ISSUE 1: Manifesto of an Extraterrestrial OUT NOW

Spring 2023, 14 creatives got together to create something magical and other-worldly that captures the rawness of feeling alien and non-conforming. Our special project came together as Deviate Magazine’s first issue, a work centered around extraterrestrialism, fashion, and culture.

I’d personally describe it as a bad bitch’s diary, a creative’s Bible, and an intellectual’s Mecca. It’s juicy, it’s sexy, and most importantly, it’s REAL.

Deviate Magazine, in all forms, hopes to make a point that those who deviate from the norms and more traveled roads are neither inherently bad nor unacceptable.

Instead, we are the changers, inspirations, and the future. This magazine not only unites young creatives who spearhead and consume the magazine, but it will allow the our communities to enjoy art and literature from the lens of marginalized people.

Deviate allows us to be the authors of our own stories, and speak on our experiences through our own terms.
