That is correct. We are lesbians.
So does this make us, like, lesbians squared?
I- sure. Lesbians squared. Why not?

okay which of yall is most likely to start a bar fight or most likely to win a bar fight
Aether is most likely to start one.
Callie's most likely to win, though. She fights dirty.
Hey! ...actually, no, I can't argue with that.

Hello? Are you… you escaped Yggdrasil?
-Calliope (@devil-and-dragon)
I did, yes. Did- Did you?
What planet did you escape from?
Eydis.
Let me hope.
Ok.

I’m glad that I’ve been able to give some insight into the traditions you’re familiar with. This conversation has also helped me remember some about life on Nidavellir, which is… I’m just very glad of it.

If my memory serves me right, children were cared for more by certain members of the community depending on age, similarly to how children were cared for in Hel. It was always a whole-community effort, though. Like a saying from Earth that Aether taught me- “it takes a village to raise a child.” The elder children were expected to help with the younger and do basic chores around the community but it wasn’t until coming-of-age at the solstices that one was considered an adult.
I am glad you have each other and can carry on the history and gardens of Helheim. I was alone when I left Nidavellir aside from the Doctor, who… well, let’s just say she wasn’t from Yggdrasil and had no care to carry on its history or culture. It’ good that you have each other. I hope someday you will be able to choose your fruit, Stigandr, wherever you end up.

Oh! Um. This looks familiar but I can’t remember what it is.
It’s an orange, Callie. A fruit from Earth.
Oh. Right. Is- uhm- Aether-
Is it stuck between your horns?
Maybe.
Come here, I’ll get it.

That’s not as bad as they told us. We were told there was nothing but the prison and a few greenhouses, no towns or anything. Not really surprising, looking back on it. It sounds like you had some nice communities. What other traditions did you have?

I don’t… remember much of Nidavellir. I’ve been around for so long…
I remember a few traditions, though. We sang and danced on the solstices and equinoxes, and we would give people we cared about jewelry for their horns and tail. We had different styles depending on your relationship with the person you were giving them to.
We didn’t have many trees. There were mountains, but not as high as on other planets I’ve seen, and most of the planet was covered in fields. At least, where I travelled, from what I remember.
What was Helheim like? I have a feeling it wasn’t exactly how they told us, but I never had a chance to really learn.

Yes! I’m from Nidavellir. I… it’s nice to meet someone else who knew… anything about Yggdrasil.

OOC Intro
Hello, and welcome to this blog! This is a roleplay blog for two of my Mechanisms OCs, Calliope and Aether!
Calliope, purple text, is from Nidavellir in the Yggdrasil system, and uses she/they. Her mechanism is the left half of their head, neck, and upper chest, and her left shoulder and upper arm. They were mechanised after escaping Yggdrasil just before it was destroyed, and the lingering effects of the Bifrost made the bismuth alloy of her mechanism into a shimmering rainbow.
Aether, green text, is from Earth, and uses he/her. His mechanism is her spine and part of his skull, as well as detachable horns, wings, and tail. She was picked up by Calliope during a stop on Earth to refuel, after which he was mechanised, before they left Doctor Carmilla and stole their own ship.
Now, the two of them roam the galaxies together!
This blog is run by @perseus-fairchild. Feel free to send in whatever asks you’d like, and have fun!
