Sonic is an inventive young colt, very excitable and knowledgeable about science and technology despite his young age. He's often seen as weak or small and he was often picked on when he was younger. Now however, he's earned a fair bit of respect for his almost scary good skills with inventing, and while he is kind he isn't afraid to use this knowledge to his own advantage. Sonic is witty, very very witty, and knows how to get things done. Don't mistake though, he's still very kind and would rather avoid a fight if he could manage to.

Tyler, to most people, is all brawn and no brain. He's a brutish sort of colt, making his presence well-known around the Isle by starting petty fights and openly berating those smaller than him. But make no mistake, Ty isn't dumb. He's just as cunning as his dear ol' papa Discord and knows how to keep others guessing. This is probably why he gets along so well with Mal. They've been close since they were little and have a bond that is closer than most on the Isle can say. While he'd never dare say it out loud, Tyler secretly hates that he's so feared and really just wants a hug or two.

Mal's entire existence circles around one idea: Conquer Equestria. She's very aware she's nothing but a pawn in Chrysalis' endgame, but secretly she holds out the hope that maybe she can earn the right to be more. A true heir to her mother, Mal is clearly one of the biggest deals on the isle. She acts all high and mighty but behind closed doors she's wracked with self-doubt. Mal is incredibly smart and just as manipulative as Chrysalis, but can't bring herself to hurt innocents. She wants to do the right thing, but just isn't sure how.

Uhhh so this account is getting revamped lol- 

The Skaiverse is on Hiatus for the forseeable future because it is honestly becoming such a hassle for me to wrap my brain around mentally. Plus trying to keep track of such a huge verse using one (1) Tumblr account (without the sorting resources of DA) feels waaaayyyy too chaotic for me.

Welcome to the Descendantsverse!

An Alternate MLP:FIM universe that is, if you couldn't tell, based off of the Disney Channel Descendants franchise. This is a sort of revival of a very very old version of this idea that I had made when Descendants first came out, hopefully with better results this time! If you don't know anything about Descendants, the basic premise is as follows: Belle and her Beast became rulers of the united Disney kingdoms (Auradon) and imprisoned all the Disney Villains on an island called The Isle of the Lost. The story picks up 21 years later, in which most if not all of the major heroes and villains have had children.

But, you ask, how did events similar to this come to pass in MLP?  Well, THAT is where some backstory kicks in:

The Descendantsverse takes place in a fairly darker version of the canon MLP events. When Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and Tirek teamed up; they managed to kill Cadence, Shining Armor and Flurry Heart all in one attack. This devastated Equestria even after the three were successfully defeated. This brutal murder changed the minds of Celestia and Luna in regards to their retirement, they forgot all about instating Twilight as supreme Queen and began to take...harsh measures against the baddies of Equestrian society. With the assistance of her long-lost lover, Good!Sombra, Celestia began to round up all the "bad creatures". From vicious murders like Chrysalis and Tirek to simple petty criminals like Flim, Flam or Glademane. Those who voiced support for discrimination and cruelty or even those who spoke up in disagreement of certain creatures' imprisonment were swiftly dealt with, a sort of paranoia overcoming the remaining princess in power. A large island with a magical barrier was installed, securing Equestria's safety. This isn't to say crime isn't existent in Equestria anymore, but the Isle's presence is a definite scare tactic. Even over two decades past the Isle's creation (when our story opens), a fear still resides around the residents of the Isle, and the technically innocent children of them. As Celestia and Sombra's son grows up he soon will make a decision that will change Equestria, for better or for worse.
