      feelings. interesting. though it should’ve been obvious, alex hadn’t really given it much thought before. she’d just liked spencer, enjoyed spending time with him, thought he was cute. why not go get ice cream with him? but she supposes in the end, that’s what it really boiled down to: feelings. it’s been so long since alex admitted to herself that she felt anything for someone beyond her usual air of friendliness that it almost takes her by surprise. “ yeah, i mean, i think it’s always scary. ” she’s smiling, but there’s a glint of worry behind it. “ you never know how people will react to that. ” it’s gone as quickly as it came, though, and alex grins as he wipes her mouth with the napkin. “ so far we’re doing pretty well, i’d say. and i’m not saying my impeccable taste might be tipping factor, but it definitely is. ” she teases lightly before digging back into her ice cream, waving him along to follow her outside.

“ i – yeah okay, that’s actually a good point. ” isabelle laughed gently and rolled her eyes, her cheeks continued to turn into a soft pink as what kennedy said made sense. she should have paid more attention, but her head had been elsewhere the last couple of days. when she opened her eyes, and he teased her about staring, she crossed her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes again. “ you are an idiot, you do know that, right? ” isabelle questioned and looked at him with wiggling eyebrows. taking a deep breath, isabelle blinked and she nodded at what he said about not being pleading about everything that was happening right now. “ yeah, uhh, it’s definitely a bit of a mess, huh? ” she spoke and licked her lips, before a groan fell from them and she tossed her head backwards before she leaned against the frame of the door. “ god, that’s definitely going to be a rollercoaster, huh? what about you? you’re going to be in the same room. you’re in it too, you know.  ”

      “ it’s alright, i’m not too bothered by that sort of thing anyway. ” a little shameless, maybe. he was used to having his own space because of his big empty house, but he’d been boarding since his freshman year of high school like everyone else. didn’t hate having roommates as much as he let on, actually –- the company was welcome. just maybe not under these circumstances. isabelle, though, posed pretty much no problems, and if she had the sense to dump fox, she was alright in his book. “ i’m a lot of things, is, but i’m definitely not an idiot. not my fault you turned red as a tomato. ” he snorts. “ yeah, it’s shit. i’m not too happy about it either, but my situation is less awkwardness and more irritation. i didn’t fuck him –- i just don’t like him.  you and cami, however... now that’s an uncomfortably small degree of separation between parts. ”

remy isn’t privy to the inner workings of hatchett’s administration, but he answers tatum’s question with confidence nonetheless. like he’s been a fly on the wall in the frantic board rooms and conference calls as the school works through the storm’s aftermath. he shrugs a shoulder, though does what he can to maintain his closeness to tatum as he does. “that’s what i would do - it’d just be better for everyone in the long run. safer, healthier, you know?” it would be odd, admittedly, to leave campus early, but remy’s surprised to find that the thought doesn’t unnerve him nearly as much as he’d expect. he’d miss his courses, his classmates, his friends, no doubt – but knowing he’d be leaving with tatum brings him a comfort that trumps all other rising anxieties. even now, in this busy room, full of physical and emotional chaos alike, he’s relatively settled and what little stress he does feel is hard to tease out. it makes it that much easier to be tatum’s anchor, a role he cherishes and falls into easily no matter what the circumstance. “i know, tate – as soon as it’s safe to, i’ll go with you and we’ll get everything together. and if anything’s messed up, we can go get it fixed up or replaced hm? i know it’ll be okay.” 

the weight of her eyes on him draws him out of his focus on her comfort, the question about his headspace instead keeping him there. it’s an uncomfortable place to be in, though the fact that it’s her eases it some. he shrugs again – still without distance, but just a tick more tense. “i’m…okay, honestly. i mean, it’s weird as fuck, but we haven’t really talked. my plan is to keep it that way. i don’t really have too much to say.”

