It didn't affect her so why would she care....maybe she did care a little in her heart she was scared Lilith would go missing...She never had a good relationship with Lilith but she still cared about her even though Persephone was jealous of her.

Persephone thought at first it was just kids running away.....after all darry she didn't think any kid would want to be in darry if they had a choice....But when more and more started going missing she started to wonder what was really going on.
