Felt like maybe i could have used this book cover design however it wasn't really my style

I feel like i toyed around with a lot of different works i had done but never felt like a lot of them were good. This was off a booklet design for a Wim Crouwel inspired piece

This is a drawing/watercolour illustration that i really like from a small artist/ fashion designer called Fae Sapienta. I love this type of illustration and have been trying it out at home. I love how she doesn't draw the figures with a sense of realism, but draws them more as an animated person using different colours for shading. This type of illustration is what i would like to get good at

Boogie

Boogie is a recent artist that i found a year back. He is a professional photographer based in the USA. He takes photographs of mainly people for big brands such as Nike, Adidas etc. However i chose these two photographs here because it shows two images from his project: "Gangs." I was attracted to these photographs because it seemed so raw and in the moment. The first one shows two mates enjoying themselves in a subway and just hanging out. Also the second photograph shows a couple kissing with motion blur. I liked this one because it portrays the idea of young love and how powerful it can be.

Gregory Crewdson

I feel like Gregory Crewdson plays an important role in how i would like to take photographs. I like the idea of a scenario where you could literally create anything and manipulate the light, the scene etc. I guess that kind of ties into my love of surrealism and 70-80's vaporwave as well. The idea that you can make up a scene to make the viewer feel different emotions is cool

my main style

I feel like a lot of my work is based around visual imagery. My main strengths are photography, drawing etc. (things that you can see). With imagery the viewer can have feel more emotion, as they can have a sense of relation/relatable feelings towards it. When i take photography, i tend to take pictures in the moment, rather than staging pieces. This way i can portray what i might be feeling at the time and what i want the photograph to portray. This is similar to taking pictures of cars, which i have brought up recently. The way i look at cars, i almost view them as living beings/art. And when i take photographs of them i'd like to think that im taking pictures of their legacy and what makes them so great.

Method: Little brother in a suit. - photogtaph was taken at night time in a field when it was pitch black. photographed from a low angle, and a low shutter speed
