Describe a time when your character was right, or did something that was right. How did they react to this situation? What ramifications did this situation have on them?

Hmm this is a good question haha

Its kind of a double edged sword for Rhi- she (along with her step brother Deter) stood up to his father (her step father) after Deter came out as fast to their parents.

His father was berating Deter, saying no son of his was gonna be a f*g. Rhi spoke up in Deter's defense, giving Deter the strength to do the same. It made her feel good to have FINALLY stood up to the monster that had terrorized them for so much of their life.

However, the ramification was... it caused a huge fight that lead to Deter mentally snapping, killing the father seeing the house on fire, killing Rhi's mother. Rhi and Deter barely made it out, Rhi was knocked unconscious for several days.

Over this days, Deter realized what he had done, and couldn't face prison, so he ended up taking his own life. Leaving Rhi without any of her family she grew up with.

When she awoken days later, Earl Whitehorse (her uncle) broke the news to her.

She feels that she still did the right thing in standing up to her step father, but its left a scar in her psyche that everyone she loves could die if she always stands up for what's right.

Her stint as Deputy with her uncle made her realize that bad comes with God. If everything is always good, you never fully appreciate it.

I love your OC! I was wondering if you have any advice for making one?

Oh my gosh thank you so much 🥺 im so glad you love Rhi!

My advice is definitely get to know your OC. What do they like, dislike, their hobbies, their personality. I had help with developing Rhi, im still fairly new at making OCs tbh haha but I went on pintrest and looked up pictures like "Chinese take out boxes" because its Rhi's favorite food and made an aesthetic for her.

Then build from there, birthday, height, weight, face claim, background. Start thinking of how they would interact with certain characters. Its a learning process and it takes time. I've been working on Rhi since like March of this year haha

But thats my advice! And have fun with it, get info out about your oc and start getting people interested in them!
