(0.2) The mortals & The eight wizards. 

It was a sunny morning and all ten boys were awake - something a little rare since they all usually woke up hours apart. The ten were all in the kitchen, the seven older boys sat at the island whilst the three youngest ( neo , jaed , & jeongin ) were making breakfast for everyone.

“aAh! I’m about to rip my ears off,” Hyunjin groaned in frustration, covering his hands over his ears. “need help?” Neo responded sarcastically, raising the volume of the music he was playing that Hyunjin had just complained about. 

“you know you could just shut up,” Jaed added, turning to face the boy sitting across the island. Which was a bit shocking to all of them being they all knew about his crush on Hyunjin. “or make your own breakfast,” Neo continued as Jaed served Hyunjin’s plate. “he’d probably just burn the kitchen down,” Jeongin joked, chuckling as he and Neo served the rest of the boy’s plates. “good point,” Neo laughed at Jeongin’s comment. 

Hyunjin rolled his eyes as the three youngest took shots at him, “I’m not that bad of a cook,” Hyunjin shot back at them as he grabbed his plate, taking it to sit down the kitchen table. “sure,” Jeongin laughed. 

Hyunjin was a little upset by the way Jaed was suddenly acting towards him but he didn't show it, just eating his breakfast quietly.

The rest of the group soon sat down at the kitchen table and ate their breakfast. "so, I feel we should address the elephant in the room" Minho spoke up, purely just wanting to tease their youngest. "where?" Jeongin called out as he looked around the room in reaction, the other boys laughing at him as Jaed grabbed his face to look back at the table.

"it's metaphorical," Jaed explained, sighing softly as they all kept eating.

"What elephant?" Jisung spoke up with a small chuckle, still laughing a bit at the younger boy. "That kiss that happened yesterday," Minho answered which cause Jaed to choke on his food and Felix and Neo to widen their eyes in shock.

"oh, yeah-" Chan laughed as he noticed the two boy's shocked reaction, "you guys were in your room," He continued with a small chuckle. "Who kissed?" Felix asked, completely shocked as he dropped his fork onto his plate.

Neo sat there in his own personal silence as the rest of the boys talked, trying to piece it together himself.

Jeongin had no reaction when the kiss was brought up, still not having completely processed the moment from yesterday.

So, Neo just pieced together with what he noticed like Jaed choking and Hyunjin staying silent when it was brought up.

"did you kiss the Oompa Loompa?!" The boy shouted in shock as his head whipped to look at his cousin.

Jaed's eyes widened as he frantically shook his head, "no!" He shouted back in reply, Neo just sitting looking back down at his plate.

"it wasn't even a kiss.." Hyunjin muttered, pushing his food around on his plate with his fork.

"wait- so who 'kissed'" Felix repeated his question, using finger quotes with the word. Neo began paying attention again, now extremely curious about the answer.

"Jeongin and Jaed," Minho answered with a small smirk on his face as Jeongin began blushing, Jaed's eyes going wide.

"It wasn't a kiss." Hyunjin huffed, obviously upset as he got up from the table, tossing his dishes into the sink before storming off to his bedroom, the entire group watching his little scene.

"It was totally a kiss," Jisung muttered as he turned his focus back to the table, the seven boys all looking to their two youngest. "so, what?" Jaed shrugged as his eyes looked back down at his plate, just continuing to eat. "yeah, so, what?" Jeongin mimicked what the boy said.

Jaed gave a small smile as he kept eating, his hand moving down to rest on Jeongin's leg. The boys didn't really notice where his hand went, all of them just focused on how the boys were glancing at each other as they all ate their breakfast.

A couple hours had passed since the incident in the kitchen, all the boys giving Hyunjin some space after his outburst at breakfast.

Well, almost all of them.

"do you want to play a game with me?" Jeongin asked as he peeked his head into Hyunjin's room. "what's the game called?" Hyunjin questioned with fake enthusiasm as he stood up from his bed to walk further to the door where Jeongin was.

