“okay! it looks good here!” devin stepped back and admired the small, framed painting she placed directly over her bed. this was about the fifteenth time she’d moved the piece, always unsure of why she had placed it where she placed it each time. and there was that feeling again. uncertainty. even though it was just a painting of a dolphin she made when she was 9, she wanted it to be in the right space in her room. why could she not be okay with just one spot? “what do you think? should i move it?”

“I feel like I picked the worst time to come back.” Stassi spoke, before taking a sip of her smoothie. “I was actually quite enjoying my time on the yacht. Kind of made me rethink my plans for the future. Maybe it’s time to drop out and be apart of the Bravo Real Housewives cast. It’s something I was born to do.” She was clearly joking as a small smile graced her lips but quickly faltered. “But really, what’s been going on?”

“Ugh, Bravo would looove us,” Devin remarked, sucking from the straw of her own smoothie. She took a few sips before responding. “No, but seriously. I’m so glad you got to have that time for yourself. Next time you go, please let me know. Other than that... I’ve been...okay. Classes have been tough. This is the first time I’ve ever struggled with school. I’m sure I can get through it, but... it’s rough.”

devin was raised by her father, who is the creator and developer of an app called TasteBuds, a social media network for food lovers. the app is very successful, putting him near the top of the forbes’ top 100 list. he is also a lockwood university alum. devin has not talked to her mother in years.

being born and raised in miami, she has always been near and in the ocean. easy access to the beach and her outstanding love for animals sparked her interest to major in marine biology.

though her father is very wealthy and could’ve given her anything she wanted if asked, devin participated in community service and extracurriculars simply because it made her feel good. 

devin may seem to be a perfect daughter, but a bad breakup put her attitude to the test and brought her to her breaking point. things got so bad to the point where she got in trouble with the law. her father cleaned up the charges and acts like nothing ever happened, but devin still thinks about how out of hand her temper got and beats herself up about it.

applying to lockwood was second nature to devin. her father attended, so devin didn’t think twice about applying herself. she got in almost instantly, not only from her high GPA and community service, but from the connections her father still had over at lockwood.