    part of her wishes too that they’d just be home, probably in the comfort of one of fletcher’s guest bedrooms ( he hates when they call it that, he always insist the rooms are theirs ) but at the same time, tatum feels quite attached to the school. it’s been their escape since leaving their father’s house, and she doesn’t like the idea of leaving routine for longer than a week or two. “ maybe, yeah. fletch would be happy to have us there, i think. ” she smiles at that. something about the conversation has her suddenly wanting to call him. she’s sure she will tonight, then she’ll tell him everything and if remy can’t make her feel better, fletcher surely will. “ i like it here, though. not the rooms but.. i like being on campus. ” maybe she needs a lot more reassurance than the average person, but remy knows this and doesn’t let up. she already knows everything he’s saying is true, knew it before he said it, but it still feels good to hear. “ i’m sure it’ll be okay. i just don’t like not knowing. then i worry about it so much... ” if she just knew then she could worry about fixing it, instead of what if?

turning her attention to remy helps some. she knows with all of her own drama and turmoil, it’s easy for remy’s feelings to get neglected in the process. or rather, taken for granted. but her twin is only human –- she knows him so well that she doesn’t always buy his unaffected air, even when he does. “ i don’t want her to talk to you either. i think you’ll feel better that way, if you can get through without interacting... there’s not much to say, from the way you’ve made it sound. ” she frowns, now thoughtful. “ unless there is? ”

brynn’s eyes focus in on tatum’s reaction, and it takes her a moment to remember that she’s only wearing a towel. that would explain the blush currently tinting the cheeks of the girl in her doorway, though whether it’s from pure embarrassment or something more is still up in the air; further investigation is definitely needed. she can’t help the eyeroll that follows tatum naming her ex; it’s a knee-jerk reaction, honestly. “who knows; he’s not exactly know for punctuality or reliability.” she pushes the door open a little further and turns away, clutching her towel to her body as she walks further into the suite. “you’re welcome to wait, if you want. otherwise, close the door; not gonna let just anyone walk in and watch me dress.” she glances back at tatum in the doorway, shooting her a look that isn’t quite flirty but close enough.

      she’s met with an eyeroll at the mention of jude, but it doesn’t surprise or really faze her. it seems nobody is fond to do the secretary work of their less than desirable roommates –- tatum feels the same about most of hers. “ well, i didn’t make an appointment. ” it’s a meager defence as tatum follows her inside, blinking at her statement. she feels a little creepy after that, honestly, but if this is brynn’s way of being suggestive, she supposes she must not be stepping on toes as much as she thinks. still, tatum closes the door behind her gently before finding a seat at the table near the dorm’s kitchenette. there’s only two small chairs and a dining table that barely fits them, but she figures it’s a safe distance. she doesn’t want to go in jude’s room without his permission, and sitting with brynn would be sort of weird. “ you’re lucky your stuff is all still here. ” she says from the small glance she can catch through brynn’s open door. “ i’m living out of a bag. ”

genevieve listened intently as she took the wipes. “bug remy?” she offered a dry laugh, kind of shrugging her shoulders. “i mean i wasn’t planning on it…” genevieve trailed off. she wouldn’t call it ‘bugging’ really. besides, what happened between her and remy shouldn’t have been any of tate’s concern. something about their bond made genevieve jealous, perhaps because she never had any siblings or, for the last few years, not really much of a family. “but seriously, let me buy you a coffee or lunch, something?”

      “ i mean like, by talking to him. you hurt him. so that’s all i want. is for you to leave him be. ” she wasn’t stupid enough to think gen would go out of her way to bully remy or anything of the sort, but if she could help it, she wanted to keep their interactions to a minimum. make it easier to pretend none of this was happening. gen didn’t seem like the type to corner remy and cause trouble, but if she was forgetting things, remy was definitely the nicer one out of the two of them, and quite frankly tatum would rather give up her entire bag than give gen a reason to speak to him. “ no need for that, gen, i just want to get through this without even more of a headache. ”