The younger boy moved to fully stand in front of his room, staring at the boy as he spoke again. "steal your best friend's boyfriend?" Hyunjin continued, obviously still livid, which he absolutely had no business being. "No-" Jeongin went to speak but was cut off by the older boy slamming the door in his face. "you're not even his boyfriend!" Jeongin shouted, pout on his lips before storming off to his bedroom. "what an asshole.." Jisung muttered, watching the entire scene play out from where he was sitting on the couch in the living room.

"what's wrong?" Chan asked as he walked into his shared room with Jeongin, noticing the younger looked upset and was laid down and curled up with a stuffed animal on his bed. "Hyunjin hates me because Jaed kissed me," Jeongin explained, squeezing his stuffy tighter.

Chan was a bit shocked by his answer, sitting down on his own bed. "I doubt he hates you," He assured the boy, trying to make him feel better. "he slammed the door on my face," He pouted at the older boy. "he's never done that to me," Jeongin explained, tears immediately starting to fall down his face now. He was trying hard not to cry, he hated crying, but it really hurt him how Hyunjin was treating him.

Chan cooed sympathetically as he got up from his bed to kneel in front of Jeongin, wiping away his tears. "why can't I ever just have a crush?" He pouted, sniffling as his nose was now runny from crying. "I don't know bub," Chan replied, sighing softly as he wiped his nose and tears.

Jaed was heading out of his room to look for Jeongin, walking down the hallway and towards the boy's room, noticing Chan babying him.

"what's wrong?" Jaed asked curiously as he walked further into the bedroom. "Hyunjin's being a bully," Chan answered, Jeongin immediately wiping away his tears as he sat up, not wanting Jaed to see him cry.

"n-no, he's not! i'm fine," Jeongin lied, doing his best to assure the boy. Jaed was only filled with anger, even though he wasn't a wizard like his friends, he could still sense lies.

"c'mon," Jaed said, reaching his hand out for Jeongin to take.

In which the boy did, assuming he believed him.

He didn't though.

Jeongin climbed off his bed as Jaed led him out the room and pull him down the hall.

Jaed stopped in front of Hyunjin and Jisung's room, attempting to open the door first but failing since he locked it. "jaed, what are you doing?" Jeongin asked curiously.

"don't worry," He gave him a small smile, starting to bang his fist on the door for the boy to unlock it

Jaed smiled when he heard Hyunjin groaning and getting up on the other side of the door before it finally swung open. The boy gave Hyunjin a fake smile like the older would usually give to others. "what the fuck do you two want?" Hyunjin asked as he saw the two youngest standing in his doorway.

Jaed was a bit surprised by his language. Hyunjin had never talked to him like that before. "nothing." Jaed responded, stopping Hyunjin from closing the door.

Jeongin was just standing there next to Jaed, holding his hand as he was unaware of what was about to happen. "so then what?" Hyunjin shrugged at them, giving Jeongin a glare.

Jaed chuckled softly before dropping Jeongin's hand and pulling him in close by his waist, kissing him softly and passionately. The boy held onto his hips gently, his lips moving against Jeongin's as he just followed what Jaed was doing.

This obviously angered Hyunjin but he didn't look away, watching the two make out in front of him like that only made him wish it was him that Jaed was kissing like that.

Soon enough Hyunjin couldn't bear the sight anymore, frustratedly slamming the door on them with a loud agonizing groan. "how's that for a kiss?" Jaed shouted for Hyunjin to hear as he pulled away, Jeongin just standing there all blushed and flustered as his hands rested on the boy's shoulders. "don't only kiss me in front of him.." Jeongin whispered softly as he looked up into the younger's eyes. "don't worry sweetheart~" He smirked at the boy before grabbing his hands again and leading him into his room.

LEE MINHO

Minho is 23, making him the second oldest of the group of ten.

Minho isn't much of a wizard in comparison to his friends. He's always been insecure about his mix since he's more human than he is a wizard. He never saw being human as a bad thing since his best friends are humans but he always wished mastering his powers was as easy as it is for full wizards.

Minho is a really bubbly and hyperactive person which is exactly why he gets along so well with [Jaed]. The two boys are extremely close and are basically brothers which actually has nothing to do with Minho basically saving Jaed's life the first time they met. The two were just extremely compatible since they met and have stuck on each other like glue since then. It's one of the main reasons the two share a room.

