Nazi Zionist army kidnapped them from the territorial waters adjacent to the shores of Gaza. They will be handed over to the Israeli police immediately after their arrival, and they will be taken out and returned via Ben Gurion Airport to their countries. Their efforts will be in vain, and this will be met with silence and great international inaction, as every time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you have read the article and heard what the activist Greta Thunberg said, you will know how terrible this occupation is that prevents us from eating and drinking. We are dying of hunger, without exaggeration. We are really dying. We stay all day on lentil soup, and we often go two days without eating a meal that includes bread. Imagine that you are going through such a situation. How would you feel? I am here today to ask you to help me, even a little. Donate to me so that I can buy flour and eat bread, knowing that the price of a 50-kilo bag of flour has exceeded 1,500 euros. We are a family of 7 people and we need to stay alive by eating even one meal a day. Please help me and donate to me.

The war on Gaza 🇵🇸has returned... fiercer than ever.
As if it’s the very first day all over again.
The bombs are louder, the sky darker, the pain deeper...
We are reliving the nightmare — losing our loved ones, our homes, our dreams... again.
My story is not just a story — it’s a cry for help, a scream of pain, a call to humanity.
Please... share my story. Let the world see what we’re going through.
Gaza is bleeding.
We are not numbers.
We are lives. We are souls. We are families.
#SaveGaza #GazaUnderAttack #ShareMyStory
Please don’t leave us alone...
Please, share this...
Broken hearts, shattered lives… and the world stays silent
💔💔😔😢🕊️

My name is Mahmoud Al-Halaq, from Palestine - Gaza - I am 29 years old. This message is addressed to every person who carries compassion, kindness, and love in their heart. After 470 days of war on Gaza, the destruction that has occurred, the displacement we have faced, moving from one place to another, and the loss and death of loved ones and friends, I found myself alone without a home or place, and even the prices of food are astronomical. The world has changed so much that life has become gloomy and boring. Therefore, I ask for your help in rebuilding myself, my life, and my family's life anew. You are our remaining hope in life. If there were an opportunity to work, I would not waste a minute nor ask for help from anyone, but I urgently need assistance for my family, my children, and the women to rebuild what has been destroyed and crushed in this devastating and painful war. Thank you for your time and support; we draw our strength and resilience from your support. 🍉
Please donate

Stop please a little 👋
We all have hearts and minds, but not all of us can use them to think clearly. Gaza needs you and your humanity and your heart to feel some humanity. Don't forget that Eid al-Adha is approaching, but there isn't one while children are dying every day This isOur children live among the rubble No food or clothes for Eid the children of the world are now enjoying themselves and in safety and security. The picture is more eloquent than any words and the pain of Gaza needs no translation.💔🍉
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supports us in these difficult circumstances. May God reward you. 🫶🇵🇸

You CANNOT separate art from the artist when the artist is still alive and producing new media to profit off.
So on that note, do NOT watch the new Harry Potter series. Do not hate watch it. Do not watch it because “it’s going to be my childhood remade”. I do not care. Do not watch it. This is a direct move to erase the original trio who have all stood against jkr.