“wow. congratulations. do you want a cookie for caring?” fox’s fuse, which is normally long and hard to ignite, is failing him after the events of the afternoon, and kenny’s repeated jabs aren’t helping. he wished kenny had just talked to him about this problem; he hadn’t realized there even was one until kenny had iced fox out of his life. then again, maybe it was fox’s fault for not being more observant. his vision had been eclipsed by cami back then. “do you want me to apologize? is that what you want? because i will. i’m sorry you felt abandoned and that i didn’t do a better job of keeping up our friendship. that wasn’t my intention. but i also don’t know what else i can do other than apologize… can’t we just let bygones be bygones?”

      kennedy narrows his eyes in clear irritation, scoffing at fox’s comment. in the end, kenny doesn’t really know what he wants from fox. to let things go and start over? it was a petty thing to hold onto, but being mostly solitary outside of his friendships meant kenny took them pretty seriously -- anything jeopardizing that felt like reason enough to hold a grudge. still, it had been years, and obviously fox was here ready to apologize. “ yeah, well, whatever it is now, i guess it doesn’t really matter. you and cami aren’t together anyways, karma took care of that, so i suppose there’s no reason to bother with you. ”

🍉  :    which of the four seasons suits my muse best,  and why?  

      summer ,  i’d  say. which is surprising since it’s so vibrant and joyous. tatum loves to travel, she loves freedom and companionship. she loves being alone, too, so i associate her with long walks in warm weather or reading a book out on the beach. but summer also brings heat, inability to cool down or escape what’s making you sweaty and agitated. the irritability of hot weather, sun blinding your eyes and all that definitely resonates with tatum.

🍌  :    is my muse inclined to help others,  or will they only do it when it benefits them,  if at all?  what makes them this way?  has it ever gotten them into trouble,  or inconvenienced them?

      the west siblings have an innate need to help others. while it may seem like tatum is the exception to that rule, she’s really not. at her core, she wants to help others more than anything, and she would selflessly protect anyone she cares about. the problem is with her realizing people need help to begin with. tate is so often in her own head, worried about her own problems, that she has trouble clueing in and realizing when people around her are struggling. it can be hard to put her stuff aside long enough to see it. but when she does, she’ll do anything to help.

    tatum  wants  nothing  more  than  romance, even if she doesn’t say it. she wants to love and be loved unconditionally.  she has an involuntary tendency to push people away to test them, which has foiled a few romances in the past. she doesn’t mean to do it, but she feels so severely flawed, her instinct is to display all those flaws as clearly as possible to see if they’ll still stick around. it’s part of her paranoia that makes her think if she doesn’t, they’ll end up finding out later rather than sooner and leave her when they’re deeper in.

🍓  :    how is my muse typically seen by others?  does it ring true to who they really are?  does their reputation matter to them?

      alex  is  often  seen  as  a  clown or a nuisance. most of the time, it’s pretty true, though since her reputation precedes her, some people don’t realize there’s a lot more to her. humor is a coping mechanism, definitely, and underneath it alex has quite a heart of gold. she’d never laugh at someone else’s expense, only likes to laugh with people, but her tendency to be immature and over the top sometimes makes people think her jokes are malicious in nature.

🥝  :    does my muse have any  ‘  unusual  ’  habits, interests,  and  /  or talents?  do they hide it,  or are they proud of it?  

       plenty  of  unusual  habits. alex likes anything weird or interesting or obscure, but she’s guilty of not really paying attention to things very long. she’ll be up and over on to the next thing before you know it. it’s not unsual but obviously she skateboards, and honestly she’s actually quite the dancer and surprisingly coordinated. the only reason why she hasn’t accidentally killed herself pulling the stunts she does. 