Minho is very close to all the other boys as well and gets along with everyone. He's extremely sweet and kind despite his scary demeanor and almost resting bitch face, and will definitely give his friends a hug or kiss the top of their head for no reason.

Minho is still mastering his powers and often gets help from Chan since he's the most powerful wizard in their house. His powers are also very limited since his human side has drowned out most of the bloodline.

The boy's main powers include shapeshifting and wind manipulation. He can control the weather sometimes depending on his mood and often causes rain showers whenever he's upset.

PARK JAEDEN

Jaeden is 19, making him the very youngest of the group.

Jaed is a mortal to his knowledge but is actually what supernatural experts call a sensitive white wizard. He has strong connections with the other side and can always sense something, whether it's a lie or that something is going on with someone. Despite the title of a white wizard, Jaed doesn't have the same powers as his friends would. It comes in handy when talking to his friends and can always help his friends figure out a solution to their problems. Now for the sensitive part, he can easily make contact with spirits and feed poltergeists with his energy depending on his mood. If he's angry, poltergeists can absorb that energy to make itself known like throwing books off shelves.

Jaed can also easily read people and warn others about rouble coming their way but is extremely fuzzy when it comes to himself.

He never looks out for himself and usually has to rely on his cousin Neo to watch out for him like a child. Jaed actually has no idea what he's like as a person and could never figure himself out. He and his cousin often blame his current situation on his shitty childhood which makes sense as to why he showcases childish and immature characteristics. Some find the situation annoying which is why Jaed has never lived without Neo, he sticks up for him all the time no matter who is talking about Jaed.

Jaed has a very strong connection with each of his friends, mostly Minho and Hyunjin though since he's known them the longest.

Jaed is very much obviously in love with Hyunjin and the whole house knows it. He's scared if they ever do have a relationship though because of how often Neo compares them to one another personality-wise and knows that people aren't very compatible when they're so much alike.

Jaed often runs to either Minho or Neo when he does have a problem he doesn't think he can work out himself.

NEO MURAKAMI

Neo is 19 with an early birthday like Jeongin, making him the middle child of the youngests in the group.

Neo is a very mature kept to boy.

They aren't really anything besides your average human with childhood trauma. He's very shy and awkward due to it though. They will never tell you right away that they use gender-neutral pronouns along with male pronouns because of how often their parents would disrespect their pronouns, they got used to not bringing it up. But, of course, if Jaed is around he will definitely alert people about his cousin's gender since it pisses him off when people disregard it.

Neo isn't really as romantic as his boyfriend, Felix, and as much as they appreciate the nice dates, he never expects it and would much rather just make brownies with Felix or play a video game with him.

The boy is a natural redhead and has never tampered with their hair besides some pink ends once for some summer fun. Everyone he comes across has always admired their red hair and while Neo likes his natural color, he never understood why it was so mesmerizing to other people. Neo doesn't talk too much around new people and it will take quite a while to pull that loud, chaotic, noisy boy out of his shell but once they warm up to you, you'll always be entertained and having fun with him.

[ JEONGIN ]

YANG JEONGIN.

Jeongin is the oldest of the youngest in the group since he's only 20.

Jeongin is a full wizard and recorded as the youngest wizard to master his powers and graduate a wizard school with all his powers mastered. Jeongin isn't considered the most powerful in the house since he's extremely rusty with what he doesn't use daily and since [Chan] was taught at home, he's seen as more powerful since it's considered one of the hardest ways to master wizardry.

Jeongin is a very bubbly boy who is often making noise or playing with something. He's never bored with how active he is and never fails to keep the house entertained. He's an extremely awkward boy when it comes to love and relationships though. He's openly gay and really doesn't care who knows. He has had a crush on each of the ten boys at least once while they've lived together, especially [Neo]. But, Jeongin has had a crush on him since they were introduced and only recently started falling for [Jaed].

Jeongin and Chan often talk while in bed when they're falling asleep since they both always have the most bizarre thoughts while laying down to go to sleep. Chan most definitely has a crush on him but Jeongin is completely clueless about it.

Jeongin doesn't use too much magic daily and usually does everything for himself manually.

[ SEUNGMIN ]

KIM SEUNGMIN.

