(Texas, USA) I love these crates. I use them as a room divider because my apartment is tiny. I painted them white and I use them for storage!

(Texas, USA) Got a cracked mug? I put cacti's in old coffee mugs when they crack and can no longer be used for hot drinks. Ya'll, it's a great way to repurpose little things like these

(Texas, USA) Be creative! I love this because it’s an old window that I made into a bulletin board. Hard to tell with all my crap but I found it without any glass panels so it was easy to put a bulletin in

(Texas, USA) This one is special because it is the base to my great grandmothers 1920s singer sewing table. I used to use it as a base to a kitchen table but now it’s a bar cart with a piece of reclaimed wood on top that I stained

(Texas, USA) I have a ton of reclaimed wood that I use for hanging tables - why buy them when you can just get reclaimed wood?? It's such a waste to see them go to waste. I have a ton of plants too. I like to put them in mason jars that I paint or cans like the one in this picture from an old Havana Club rum jar!

(Texas, USA) The pillows on top are made out of old band t-shirts! I made those when the shirts were too small for me but I wanted to keep them around somehow because I didn't have the heart to throw away the memories I had. They're super easy to make

(London, UK) I found this old bucket on the side of the road, perhaps from construction workers, and I decided to take it back home. We now use it to grow our tomato plant, perfect size for growing - and free!

(London, UK) My mum found this bed frame in a skip and we now use it as a framework to grow vines on. Although all of them have died because it's winter now - but during summer it's lush

(London, UK) This old chair was placed outside some residential houses, although it's a bit battered, I thought to myself "I need a chair for the garden" and there we go. I took it and now I have a lovely reading spot

(Lancashire, UK) I'm in need of a new desk but don't really want to be spending money so I found an old scaffolding plank that was in my brothers garage. I'm going to cut the wood in half and glue the two pieces together so it's better size for a desk

(Lancashire, UK) Walking past an alley way on my way home I stumbled past these old gruby legs, presumably used for a desk, with the house owner's permission I picked them up and took them home. I picked them up because I needed a desk and didn't want to buy one. I originally was going to buy some legs from a shop however when I saw these I thought they were the perfect opportunity to reduce waste even if they don't fit my aesthetic

(Hong Kong) I had a broken pant, but I didn't want the material to be a waste, so I tried to think of what did I need. Finally I made a mask, and a pack for my tableware.

(Hong Kong) I work in the property management industry. A wine-selling tenant had a lot of wooden boxes which would be disposed in the landfill if not properly reused. I collected their unused unused boxes to create these planters

(London, UK) The bottles were left over from the week before the second lockdown hit, we rightfully celebrated with a BANG! Though as the realities of staying in the flat became apparent, both my flat mates and i decided we should force fun, marking the end of the working week. A self celebration if you will! And so... we birthed 'New Year New Lockdown', a friday evening were we all got dressed up and ate glorified bread with copious toppings. For such event we need ambiance and so last weeks leftovers became this weeks candle holders!

(Taipei, Taiwan) In my family we tear paper from magazines and make them into tiny paper bags for trash boxes. It’s a family tradition, we like to read a lot so we always have piles of newspapers and magazines. Great way to get rid of the magazines but also serves another function

(London, UK) Using offcuts from denim clothing that has been sitting in my auntie's and mother's closet for years after they altered it when they were younger. I decided to create a new pair of jeans from the old clothes they used to wear, layering them up and adding new memories to them.