🍋  :    what kind of diet does my muse have?  do they eat regularly,  or the standard 2-3 meals a day?  do they have to be reminded to eat,  or are they likely to remind others?  do they cook,  or have others cook for them?  do they eat healthily,  or not so much?  

      her  meals  aren’t  regular  by any means. she eats a lot, mostly because of the munchies, but she doesn’t adhere to the typical mealtimes. it’s mostly two big meals with a ton of snacking in between. she tries to eat healthy, but taco bell gets the best of her more often than it should. her diet is sort of a trash heap but when she’s not totally lazy she makes the effort.

🍏  :    how stable is my muse’s physical health?  do they go for regular or semi-regular checkups by a physician?  do they have any diagnosed illnesses and / or take any medication?  how often do they get sick?

     kenny’s  health  is  pretty  good –- doctor household meant he generally learned to take care of himself from a young age. he isn’t on any longterm medications except some allergy meds, and he doesn’t get sick very often. his immune system is pretty stellar. even when he does, it’s hard to get him to rest –- he’s far too busy, and only rests properly if he absolutely has to in order to get better.

🍎  :    how stable is my muse’s mental health?  have they been diagnosed with any mental illnesses and  /  or conditions?  do they have any undiagnosed mental illnesses and  /  or conditions?  do they or should they attend therapy?

        his  mental  health  is  pretty  stable. occasionally the anxiety from his workload can build up, but overall, he’s probably one of my healthier muses lmao. of course he has his trials and tribulations, but there nothing that impacts him so severely it would be considered an illness or a longterm condition. he’s not opposed to therapy, though, if he felt he needed someone to talk to. 

🍑  :    how meticulously does my muse look after their physical appearance?  do they spend a lot of time on their hair,  makeup,  grooming,  and clothing?  is there a particular reason why they do or don’t?  

         kenny  takes  his  time ! overall, he’s not an extremely shallow person, but he does take pride in his appearance. looks aren’t everything but they are something. he doesn’t have time to spend hours upon hours, but he does set aside a reasonable amount of time to keep up hygiene, room and make himself look presentable. it’s not his top priority but it does matter to him to an extent. he also feels better and more productive when he feels he looks his best.

describe their closet.

      tatum  has  quite  a  mix. most of her closet, though, is neutrals so she can mix and match, but she has a fair amount of statement pieces as well. lots of denim and linen. lots of stripes and ruffles. boyfriend jeans and oversized tees. mostly comfortable wear with a feminine flair. she has a hard time getting rid of her clothes now that she actually has some money to buy them, though, so her closet can get stuffed.

thoughts on sports.

     relatively  indifferent. she did track and field in high school but didn’t really continue on. she didn’t have the money for most materials needed for sports so she never bothered. her sister is a dancer, though, and she loves to watch her.

how does their diet look like?

    tatum  tries  to  eat  healthy now that she has the means, but old habits die hard. cheap, processed food was a lot of her diet growing up, so the temptation is always there, but she always feels severely guilty eating it now when she has a choice and it’s often not worth the mental anguish she knows will come after. when she is anxious, stressed, sad or hopeless, eating is a fever dream. she deteriorates pretty quickly until the problem is fixed.

      surprisingly  big , though she doesn’t take it very seriously. her antics being filmed have made her somewhat of an internet sensation. most of her followers are on tiktok, but they’ve leaked into following her on other platforms, too.

     she’s  pretty  tech  savvy. she knows how to do all of the stuff she’s cared to learn, and obviously has a decent knowledge with her social media presence. plus, she plans on working in game design, so y’know.

    “  people  should  wear  whatever they want i guess, but ugg boots are a hard no from me. electric scooters aren’t the best look but i think their usefulness outweighs that. i do love starbucks but only for their specialty drinks if i want a treat, their actual plain coffee is shit. i don’t care what people do with their hair. selfie sticks are only okay if you’re a tourist over the age of forty. beanies are just hats, though not sure why people wear them in the summer. ”

   of  course  kenny  wants nothing more than to be a surgeon like his parents. his specialty is a bit different, since right now he’s set on neurosurgery. getting into medical school is really his next step and what he’s focused on, since he’s got plenty of years ahead of him before he accomplishes that.