Seungmin is 21, falling after Felix which makes him the youngest of the older-younger ones.

Seungmin is a full wizard who was adopted by humans when he was an infant. He grew up as a human and only recently discovered that he was a wizard. He always knew he was adopted though since he never looked anything like his parents nor siblings.

Seungmin has always been a quiet boy, [Changbin] being the only person he's ever really opened up to. The boy is extremely emotional and little things upset him easy so he spends most of his time in his room with Changbin since he'd rather not take the chance of one of the boys accidentally offending him.

Neither of the boys minded though and enjoyed staying in the room together, just talking, mastering their powers, making out, or even just taking a nap together.

The boys aren't exclusive but are very obviously in love and definitely not shy with PDA but they'd rather just not put a label on it.

Seungmin has been doing incredibly well with mastering his powers and enjoys learning it with Changbin.

FELIX LEE.

Felix is 21 as well, falling behind Jisung exactly one day after which makes him the third oldest of the younger ones, as well as the second youngest of the older ones.

Felix is a mix of a full wizard and a full wizard-half fairy.

The boy has mastered most of his wizard powers but likes to focus more on the perks he gets as a fairy. It intrigues him a lot more since no matter how much fairy he's mixed with, he has all the powers a full fairy would. As for being a wizard, the blood gets diluted with mixes besides supernaturals. So, he has just about the same powers as Hyunjin and Chan but some others as well from his fairy side.

Felix had met most of the boys through his boyfriend and roommate, [Neo]. Felix and Neo had already been dating for about a year before they moved in together with their friends.

Felix is an incredibly romantic and sweet person. He's always doing something cute for Neo or something nice for the entire house. Whether he's just making a batch of brownies as a dessert and letting Neo help him or getting all dressed up and taking Neo out to dinner, it's always something to make you fawn over the silver-haired boy.

Felix does indeed have natural silver hair from his fairy side since no fairy has a common natural hair color like blonde or black.

This has never stopped him from experimenting with hair dye even though he loves his natural color, he just has fun dyeing his hair and trying new colors.

It took Felix a long time to get a hang of his wizard powers and actually still attends a wizard school to help him master his powers. Felix has a very strong grip on his fairy powers and flies himself to school every day with the wings that extract out of his shoulder blades. He never has them out unless he's flying and has always been careful with them since he first realized he had wings.

HAN JISUNG.

Jisung is 21 as well, soon falling behind Hyunjin as the second oldest of the younger ones.

Han Jisung is a mix between a full shapeshifter and half-human half wizard. With the mix JIsung has, his most prominent power is shapeshifting, and quickly mastered it before puberty. Wizardry was always a hard power to master and would be even harder for wizards who weren't full, so, as a shapeshifter, wizardry was extremely complicated for Jisung to learn since he mastered his main power so quickly. He still works quite often at mastering wizardry but doesn't get much practice in because he always has [Hyunjin] around who will try to attempt the same things as Jisung which always just ends in chaos.

Jisung is a very kind and sweet boy. He always has an opinion no matter the topic but is always respectful to everyone no matter what his view is. He literally gets along with everyone and is always the first to cheer up his friends when they need it.

Jisung was never really pushed to master wizardry when he was growing up so he always pushed himself and now gives himself breaks quite often since he pushed himself so much when he was growing up.

[ HYUNJIN ]

HWANG HYUNJIN.

Hyunjin is 21, making him the oldest of the younger ones.

Hyunjin is a full wizard who grew up around full humans and was never pushed by his parents or school to master his powers.

The boy often uses his powers irresponsibly and for simple tasks that not even Chan would need magic to complete.

Even though he has so many powers, he has no idea how to use them and is constantly causing chaos whenever he attempts something new. He usually tests his powers in his bedroom which really pisses off [Jisung] since they share a room and he's always in there either playing a game or trying to take a nap whenever Hyunjin tries to test his limits.

Hyunjin is a very sweet boy with an extremely short temper. Every little thing upsets him and makes him want to cry which he masks with anger and drama. He's very confused about his sexuality which is very frustrating to Jaed since Hyunjin has always had a crush on him but his confusion never motivated him to do anything about it.