Hi! why don’t you view muggle borns to have similar/same experiences to poc? (I’m a poc myself and it’s been a while since I read Hp but I always though that the whole mud blood/blood purity thing was basically magic racism) I’ve read you state that the muggle borns are still privileged, which is true (they are allowed to use magic) but I don’t understand why you don’t view them to be like poc immigrants? Technically we have the same rights but there is still a large discrimination against poc.
Well i’ve talkes about this before but reason I hesitate to fully equate muggle-borns with POC isn’t to diminish their oppression, but to highlight how the dynamics in Harry Potter often reflect a white, Eurocentric understanding of marginalization, one that doesn’t map neatly onto real-world systems of racialized power. POC people have a huge differences socially and politically comparing to Muggle borns:
1- Muggle-borns aren’t marked by phenotype. Unlike POC in most societies, muggle-borns aren’t visibly different. This means their oppression is not based on appearance or racialized embodiment, but on genealogy, something that can often remain invisible unless revealed. This invisibility grants them a level of conditional safety or social mobility that POC don’t usually have.
2- Once accepted into Hogwarts, muggle-borns are granted access to magical education, magical spaces, and magical tools. They’re not structurally excluded from power in the same way that colonized or racialized people often are. In fact, many muggle-borns go on to hold positions of influence and they’re full part of the magical community with no apartheid or polítical discriminative laws. That would be much less likely in most real-world systems of racial hierarchy.
3- Rowling doesn’t construct systemic racism but she does build a caste-like system with magical creatures. The only truly structural and racialized oppression Rowling writes into her universe is actually directed at non-human magical beings like house-elves, goblins, werewolves or centaurs.
These creatures are sentient, autonomous, and often possess their own forms of magic, yet they are completely excluded from the social and political rights of wizarding society. They don’t attend Hogwarts, don’t get representation in government and are explicitly treated as second-class beings. In the case of house-elves, we’re talking about literal enslavement.
Now here’s the key contrast: muggle-borns are fully integrated into wizarding institutions. They attend Hogwarts, can rise to power and are even allowed to own house-elves themselves. That last point is crucial: muggle-borns are given not only access to magical privilege, but also to participate in oppressive structures. They are allowed to own magical beings as property.
That alone marks a radical difference from real-world POC, colonized people, or victims of imperialism, who have historically been the ones enslaved, disenfranchised, or systematically denied access to education, mobility, and political power. You can’t draw a clean metaphor when the supposedly oppressed group is allowed to exploit another underclass without consequence.
So while Rowling wants the “blood purity” theme to evoke fascism and racial ideology, she actually fails to create the kind of systemic marginalization that defines real-world racial hierarchies. Ironically, the closest thing to racialized, caste-based oppression in the Harry Potter universe is what happens to magical creatures, and the fact that this is rarely addressed critically in the books says a lot.
4- Most muggle-borns we meet (Hermione, Lily, Colin Creevey, etc.) are white. This matters because Rowling doesn’t actually explore the intersection of muggle-born status with racial identity. A black or brown muggle-born would arguably experience layered discrimination—both muggle-born bias and racialized exclusion—but the text never acknowledges that. It uses racism as an allegory, but doesn’t actually include race itself in meaningful ways.
And all of this are crucial points because when stories try to simplify or misrepresent oppression, they risk diluting our understanding of how real systems of domination work. Representation isn’t just about having metaphors for injustice, it’s about having accurate, responsible ones. And in Harry Potter, the metaphor ultimately fails because it flattens the complexity of real-world racism into a framework that centers magical access over structural inequality. And Rowling constructs this metaphor of oppression around characters who are themselves members of a privileged magical elite. The so-called “resistance” in Harry Potter is not a radical challenge to the system, it’s a battle between two elite factions: aristocracy vs. meritocratic bourgeoisie. There is no revolutionary impulse, no narrative critique of the underlying structures of magical society. The “oppressed” muggle-borns aren’t fighting to dismantle the system, they are simply seeking equal access to its privileges, including those built on the backs of other marginalized beings. The story never interrogates the deeper hierarchies of magical power, it simply reshuffles who gets to be on top.
This ultimately weakens the metaphor, because it misrepresents how oppression works. It centers the struggle on inclusion within elite institutions rather than questioning the institutions themselves. In doing so, it fails to offer a meaningful or accurate framework for understanding real-world systems of inequality, nd instead reproduces many of their logics under the guise of fantasy. But I’m a hard leftist so what can i say about this topics? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Propaganda I’m not falling for:
– Severus Snape as a confident man who’s got everything under control
– Severus Snape as a cold, caustic type who never loses his temper or composure
– Masculine Severus Snape
– Severus Snape as some kind of aloof male lead straight out of a cheap dark romance novel
– Severus Snape as emotionally mature
– Severus Snape not getting jealous at the drop of a hat because of his unresolved insecurities
– Severus Snape being able to control himself when something triggers him due to his deep-rooted trauma
– Severus Snape as some posh upper-class guy
– Severus Snape acting like a middle-class Londoner in the muggle world instead of the scrappy working-class kid from the slums that he actually is
– Buff, muscled Severus Snape instead of the scrawny stick of a man every elderly lady would tell to eat more
– Severus Snape as a functional adult
– Severus Snape knowing how to manage his emotions
– Severus Snape falling for someone who isn’t another dysfunctional little freak just like him
– Severus Snape’s trauma being written as a source of mystery instead of what it really is: just deeply pathetic
– Byronic Severus Snape
– Severus Snape as a character out of a Brontë novel
– Severus Snape without episodes of uncontrolled rage
– Severus Snape as some sexualised version of Edward Cullen instead of the scrawny, rabid alley cat he truly is.