Hyunjin and Jaed have a very complicated relationship which sparked the first love triangle in their friend group. Hyunjin doesn't even realize what he does but most of the drama caused in the house is usually because of him.

SEO CHANGBIN.

Changbin is the third oldest out of the group, making him the youngest of the elders.

Changbin is a mix of a human and a full wizard, making his powers limited as well. Though his mastering process isn't as slow as Minho's since he's only half-human but Changbin did work a lot more at his powers when he was younger, so, he is a very strong wizard now despite the limit he has. Changbin still works at his powers just to make sure never gets rusty. The boy isn't the most social with the other boys in the house since he's usually in his room, working on his powers or helping his roommate (and basically boyfriend) [Seungmin] with mastering his powers.

The two barely ever leave their room except to eat or when they're taking a break from lessons.

Changbin is a very loving and lovable person, he's always interested in whatever his friends are interested in and can have a conversation about anything even if he has no knowledge on the topic.

His love language is communication so he'll spend hours talking to someone if he's fond of them and will often spend hours on end having meaningless conversations with Seungmin.

Changbin's main powers include teleportation, invisibility, and simple black magic. He could probably be the first mutt to master every single power that a full wizard has with how hard he works and how much Seungmin motivates him to get that title.

[ CHRIS ]

BANG CHAN / CHRISTOPHER BANG.

One out of Eight wizards. Chris is the oldest in the group of ten.

Chris is part of a long bloodline of full wizards, meaning he has any and every power you could possibly imagine, and, he has mastered each and every one. It took him a long time to master it all but it was worth it since his parents had promised to let him live on his own out of an all-wizard province.

Chris now lives in Seoul, South Korea with his 9 other friends. He is 24, making him the oldest of the 10. He shares a room with [Jeongin] and is usually either doing housework (voluntarily) or in his bedroom reading. He's very quiet and prefers to be alone. The boy doesn't get mad often but when he does, he's extremely scary and all the boys fear upsetting him.

Chan is a very upbeat and bubbly person overall, he hates seeing his friends hurt especially when it's a stupid little squabble, and since he always has to help them work it out. The boy has younger siblings that he visits whenever he can so he has quite some experience dealing with petty arguments between two younger people.

Chan gets stressed out pretty easily and will start to distance himself from his friend group with no hesitation to detox himself and feel comfortable around them again. This does upset them since the male can go weeks through detox without talking to them or doing things with them as much. They never express though since it's one f the very few things he does for himself.

Chris is just a very cool person, he's extremely caring and kind and is always putting others before himself no matter how much the other boys urge him to take care of himself.

Chris' main powers include teleportation, time manipulation, flying, simple black magic, and shapeshifting.

“FISH IN THE SEA”

(0.1) The mortals & The eight wizards

The group of ten were currently sat in the living room of the apartment they shared. Luckily, it was pretty easy living together and fitting ten boys in one condo wasn’t much of a problem since they were all close enough to room together and half the time would usually sleep in another’s bed at night. The house was never too noisy or chaotic, they all had known each other so long so they all got along - for the most part. 

"um- question," Hyunjin started his sentence, raising his hand up to catch his hyung's attention. "why are we friends with thing 1 & 2?" He continued, lips pursing as Chan sent him a glare. "hey! you're no cup of tea either!" Neo shouted out in response. "good because i don't drink tea," Hyunjin responded in a cocky tone, leaning his head slightly to the right as he faked a smile to the boy on the other side of the couch. 

"oh, that's right - americano joa joa," Neo teased Hyunjin back, mocking his voice. 

"jaed, there's nothing you can do about your cousin?" Han asked, not too entertained by the bickering from Hyunjin and Neo. "did he pull the americano card already?" Jaed asked, not having been paying attention to the two boys on either sides of him. "yeah," Han said, quirking a brow, wondering how that played part in whether or not he could stop the bickering. 

The boy was sat between the bickering friends, pursing his lips before speaking "you're doomed," he said, turning to Hyunjin and patting his shoulder. "Neo's definitely getting the last word," He added, pulling his hand away as Hyunjin glared slightly at Neo. 

"you mortal's are so odd!" Hyunjin groaned in frustration. "thanks, i appreciate it," Neo said, smiling fakely at Hyunjin. 

"told you," Jaed said as he looked at Hyunjin, pursing his lips again. Hyunjin not knowing what else to say. "karma nipped you right in the bud," Jeongin laughed at Hyunjin, sitting down on the armrest beside Neo.

 "Baby bread, don't defend me - that won't help your case," Neo said, turning to look at the younger. "what do you mean? i'm not doing anything," He responded; pretending to be clueless. "Jeongin, you already know i'm dating Felix, whatever you do won't make me be with you instead," Neo explained, patting the boy's shoulder before getting up to leave the living room, leaving the youngest with a sad frown. "hey, why don't you flirt with Jaed!" Lee Know joked. "He's basically Neo just with less noticeable freckles and darker hair," He added as he laughed. 

Jeongin looked up at the boy sat next to Hyunjin, examining his look. He did have to admit with the thought in his mind; the two could be mistaken as twins if he hadn’t known they were cousins. 

"he's joking!" Hyunjin shouted as he noticed how Jeongin's expression changed as he started staring at the boy next to him. "don't flirt with Jaed!" He exclaimed, sounding a bit upset. 

"why?" Jaed asked, turning to look at Hyunjin with a quirked brow. "just .. cause - uh - uhm - because!" He stammered out in response. "not valid enough," Jaed shook his head, standing up from his seat on the couch and walking to the youngest sat on the armrest not too far from his previous place.

 Jeongin had thought about what Lee Know had said about Jaed. ‘Jaed's a lot nicer though, they’re similar visual wise not too much persona though.’ He thought to himself.

 Jaed smirked at Hyunjin as he watched the boy with envious eyes, hooking his index finger under Jeongins chin, making him look up at him. Jaed smiled at the younger before leaning closer and placing a small peck onto his lips, an eruption of ‘ooh’s ‘ coming from the rest of the six. Jeongin had no idea how to react as he just let his hyung do what he wanted. "mm, soft," He chuckled as he looked right at Hyunjin with a cocky smile. He moved his hand from the boy's face and exited the living room, leaving to bother his cousin & most likely his boyfriend, Felix, as well. 

“why do you even show interest in that oompa loompa?” Neo asked with a slight sigh of disgust, mainly focused on the video game he was playing with Felix while still holding a conversation with his cousin who was sulking in the bed behind the gaming chairs located right in front of the tv. 

“i’m not even sure anymore,” Jaed grunted in frustration, “one day; he likes me but the next; i’m just a friend and he’s calling me thing 2″ He sighed out as he thought back on the moment that had happened out in the living room just a few minutes ago. 

“gosh, i wish i could just walk into the perfect relationship the way you and Felix did,” Jaed groaned in agony. 

“try dating someone who’s more like you,” Neo said with a very slight tone, too focused on the game to even sound human. “someone who suits your personality more,” He added, words fading into a silence from Neo as his game with his boyfriend got more intense. 

“maybe you’re right,” Jaed mumbled before leaving the couple to their game, going to his shared room with Minho. “who’s more like me? ..personality wise?” he thought aloud to himself, sitting down slowly onto his bed, deep in his thoughts. “jeongin’s a bit like you,” Said a muffled voice, followed by Minho popping up from under his sheets. His bed was usually cluttered so you could never tell if it was the boy’s body under the sheets or just a pile of laundry. “what the hell!” Jaed yelled in reaction as he assumed he was alone since Minho wasn’t visible. 

“Jeongin’s like you personality wise and very different from Hyunjin,” MInho repeated, ignoring the boy’s reaction. MInho stared at his friend with a small smirk as he waited for a response, he really wanted to see the maknaes in a relationship since they were pretty close to being the same person - personality wise. “well, you are right,” He sighed as he agreed on the older’s comment. He didn’t think the thought of a person would even come up so quick - he did just get the advice barely five minutes ago. 

Jaed wanted to at least explore the ocean a bit, not even wanting to let go of his crush on Hyunjin just yet - but Hyunjin hadn’t been showing much interest in him lately besides just a while ago when he didn’t want Jeongin flirting with him - Though it could just be a territory thing rather than a jealousy thing.
